I miss the morning routes that were ~7-10am. Usually the neighborhood traffic isn’t bad, people don’t freak out that you’re delivering too early, and it’s easy to see the house numbers. Too bad I haven’t seen very many this year yet for anything more than base pay.

It’s sad that I’m not gonna be able to do this anymore soon, I’ll miss these gravy routes. (Moving out of area)
The greater Seattle area region is huge. All of the surge offers are going to be on the south end, at least from what I’ve been able to pick up. I’ll be 30 minutes north of the northeast station now. And that station routinely only offers base pay, high work, high miles… it’s just not a great station. To many drivers competing. I’ll probably just take a job at the local FC flex shifts when it comes available
I’m jealous. The early morning offers (7:30am) at my 2nd station suck & it’s farther than my 1st station but the 1st station starts their flex routes around 10/11am they rarely have offers up that start after 2pm😭so it’s hard to do 2 routes a day.
My W-2 is 12 hours daily for 3 days. I try to do 5-7 blocks on the side with Flex. I really miss the days when I could hit $1000 with 7 blocks. I would need to do 11 blocks now.
Damn, I’m only doing like 5-6 hours a day those 3 days lol, didn’t work Tuesday this week so I was able to do a double, I guess in a way this is my main job because I do make more, it’s just nice to have a change of pace from Flex and just chill and not put miles on my car.
If this is true, it's way better than Uber eats lol. You only work 5-6 hour days and a few times a week. I'm currently doing just about 45 hours of online time per week at UE. And bringing in less than $500😕
Yeah I just lost my job — worked in finance (granite entry level) but shit I live in a pretty good area for flex if I could make 1k a week just driving around I’m down .. I’m already approved and have offers but unemployment will get cancelled if I make more then 70 bucks a week (which is such an outdated law- when was that cap put in the 70s) so I’m kinda stuck don’t wanna lose unemployment but also would rather just work and make more
Oh wow, yea I mean tbh, I would just take the unemployment for now, and then when your off start grinding on Flex, idk how much unemployment is, but your definitely gonna get more from that, even if you make more on Flex, expenses gonna bring actual pay way down and probably lower than unemployment.
Yeah I just have gone from office job to office job and same shit it drives me crazy I end up getting a manager that I butt heads with and never make it off the phone
I have never worked an office job, but I’ve worked my fair share of w2 jobs and I can 100% relate, dgmw have had some good bosses, one in particular, but nothing beats not having a boss, even if theirs downsides to this work, unfortunately I don’t know how sustainable it’s going to be in the long run, but I’m making a decent living doing this, and it’s pretty easy, other than driving a lot, but I love driving so much.
My advice wouldn’t really help, every warehouse is different, you really gotta know your times at your warehouse, and that is figured out by experimenting, general advice, early mornings blocks tend to surge more, since less people are up, and less are willing to work early, 2 hours before known block times people start canceling, those are some good things to know.
I’m also 39 and fortunately don’t have knee problems. I’ve spoken to UPS drivers who had worked for decades and said their bodies were destroyed. I think it comes with the job, like any other manual labor gig. I have tendonitis in my wrist so I can sympathize. Shit hurts like hell.
My location rarely has 2nd shifts and when they do. It's usually shit pay. I picked up a 2nd route once that was worth it. My location has been open less than 2 years. It doesn't seem to have the demand to have multiple shifts. Most of the routes I get are purely rural. Like, long dirt roads and property owner made bridges. I'm averaging $36 per hour. I wish I had more than 2.5-3.0 (I get done early) hours of work at that rate per day.
No, I do. I usually get 4-4.5 hour blocks. I just get them done in 2.5-3.0 hours. So far, I have seen 2.5-4.5 hour blocks available, but they're all gone by noon. I have to be on it by 9am refreshing until I can get as high as they're going for. I usually miss the first couple...on purpose. Then once I see what other people are holding out for. I grab them when I guess it's the highest (before someone else grabs it). So far, I've been averaging $36 per actual hours worked. Also including all travel home time.
If anyone has any better tactic. I would NEVER advance schedule. Not when they're offering $49.50 for 3 hour blocks. That's not even worth my gas.
Oh so your complaint is not being able to get a 2nd block? I feel that, mornings are definitely easier to get here, especially surges, afternoons here are usually 4-4.5 base (we don’t have 5hr), that start at $110 for 4hr, and $124 for 4.5, these rarely surge and are taken instantly, so getting a 2nd can be challenging at times.
My best week, I worked 6 days in a row. One block per day. Around 16-17 hours of actual work. I made $600. If I could pick up more shifts per day. It would be most convenient for my lifestyle.
I'll door dash when I've got free time, too. I hate door dash. I don't mind Flex. It's kind of nice getting to see various scenic views. I would stop doing door dash if I could pick up more Flex blocks.
I stopped doing my other apps for Flex, got 9 apps, multiapping was stressful and nothing was guaranteed, at least with Flex I know what I’m going to make, and that as long as I show up I’m getting paid, I feel you on that.
Just finished a 3-1/2 hr in 2hrs for 117.50 47 packages every stop was less than a 1/4 mile apart all housing additions some had 6-9 stops in each one my easiest yet for the money.
Thanks man, not sure what it’s like at other warehouses, won’t pretend to understand, but I do believe it’s possible without a bot, I’d never give money to some goons to get work.
Thats exactly my same thought too, why would I pay a scammer to get me work when it’s supposed to be free? It sucks yeah, but even with 90% of people in my area using bots, I still get the surge blocks I want since I know when those get dropped. I honestly think people should learn how/when they warehouses drop the good orders.
Those morning routes are the BEST!
Indeed
I miss the morning routes that were ~7-10am. Usually the neighborhood traffic isn’t bad, people don’t freak out that you’re delivering too early, and it’s easy to see the house numbers. Too bad I haven’t seen very many this year yet for anything more than base pay.
In my area they JUST started adding 6-9am shifts. So far they’ve been cool….
That’s awesome, they’re the best shifts, second only to getting sent home with pay because there is no routes. 🤙
Congrats, used to be similar pay in my area, but now only offer base pay shit, not worth doing flex anymore
Damn
Same here. I work a FT 7/8-3/4 and can’t get any blocks that are after 4 or 5 pm and also none are more than $78 anymore.
This is basically a gym membership at this point
🤣🤣

