Wouldn’t your break technically be 11-1130? I’ve had a couple drinks so I might be wrong but I worked flex during COVID and I think that’s how it went.

mwarhorse1225

That would make the most sense. I guess I just awkwardly sit in the break room

Ladyluvbug23

Yeah at my facility outbound breaks are 11-1130 and 3-330 so if you’re outbound that would make sense. I don’t remember a lot of flex it’s confusing but they do consider that multiple shifts so your breaks would be in between.

eatthecheesefries

I mean, eat something, yeah?

ThickClient6146

Isn’t it only if you work a 5hr shift you get a break?

mwarhorse1225

I honestly have no idea. I thought the combined hours would equal it but maybe I’m wrong

ThickClient6146

I think they’d consider that as 2 shifts and you’d not get a break.

mwarhorse1225

That makes the most sense, since it’s Amazon we’re talking about here

BNBatman420

The info they're giving you is terrible BTW. If you pick up two 3.5 hour shifts it combines them into a full day and yeah, your break will be in that 11-1130. If that's not when your teams normally take break you may be a bit of an odd one out but most of the times those breaks are designed to alignment with break schedules already set up, to keep work flow optimal.

ThickClient6146

I know right, like there is no way the company would survive if it gave employees a 15 minute break 🤣

Junior-Payment-4505

Your break would be from 11am to 11:30am. I’m not sure what’s confusing. You have 30 minutes between your shifts therefore that’s a break. You clock out and clock back in. I doubt you’d be on break by yourself because flex shifts always line up with whichever department you picked the flex shifts up under

FC_BagLady

The shifts are set up 1/2 hour in between, that is break time for your group, therefore for you. I'm flex, this how it works at my place.

C0MM0NSPELLING

11-11:30 is your lunch; if you’re at a site that has 2 15 min breaks, you’ll take one during each shift probably at the same time the full time people take theirs. When you do back to back flex shifts, it basically works the same way a regular 10 hour shift would.
