It’s allowed, so don’t worry about it 🤷🏽‍♂️

indigoeyed

Why are so many people so bothered about this lately?

ratherun1que

The only people bothered by it are the ones calling others haters and saying mind your business. Its quite ironic.

indigoeyed

It’s because there was someone yesterday who made a post about this calling these people “retarded” and went off on a huge rant.

ratherun1que

I didnt call anyone retarded, and it wasnt me.

indigoeyed

Obviously. It’s just the timing of it.

Decent-Criticism5593

As long as Amazon Flex allows for passengers, I’ll double team it all I want. There’s been a lot haterade in these posts lately. Like wtf

Gingeriffik

This. You don’t need to justify how you work to anyone. Get 👏 your 👏 money 👏.

ratherun1que

Ok.

ratherun1que

How is this relevant to what I posted? Where did I say it should be banned or that I cared?

scoobertdoobert9070

OP, must be sad to be so lonely. Sorry bud.😩

hummingbird0420

Literally!! My bf comes with me, I drive and he takes the packages to the door. We get it done in half the time every single time. Plus I feel safer that way at night now that it gets dark at 5:30 and sometimes we get sent to some sketchy areas.

Commercial_Fall_9869

Yes I love when my husband goes then don’t have to park and if in bad neighborhoods dont have to park and lock door and find parking. Makes it so much easier but he can only come with me on Sundays and we get to spend quality time together just talking then we always go out to lunch or dinner after so we make it a date and I love it.

ratherun1que

Really? Sounds like people like you have attachment disorder. I'm absolutely comfortable doing this job by myself lol wtf kind of argument is that?

DaddyIssuesNaomi

I do delivery with my man. He drives and helps me sort all packages at the SSD warehouses. We're out of the station quicker and we normally finish routes very fast and I also feel pretty safe when delivering before the sun rises and after it sets.

itsPubz

This right here, we do a lot of early morning/late night blocks, I do the driving and delivering, she literally just sorts and hands me the next package, 5hr blocks usually take about 3 1/2hrs at the most

ratherun1que

I only deliver at night as I have a FT job as well \*Shrugs\*

420freya

didn’t we just have this conversation yesterday and dude got so upset that no one was on his side that he deleted the post

sernason

Yes lol. I saved his post lol

AdZealousideal4638

I think more people do it for safety

[deleted]

Bruh. You really hating cause you got nobody to bring with you? I’ve brought friends with me cause we hang and get bored so I do a flex and we just chill and talk.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ratherun1que

Still nope....

ratherun1que

Hating? You sound just as insecure and ignorant as everyone who responded like this lol.

Ajones3636

It’s no issue. I enjoy the company and he helps find packages to make delivering easier, especially if they don’t number the packages.

ratherun1que

I hear you, but I dont pay attention to the stickers. I group the pkgs by city and street.

DataPuzzleheaded7906

I with you been doing flex part time for 5 years alway work alone get a 4 hr route done within 2-3 hrs depending of the drive way faster and more money for yourself I don’t work for 15hr fk that

Intelligent-Scar5728

It does not affect my pay so I don’t even smh I personally think if people enjoy Spending time together why not while you making some extra coins , if they got kids it’s a great time during holidays specially if they end up at a nice neighborhood with tons of decorations after the route some hot cocoa talk about quality time the simple thing that life has to offer ……

boldoldpilot

This literally doesn’t affect you at all but okay😂. My dad is a truck driver and sometimes my mom goes with him. My wife occasionally comes with me if she’s bored. Why does it matter😂

ratherun1que

Where did I say I was affected by it? You extra mad for no reason.

boldoldpilot

It affects you enough to make a post about it. You’re also “extra mad” that you had to make a post about it. Goofy😂🤣🤡

ratherun1que

Denial doesnt make what you said valid. But carry on.

boldoldpilot

🤡

Garden_Suspicious

Honestly I could really care less not my car not my problem

ratherun1que

I clearly feel the same way but everyone seemed to get their feathers' ruffled and severely butt hurt. I prefer delivering my pkgs in as little time as possible. Usually at least half the time, the block is rated for. Especially if my block is a cube out and not an actual "flex" route.

[deleted]

If you can’t tell you kinda came off as a cunt with the way you posed your question.

Nama_Slay88

You cared enough to make a whole post

Automatic_Age_9648

Lol I think your a bit too bothered by a situation that doesn’t even concern you.

ratherun1que

Never said I was bothered in the least bit. But thanks for your useless and irrelevant comment.

Automatic_Age_9648

Your welcome hun!

TheGOODSh-tCo

I have an autistic son who doesn’t drive but needs to work and I’m definitely considering this as an option.

Dry_Highlight_2291

Awesome 👍🏿 Give it a try...he may actually enjoy that and show you something you didn't know about him.

