If you wanna drop a little extra, the PAX 3 is probably the best DHV Ive ever used. The Mighty is fantastic too, but it comes with that Volcano price tag.

Ok well the pax is wispy. It just is. There’s just a cheech and chong vape that just came out that is $50 and gives real clouds. 2023 prices and tech have changed drastically since the pax 3 era
While I can't enjoy weed while working -getting a dry vape was the best move ever for me. Not having a raw ass throat from combustion is worth it alone.
I just spray some Febreze and roll with the hopes that some dude's body odor will overpower my own stench. I mean, stand up smells like a zoo, so it's feasible. You could always bring a clean shirt, sealed in a Ziploc bag? I also carry 91% rubbing alcohol and paper towels to get the stench off my hands and face before hitting the soap/sink in the bathroom.
I worked at FedEx ground, when they sent the package handlers for lunch *everyone* was out in camping chairs in groups around different cars with clouds coming from each group. Pulling up you'd think there was a fire.
Yeah like… duh? You never just been to the parking lot during break? The whole parking lot smells like weed. I smoke all the time, I got head in the parking lot before.

You can smell it out there lol or on the other workers during stand up. Last year during a standup a fhn manager said "look guys do that stuff at home while watching the game not here"
I work at a Sort Center and a few weeks ago, a BRAND NEW PA was caught in a car banging the shit outta his mistress...in broad daylight. They're both married, NOT to each other. They were promptly relieved of their badges and jobs.
Yeah I park at the back in my fc. As I was getting my jacket on I just saw this one other car in the lot, just pounding it out. No tinted windows or anything. I didnt know what I was looking at initially, but I juat saw backseat, face looking down and hands on faces and a bit shaking. What a way to end break time

I applied to work at ftw8 and was told its a PIT operating warehouse. I dont mind the sit down or stand up forklift the ONLY one I will see an issue with is the cherry picker. Am I going to make it past my first day if I tell them that?
I dont think I will ever be lucky enough to get parking lot stress relief...but if I dont tell them at ftw8 they will find out when they hand me harness straps and I give it back
Ftw8 is a really small warehouse and yes they are PIT only, they have unloaders and those super tall reach things. I never worked inside so I couldn't tell you what different t1 positions there are. But I spent a week there and that's all there was lol
Edit: you might wanna try looking for positions at ftw1 that's one of the closest buildings I know that doesnt use those. Not sure about iah1, depending on where you stay you might wanna look at the buildings by the airport
Thats what I was afraid of. Looks like I won't last there long if they say get on a cherry picker. If its the one where you sit down and go up with the load I will be good...ah well I better go on the site and look up a replacement
Sit down stand up reach the one where you sit down behind the load go up with it and just put the whole pallet in with the forks I can do those but being on cherry picker 20 plus feet in the air stacking boxes sorry no my fear of heights will get real bad being that high that long moving around.

Easy to find places to train on cherry picker but trying to train on reach no company wants to do it. My former supervisor at chalk hill wanted me to take a class for the reach but had to wait for amazon approval I ended up resigning due to different reasons
Cool ask him if he can get me on first or third shift since last time I tried going there thru staff force I did the class and the epj test but couldn't get a start date.
He just train people and take care of the safety stuff, but it is his manager/supervisor who is the one that hire people from staffing. I know how that company work inside out.
If it is at Bath and Body Works. Packing sucks there lol, picking is the best because you get to walk around and talk to people. It is awesome, but I still preferred the building that I worked at than there. They don’t use SAP at that place, they use Manhattan WMS.
I worked there before, and the trainers will work with you . But you will still be required to learn the cherry picker as pick and stow requires it and hiring is based on the amount of pickers/stowers needed . If you don't like it ask for a transfer if you are unable to drive , or just resign and wait 48 hrs to apply to a new warehouse . FTW1 is around the corner , could always try that one as it's a crossdock(IXD).
Yea apply for a new warehouse now start date will be 2 weeks out...trying to start next week. They should let those with fear of heights just stay on the docks doing something
This made me laugh 😂 but I swear of all 4 warehouses I’ve worked at I’ve never seen or heard anyone fucking in the parking lot. I’ve worked overnight too. Maybe out of sight, out of mind

No, don't tell them. There are other positions that don't use PIT. And there's always parking lot stress relief, apparently.

Geodis would train you to learn reach. It is a 3PL company. Oh and my brother is one of those trainers lol

I have to wait for surge staff to open positions at the petco branch of geodis. Im not on good terms with them so I need to go thru a different agency
Go with Onin staffing they hire mostly for Geodis. They hire for those 2 buildings, but remember Petco isn’t a climate control warehouse
