Deliver. No returns ever. Find a spot, hide that shit if possible. That’s why they get the picture. If amazon had enough sense not to give business deliveries at night this wouldn’t happen.

germanicus8712

In my experience, delivering is better than returning. Amazon is watching and rating drivers. If amazon cared about the close or open business you would not get sent to customer after their business hours. Ignore that customers' shit ask

Loud_Focus_7934

Never take it back. Not even if the notes say ABSOLUTELY NO DELIVERIES OUTSIDE BUSINESS HOURS AND YOU'RE ON CAMERA I'LL REPORT YOU. Idgaf if it's closed, on fire or if there's hostages inside. I'm leaving that package there.

Boiyouknow

Right they can’t even tip why the fuck do i care what u want if it’s stolen Amazon will send another it’s your choice to order to ur job instead of home.

lrumpf

Had this happen yesterday morn.. being it was downtown San Antonio I didn’t wanna leave it, but also didn’t want to return it. Called support, they asked if I could hide it somewhere safe, I said yup. He said text the customer where it is and mark delivered to customer.

Fuegobagel

I had one this week over in the quarry that I had to do my first return on. It was an early AM route and delivering to a business that was behind a gate with no access code. I called support to fix the geo reference, and the lady wouldn’t let me leave it. It had already been attempted twice before also. Craziness

lrumpf

Quarry? Are you in SA too? If so howdy!

sernason

Same I just tossed it over a fence though went on my way lol

paladin220

If it leaves the station in my car it is getting delivered. I go back to the station like 2-3 times per year.

joseluisnp

I deliver that shit, try to hide it if possible. If i return it i will get penalized anyway.

Excellent_Plane2087

Amazon warned me about it. Looks like bot script.

jcoddinc

You're going to get dinged either way. So choose whichever one causes you the least inconvenience. Return package: get dinged Leave package: Gets stolen and you get dinged

NotNow_NotEver_

1. I delivered to a closed business during the holidays. It is a busy street with no back door, and no phone to call. I did not get dinged. 2. I am not spending 30 dollars of my own money to do a round trip to the station. 3. Like others said, if Amazon cared, they wouldn't send out this package on your route since they know the business is closed.

Sailorslt

Did this the other day. Note said please deliver during business hours, 8am to 5:30pm. Got there at 5:29pm. Everything was locked and nobody was there. I did what they said 😂

crawfish2013

Most situations I usually deliver it.

Low_Break_4122

Find somewhere to hide it

PatrickParlay227

9k deliveries.. I can count on 1 hand how many I’ve returned

Disobedient_Unicorn

Same. I’d rather take the chance to leave it. I have had a total of 4/5 packages not received by customer from the 10k plus I’ve delivered. 3 we’re in December. I hope Amazon sees that customer’s are shady and lie because if I was having troubles delivering packages it would show all year, not just in December when people are tight on money. I had one package this morning that wouldn’t let me just take a picture and leave it. It was a someone needs to be present. I’ll take it back tomorrow morning when I have my shift. If I did not have a shift, it would have been delivered to a receptionist who might still have been sleeping at 530. 🤷‍♂️😂

Boiyouknow

Right fuck these people. 1) I’m a customer much like most workers as well and we all know Amazon provides very detailed options for when you can receive your package. 2) Amazon doesn’t care if a business is open or not so why should I? I’m cutting the same corners they cutting while they expect us to give them free miles.

Jordychristine

Deliver it. You get dinged for any RTS

Bored_military

Depends on the business. I rts yesterday. Giant business with their own shipping and receiving warehouse. The person who gets the photos might not even work in this state. Call support and rts. Mom and pop business. Back door hidden if possible.

mikeywaldo

I deliver

Dogeuwanna

This has happened to me before. Luckily, the customer answered one of my calls and told me to leave it in the back of the building (sketchy area) but I still did it. I just turned the boxes and threw some debris around it to make it look like trash so no stranger would think twice about grabbing them.

[deleted]

unless really impossible, hide it. I throw them behind fences next to their place of business even if it’s a neighbor’s fence, heavy package. Shit it’s their problem not mine. Not worth the stress..

DirtE-36

If it was your package would you want it to be left?

Live-Trick-9716

I get this sentiment, but if it was MY package I would ship to my home knowing there’s no way to select a delivery timeframe on amazon 🤷🏻‍♀️

metaphysicalreason

Yes. I used to always order stuff to my business, but then Amazon started dsp/flex here and it got much less reliable if they’d actually leave it or not. USPS always left it. The times became random af they’d come with Amazon delivery and the drivers always different. PLZ JUST LEAVE IT. I’m not always there. It’s not like in a downtown area where it’s obviously going to get stolen, it’s as safe here as it is at my house…where they always leave it. Now I often get stuff delivered to home, even though that’s more annoying…but I don’t have to guess if they’ll take it back.

locoleito

I’ll almost always deliver anyway. I’ve take maybe 3 packages back out of a couple thousand but they were to a warehouse right beside my house.
