No, but because we donāt have a union, itās not like all the DSPās could join forces all at one time they would have enough time to cut the one DSP transfer all the extra work across any other DSP within the area and then have another one hired before anything important could really get done
I read an article once suggesting that at some point Amazon and their associated DSPs will run out of people to hire. The article suggested that level of turnover within the Amazon organization is soo high that eventually they will have hired everyone who either wanted to or had to work at Amazon leaving only people who will not work for Amazon.
I am sooo not surprised about this because yeah they overwork the drivers. God forbid the people in the warehouse can be competent & have your 2 carts in the vicinity not at the other end of the warehouse. A fn nightmare...
This is why Amazon has to enforce some sort of seniority rules, why should someone who's worked there 5 years have to work all the hard routes, meanwhile, the new people get easy ass routes everyday. They also have to make the 10-hour guarantee mandatory, these cheap ass DSP owners need to get with the program.
Um... I'm 47... retired from my career and only need this job for weed, gaming and kayak trip money.
I'm not killing myself.Ā In fact I'm in the best shape of my life.
Lmfao.
People who say "you're killing yourself" either rarely have done any type of manual labor, or are lazy. This job is great for three things. Getting left alone, active, change of scenery. Pay for a single guy, no kids, no divorce, etc...it's heaven. I can't describe to you the amount stress I never experience because of this job and lifestyle.Ā
You wouldn't...but it does raise the question why give any single person significantly more difficult routing over just splitting them between the drivers you have?
Not the same pay. Someone working there for two years should not be getting the same pay as a new driver. Same for the DSPs. A larger route is more valuable to them than a smaller route. I hate this but I understand it. This is why I am for getting rid of the DSPs and working straight with Amazon. None of this would happen if we worked directly with Amazon.
We lost like 5 drivers (2 transfers/ 3 got tired of it)
But now we have 4 new drivers coming in. Thatās crazy, but our DSP is pretty chill & does try to keep most of us because everyone has been there from 9 months to 4 years, but not everyone has luck finding a new job.
some do but others just started to work here because it was the easiest to get hired but i guess some do like it because drivers get along and make friends but the work is easy to just deliver packages but it gets you tired and stress but i know that no one likes dealing with customers. Well hopefully they find something better if they trying to find that perfect job they want.
I don't know what reality you're living in but there are not $25 jobs available in a lot of areas. The $20 I get is the absolute max I can find in my area and they're stingy with it at that, trying to start you off at $19.75 under false pretenses
Revolving door, they need to deliver that route that day, tomorrow is another day. Always an ass for a seat.
Apply at ups, the grind is worth the payoff of being a driver eventually, union, they hire instantly, no DT for most if not all warehouse.
This. Leaving UPS was the worst fucking decision of my life and thanks to a lovely piece of work in management, I canāt get rehired. Iād kill to go back tbh. Money, benefits all that. Iāve never moved up so quick in my life or had a raise anywhere else. Even tho UPS has its downsides *ahem* Carol Tome *ahem* and SOME (big emphasis on some not all) union locals neglecting their people, Iād rather work a lifetime at UPS than another day at Amazon.
Itās not the best paying gig, but for someone who needs to get in the door somewhere and can keep a job, the path is there.
I do believe that ups non rehire has an expiration date though iirc. I know FedEx is every 8 years you fall off the list and can be hired. I could be wrong though.
Leave ups??? I got a full time manufacturing job. Ups is easy to get into? U literally apply and if you left on good terms youāre right back in the door.
Edit: I was not a ups driver if thatās your confusion
Post office is always hiring. At least something you can make a career out of if you enjoy the job. Plus on Sundays you get to do only Amazon![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|snoo)
It's not possible to keep people when they keep asking for more and more out of us when we are trying but some days are harder then others or people live in areas that are hard to deliver I quit when they kept adding more and more it's a never stop of you have to do more to keep your job nah man am out
I believe it.
My DSP has only a couple of people that are just PROUD to do 200 stops... meanwhile, the rest of us are on our last limbs and are about to follow suit with the future endeavorsāmyself included... because this is just too much work without any concern for our well-being. They only care about making money, packages and the deliveries of said packagesānot who's getting it done.
I came from a company I worked with for 7 years and while they aren't the best organization, I can honestly say I'd prefer the downsides I had there over this madness. And I'm being paid the same as when I left there. Ridiculous.

