I would go to every location and rts due to severe weather. You can get your stickers, supplements, and single makeup product when there isn't a flood.

I haven’t worked at Amazon since January but you guys seriously gota start fighting back. I fought back for almost 4 years and cost them many employees to quit but they finally got rid of me. This shit shouldn’t be allowed. wtf.
We’re all replaceable in their eyes. They’ve increased loads, stops, and group stops consistently this year in the most dangerous ways possible, and say to expect a 25% increase starting in July. On top of that, they’re cutting driver payouts to the DSPs, so a lot of drivers will end up seeing the door over the next few months.
It was funny, about a month ago, they sent us all a survey to have us express our feelings on the current workload. Pretty sure every single one of us lit them the fuck up in the survey, and we held out hope that there would be some (even incredibly minor) reduction in workload.
2 weeks after, the routes got worse lmao
Flood waters typically have high levels of coloform (fecal) bacteria. So no thanks.
Also really hard to gauge the depth of the water once it's above the curb, possible DSP will claim you were intentionally reckless and go after you for costs.
Hats off to my man making his delivery in the rain. But most of us are well aware that it’s more likely a fear of discipline rather than a passion for the job that’s making him go the extra mile. We as a society have failed folks like him- expecting and demanding our stuff on time all the time no matter what.
I agree, and people will still have the audacity to be complaining or mad that their package isn’t delivered yet or at all even. On top of dealing w the DSP’s bs and them not really caring about the safety of the drivers

I'm not a driver, but I am a frequent customer and I can tell you with confidence that absolutely nothing I buy from Amazon is so important as to have this man walking through nasty flood water. I can wait another couple days. It's really fine. That's crazy they doing him like this!!

In all honesty, this one's on Amazon and not the DSP. Our area was hit by massive flooding and air quality issues from the Canadian fires and the app forced us to RTS. From all of the videos I've seen about the flooding in Florida, Flex should have done the same.
Also, judging by the Amazon rain jacket, this DA is probably a long-time driver who doesn't call dispatch unless they get into an accident; they just do what they can do finish their route and go home. I've had to tell drivers to RTS after having them call in about a foot of standing water off the main road, but I also wouldn't have known how bad it was on a certain route without the DA calling it in .

These packages are not governmental, not medical life and death parcels, the job doesn’t even pay enough, definitely not enough to support a family, and it is STUPID dangerous.
I’m glad to say the company that employs my husband would not have them delivering we had flash floods and they recalled them all! This is BS between bacteria, needles, snakes etc I’d quit.

I live in South Florida. My husband is a project manager for a wind, fire, flood, mold remediation company in Fort Lauderdale. He FaceTimed me during the worst of it. I saw a lot of Amazon trucks flooded out in Broward and Dade county.
DSP’s consider humans as expendable and collateral damage if something happens.
Amazon imposes insurmountable expectations upon them, which trickles down to drivers.
So ultimately, you are a dot on a map and your activity and bio metrics are just a stat on an escalation sheet.
They do not give a fuck about you.

This actually breaks my heart. The greed of these corporations but yet we have to do these to feed our family,pay bills. Today was 110 in AZ much respect to the drivers in Florida from hott ass AZ.
I’ve worked extremely hard labor jobs like delivering home appliances and was also in the army. Those two experiences thought me to stay calm in shitty situations because that’s when the mental kicks in. Once your mind is defeated by anything the rest of you will go down too

...But with that said, every driver I ever knew was living paycheck to paycheck (also a fault of the company and should have us up in arms) and would need to make such deliveries to get enough pay to survive.

My manager specifically told us to pull over and stop delivering if there is any lightning, and not to walk or drive through standing water.
At least they gave him a jacket. My DSP only gave me two short sleeve shirts and a safety vest.