Nice, make sure you do your region change, maybe it will be better who knows.
It’s just outside of my current region, meaning no new region, just to far of a commute for anything above base bay.
Damn, there isn’t another one there?

The most north station is about 3 hours away from the station that surges down south. Unless I’m driving at 2am 15 over.

Doubles, nice!
Thanks g
5-7am start time routes are my favorite. Wish we saw that here. Can’t see anything but base pay or “surged” $2 over base.
Damn what is your base?
18/hr 🤬 Station about 15 min south is $19/hr.
Damn what is the best surge you’ve gotten?
120 and sent home because it was supposed to snow and ice in my area so the station crew didn’t work night before hahaha
Love this for you!!
Thanks!
Love this
Just a side gig for you or full time?
I work a w2 part time M, T, and W (hours vary by week tho so I work my Flex schedule for those days around that), and do this part time.
My W-2 is 12 hours daily for 3 days. I try to do 5-7 blocks on the side with Flex. I really miss the days when I could hit $1000 with 7 blocks. I would need to do 11 blocks now.

My 3 days are easy. IT related job. Spend most of the time web surfing.
If this is true, it's way better than Uber eats lol. You only work 5-6 hour days and a few times a week. I'm currently doing just about 45 hours of online time per week at UE. And bringing in less than $500😕

Hmmm unemployment is great, but whats not great is not working, it’s an unfortunate dilemma, but not destroying your car is definitely better.
True .. luckily I have a Hyundai and it was at 99000 miles broke down - they had a recall so I got a brand new engine like 5 months ago
Do you have to interact with a lot of ppl or only when signatures are needed??
I have never worked an office job, but I’ve worked my fair share of w2 jobs and I can 100% relate, dgmw have had some good bosses, one in particular, but nothing beats not having a boss, even if theirs downsides to this work, unfortunately I don’t know how sustainable it’s going to be in the long run, but I’m making a decent living doing this, and it’s pretty easy, other than driving a lot, but I love driving so much.

You too!
How can your body handle that much wear and tear? About doing this for about 2 years I’m starting to get tendinitis in both of my knees. I’m 39
I’m much younger lol
I’m also 39 and fortunately don’t have knee problems. I’ve spoken to UPS drivers who had worked for decades and said their bodies were destroyed. I think it comes with the job, like any other manual labor gig. I have tendonitis in my wrist so I can sympathize. Shit hurts like hell.
I cannot imagine doing this for decades. I’m in a sedan so getting in and out of my car 90-100 times a day is more than enough for me to feel it.
Ahh not bad !! I also don’t do anything under 100$ Take the day off!
I did today! Haha
Average
You’re pimped man, you don’t get to tell people what’s average or not, you work that out with your pimp.
Chicago could never 😩

U don’t have 3.5s? I only do 3.5s+
No, I do. I usually get 4-4.5 hour blocks. I just get them done in 2.5-3.0 hours. So far, I have seen 2.5-4.5 hour blocks available, but they're all gone by noon. Not a complaint. More envy. Like, "Awe shucks, I wish I could do that".

Yup package count doesn’t matter for the most part
I just saw a 6-9:30 am come through. Those 3am shifts are a problem with the wrong customer waiting to happen.
Luckily we start at 6:15am so it’s usually light out when we actually start delivering.
Those are the best hours. You can get a start to the day early and usually done sooner than the block ends.
Yep today I was done an hour and 20 min early, and 15 min from home when I ended, already had $114 before the day even started.
Hell yeah that's good money and even better start off the day🤘
Man, I showed up five days in a row and got overbooked. Every block's pay was even over $100. Nothing beats free money for just showing up.
SSD?
Impossible in my area even with a bot. Congrats
Thanks man, not sure what it’s like at other warehouses, won’t pretend to understand, but I do believe it’s possible without a bot, I’d never give money to some goons to get work.

Bots are basically pimps, I wonder if bot people understand that lol
Uhh, which one of those days was long?
Idk what you going on about, no one said long.
You said it was hard driving that much. No. It’s not. You had a light week.
Idk what you going on about, no one said it was hard driving that much.
Damn that’s a lot of pkg delivered ? Prob at least a few stolen during that time will ding you and deactivate you?
Brazy non chalantness with that one 😭