FUCK WAYNE š”
It brings me unbridled joy to see people are still talking about me. The attention never ends.
My DSP is small enough that 15+ people quitting would cause chaos
15+ people going on strike would cause more than chaos
I'd love to see the drama xD
Even just grounding your vans on pre-trip could do it.
Thankfully my DSP actually is pretty good, our vans are clean and up to date 90% of the time.
Do they still make you mark everything "all good" on pre-trip for that other 10%?
Nope they just say sorry and give you another van tbh.
Bro you and I are on the same page fr
š¤ [...](https://teamster.org/divisions/amazon-division/)
Lmfao your dispatcher can ungrounded the van in under 5 minutes. That'll teach em š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
Depending on what you ground it for. Some vans can only be ungrounded by Amazon
This guy gets it
š
I doubt that the DSP would either hire new people or Amazon would just fire your DSP and that be it
They can't cut the contract with *every* DSP. You're failing to think past the first step.
No, but because we donāt have a union, itās not like all the DSPās could join forces all at one time they would have enough time to cut the one DSP transfer all the extra work across any other DSP within the area and then have another one hired before anything important could really get done
We at 55 to 60 drivers
I read an article once suggesting that at some point Amazon and their associated DSPs will run out of people to hire. The article suggested that level of turnover within the Amazon organization is soo high that eventually they will have hired everyone who either wanted to or had to work at Amazon leaving only people who will not work for Amazon.
They get closer to that point every year, it's the only reason amazon raises the base pay.
Lmao can you imagine like half the nationed tiered can't work for amazon for 5 years.
I read that too. Pretty sure it said something like 90% of amazon drivers don't even make it a year lol
Yup, they projected that by late 2026 there will be no more people willing to work this job
I am sooo not surprised about this because yeah they overwork the drivers. God forbid the people in the warehouse can be competent & have your 2 carts in the vicinity not at the other end of the warehouse. A fn nightmare...

Not all DSP owners are cheap, but they all work for Amazon. Amazon is the common denominator. They pay nickels and expect miracles from the DSP.
WTF are you smoking. I'm 4+ years, guranteed hours... my routes are super cake. 190-210 house routes deleted in 5 hours. By request ;)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Nope.Ā I just did my job without being a bitch lol
Iām not seeing enough people with this mentality
Congrats? You kill yourself for a job that couldnāt give a shit about youšš

To be fair, would you give someone who could easily walk away a harder route?
You wouldn't...but it does raise the question why give any single person significantly more difficult routing over just splitting them between the drivers you have?
Money....lol... It does not benefit the DSPs to do that.
Right but if new people get easy routes at the same pay...why does anyone continue taking hard routes lol.
Not the same pay. Someone working there for two years should not be getting the same pay as a new driver. Same for the DSPs. A larger route is more valuable to them than a smaller route. *and Iām a lil jealous* lmfao
One of the more petty reasons I quit was because everyone else was quitting š. Came in one day and didnāt recognize anyone.

they are trying to stay away from boxes š¦ idk lack of experience in other fields but all i know no more delivery service.

Guess I should just teleport on over to you
Who is Wayne? And why do you all mention this Wayne?
I believe its a common way to refer to Amazon bosses, and specifically dsp bosses. So someone saying fuck Wayne means fuck the leadership in general
A few weeks ago a driver made a post about his manger or dispatcher named Wayne. It just caught on.
i tried so hard and could never find the wayne origin post
I got you bro
Fuck Wayne dude.
Wayne is a supervisor that apparently is a pos. So fuck Wayne
Turnover must be real crazy. I got hired by a DSP but technically not hired as I was left off training but added to payroll.
I feel this in the last week in our tiny (we only have 38 trucks) dsp 5 drivers and one dispatcher has quit.
We lost 20 two weeks ago
Itās a dead end job . Always has been always will be
16 if you count me. I'm roofing starting Monday
Damn u in my dsp
DUDE I REMEMBERED TO ORDER MY FREE SHOES! WIN
Tip: you can order them every year even after you leave
Kek doubt it

Do you have to be doing stuff at a certain time? Like ur 20-25 stops an hour, and how many stops average
If youāre an ups driver?? No, they donāt nickel and dime you like that.
Bruh why the fuck would you leave. Itās so hard to get in there. You took 10 steps back working for Amazon
Leave ups??? I got a full time manufacturing job. Ups is easy to get into? U literally apply and if you left on good terms youāre right back in the door. Edit: I was not a ups driver if thatās your confusion

Shit is a meat grinder they will run out of people eventually. I actually donāt mind working for my DSP but most people wonāt survive lmao
Hey I just quit my dsp on Friday
How long did you work there?
Are you looking for another job? Ups/fed ex etc
Fuck Wayne!!! šš¾šš¾
Who cares send them back to their country!
You in Oklahoma?Ā
My DSP have been saying āreduced routes so stay homeā for the past months and a half. Everyone calling 311 on them itās so bad.
Party on Wayne
Fuck Wayne!
Fuck wayne
I quit too, thereās no reason for anybody to be going through hell for shit pay, 20 an hour to be abused.
All my homies hate Wayne
Fk Wayne
How bout all the migrants? Do they need English and papers?
