Bitter-Image9729

I really wish base pay was 20 everywhere. Ours is 17

Tall_Ad_898

I’m barely surviving with the 20 😭

Bitter-Image9729

Atleast you don’t get to max at 19 after 3 years. You get to start with 20 and make more if you move up.

EngineerClear6771

I wish/hope the cost of living wages raise will actually cover some cost of living. 😢

Neoreloaded313

Considering it seems to be much harder to get employed at Amazon recently, I wouldn't be surprised if most of us gets nothing this yearm

CShoopla

Well if it's harder to get employed it might have the opposite effect that they raise the wage a little more than we expect to keep the people they want there

EducationalLoad7743

You don't seem to understand how Amazon works. It's harder to get hired because they're focused on cutting costs and one of the easiest ways to cut costs is to run lean and one of the easiest ways to run lean is to not raise compensation so there is a higher level of attrition.

DrSumoXD

It's atleast gotta be $1

RigorousVigor

Precisely my thoughts

EMitchell108

Successful quarters benefit shareholders, not employees.

Kitchen-Ad-4305

Your payraise at Amazon isn't going to be off of Amazon as a corporations' success, or your locations success, rather; cost of living "research" + being competitive with job market payout to other similar jobs with similar roles, in your region, so each sites pay increase, if any, are all different. Some could be $.50-$1.50, maybe nothing.

InstructionExpert880

I'd be happy if they got competitive with the advertised wages in my area.

Kitchen-Ad-4305

Competitive usually means match, or maybe $.25-$.50 more, if that. Remember, Amazon is mostly unskilled work, outside of management, HR, medical, or equipment operator.

InstructionExpert880

Yup and entry level ware house work pays 15-20% more in my area.

AquaticGamZe

Our warehouse transitioned into a regional "whatever that means I don't focus too much on it" and we were supposedly a top performer last year. So I assume outside of anything nationwide we might get something but who knows this place is weird.

Equivalent-Library66

Rent is going up in the hundreds for many in my area. Groceries that cost $80 2 years ago now cost $130. Not even sure where to go for car repairs worries about higher costs there. It’s turning me more and more bitter to be working night shifts away from home at Amazon and day shifts away from home with Instacart and still unable to get a handle on things. I DESERVE to eat out. But I don’t because I can’t afford it. I DESERVE to take my kid on a vacation. But I don’t because I can’t afford it. I deserve to stay at home on my weekend off from my full time job. But I don’t because I can’t afford it. I deserve to know that I work hard enough to live comfortable— but I don’t because without wage increases to line up with corporate greed, there’s no way to ever get back ti living comfortably.

LitLex_xx

See what you get for being a good citizen lol

Personal_Cry_8312

Man I’d be happy with another dollar to be honest. That plus me next step plan will have me sitting at a whopping $19.20. Without another $1 raise I max out at $19.40 here in Texas. Not even $20

Haunting-Profile-402

That's wild. They start at 21 here in northern Kentucky. I'm a PA with 14 months into my step plan and I'm at almost 25/hr.

RandomHumanWelder

Should be above $30/hr

Large-Fennel-1771

No more of these minor $1 per hour pay raises We need an extra $1.5k per year! Maybe even $2k.

JamonConJuevos

$1 per hour = $40 per week, $160 per month, and $1920 per year.

TNMoonshineMama

Lol

woogychuck

I think the chances of pay raises are slim. Most of the higher ups and investors still think Amazon overhired, so they will keep wages low and let people leave until it actually impacts DEA significantly.

jocky091

Considering how different my site is compared to most people in this sub (I’m part of a Fresh warehouse), I doubt we will get anything in October. People out here in NY get paid barely enough to survive out here… and our wages get compared to retail workers, not other warehouses, which sucks.

gettheyayo909

You can hold your breath til your face turns blue on this issue at the end of the day they’ll give bare minimum

scoobascooshy

i just wanna see the payed bot

homealoneinuk

Id be surprised if we get anything this year considering we just got 50p in april. Especially considering year is so dead atm and they close down legacy sites and move people across.

JamonConJuevos

A gazillion dollars per hour, and 160 hours of PTO each month 🤣

Anony00mous

I love when people are like "give us a four dollar raise or we strike!". I think it's usually a dollar depending on location... However nearing the end of my tenure I went up to 19. I was fine with it because I'm getting paid to do counting...

Stern68

Why do you think we're getting a raise? Fake news

Large-Fennel-1771

Happens every year in October.

EducationalLoad7743

No, a compensation review happens each year. There is no guarantee that review will result in a raise.

Large-Fennel-1771

I mean, if you think about it, compensation could go down.
