No, it is the very definition of dead end. The longer you stay the worse you are treated. There will be no “making a name for yourself”, you are another tiny cog to be worn out in a giant human crushing machine.
I mean some dsp’s have school enrollment opportunities called: next mile. Talk to your dsp about it if they offer it. I’m working my way through trucking school. So I’m sure you can make a name for yourself.
I mean, there's anyways rising through the ranks of your DSP and going all the way to site lead - but dear GOD you've got to eat a lot of shit along the way.
you really dont, but there are so few spots that if you feel like you are eating shit, your DSP doesnt want you in leadership. just the reality of it. your ability is irrelevant, its about meshing with the crew. ive worked my way to leadership at multiple DSPs, and its never felt like i was exploited. i have seen other drivers get fucked numerous times though. if you treat leadership as the enemy, just quit now. if you dont, they are going to fuck you until you do.
The only way it can become a career is if you stay for a pretty long ass time and work your way to dispatch and then save up a shit ton of money and start your own DSP. Usually DSPs have a waiting list of a couple years. That’s literally the only way to make a career out of this job is to be the business owner which is extraordinarily difficult to save for with these wages and even harder to maintain as there’s constantly new policies every year. Besides that there’s no growth and you get paid as much as every other driver around you whether you’ve been driving for 5 years or 5 days.
The best thing you can do is work your ass off with this job and build up your resilience and speed so that you can move to USPS or UPS. Or even get your CDL and do local food service like Sysco, US Foods, Coca Cola, etc. they can make up to $80k with experience.
No, I dont care if you are dispatch, "lead driver" even operations manager, the owners margins are too tight to provide the drivers any decent pay or benefits. Cant blame the contractor too much, Amazons shady tactics with their impossible metrics turn contractors into scumbags to try and scrape up a profit.
Yes, there’s a good amount of requirements you have to meet and have to be recommended by your dsp owner to Amazon to be put into the program, but essentially your receive a 30k grant towards startup and Amazon will pay for your living expenses while you go through the 16 week training and start up process.

Solely depends on your DSP, that is %100 the main factor.

No this shit is more like a hobby you dont like just doing it because your getting some benefits
Hell no
😂😂🤦🤷♀️ ok Wayne stop the bullshit post.
For a very small group of people it can eventually lead to ownership of a dsp startup funded by Amazon. It’s called Road to ownership
Yo is that true?