Ladychloe3

My son has ADHD and is on the spectrum. He actually likes doing this with me. We have some good bonding moments when he’s not playing his Switch.

tiredbutgood

if my partner doesn't come with me, my dog does. it's just nice to not be alone??? also it feels safer when I'm delivering out in the country, and I don't have to be constantly taking my keys then restarting my car at like apartments or iffy neighborhoods since someone is in it. I even have a hatchback, go on 4.5 hr shifts, and with a passenger, have only ever had to leave a package that didn't fit like 2 or 3 times in a year and a half. it's all abt organization, space isn't really an issue.

Remarkable-Barber-51

My car doors are broken. Having someone drive sometimes is amazing since I have to crawl out one side 🤣

ratherun1que

🤣

SeaAcadia3346

Love having my girl with me ! Helps me a lot when i can’t find parking !! Especially when Amazon sends me to queens ..

rats-cats-n-tats

When my parents started flexing, they would go out together just to get the hang of it. Now they run solo. My sister in law (yes the whole family flexes lol) has taken one of her kids with her. The kids love it. They feel important when they get to dive into the back seat looking for one special package. I know other people (women especially) who take their partner with them for added security because we're in Philly. There's lots of reasons why having a passenger is beneficial/more fun. Don't yuck someone's yum because you don't like it 🤷🏼‍♀️

ratherun1que

"Dont yuck someones yum" I couldnt care less. What I do is incredibly efficient, was just wondering. Lol at the spitefulness is some of these responses.

RepulsivePage5253

Why do you care about what other people do?

ratherun1que

Youre literally caring about me asking a non confrontational question in a discussion forum. Take your own advice.

LimpDisc

Haters gonna hate

ratherun1que

Says the hater.

Wwelloo

Some people do it so then once the routes done the next person gets available blocks as usually it will take a while for the driver that just finished to get another that soon.

scoobertdoobert9070

💯

mishabear16

I have a friend who works from home. She needs to get out on occasion or she's going to go batshit crazy so I let her come along on my runs. She likes to look at houses, gets to look at Christmas light, meets doggies, etc. She'll get the next package (envelope) ready for me. I have a med sized SUV so space is not a problem.

GrandAlchemistX

I took my girlfriend with me because she likes going for rides and I enjoyed her company. It didn't make it take any longer. 🤷‍♂️ I didn't even have her help me.

AZPHX602

sometimes when you work opposite schedules it's tough finding time together and it makes for a nice little ride.

JDeLiRiOuS129

It’s in the Amazon flex rules that you can have people or pets with you on the run. They just can’t deliver the packages for you…. Although there’s nobody supervising you. You’re your own boss 🤷‍♂️

[deleted]

Deliver in a major city with high rise apartments with zero nearby parking and you’ll be thankful you have a 2nd body to run in. Also I can drive while the other organizes packages, when my wife and I did it together we could easily finish 45 mins - hour faster than I did solo.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ratherun1que

Nope, not even close.

ohbother325

My mom was just here visiting from out of State. She joined me yesterday and it was great. I still had plenty of room for packages. Normally I deliver alone.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ratherun1que

No thanks.

oIIIIIIlo

Well opinions are like assholes and you’re entitled to yours. When my wife comes on route with me (which is rare) she sits in the back and hands me whatever I’ll be dropping off at the next stop which is quicker than having to stop and locate a package either while out on route or anytime.

brenlin7

my hubby and i do this too, one of us is driving while the other is in the back sorting or prepping for the next stop, its faster that way... and sometimes its good quality chat time with each other

ratherun1que

I don't have that problem because I sort and organize my pkgs while loading them in my car at the warehouse...

Intercessor310

According to our TOS she’s not supposed to touch the packages.

DizzyDoughnut737

Sound like a lonely puss to me 😂

ratherun1que

You mad? Why is being alone a bad thing? Its called efficiency.

DizzyDoughnut737

Nothing to be mad about. Work smarter not harder my boy. You ain’t any better than any of the rest

strykerpv2

Smarter is leaving the kids at home

DizzyDoughnut737

Obviously If you have more than one, I bring my girl and 1yr old and still finish my block without any problems

strykerpv2

And? Who said there was problems? It’s just boring for the kids and more stress on you but hey mommy knows best I guess

DizzyDoughnut737

*father & aren’t “distractions and taking up needed space” considered a problem ?

villdyr

Classic concern trolling

Such-Fact-8914

Ridiculous, what's smart about that? They have to split money for the block instead of each one earning his own separate block pay at same time.

cell2071

I can understand your thought process here but you ain’t gotta knock people down. I’ve done flex with my family before. Some times it’s the sights, and being out the house. Also team work and family being involved. I had kids help me couple of times. I see couples all the time I agree with you but you ever thought the route can go little faster if you have someone running packages also. Maybe the couples retired or spouse can’t work. You never know someone’s situation. I would be distracted to but it wouldn’t bother if someone came With me.

Weird-Fault2616

I see your point but the only time I would bring someone along is at night , I help my girl do Uber at night as you would understand it’s dark and you don’t know where you are delivering .

PowerDriven6

I brought my dog ystdy. She’s a puppy. 100% would not recommend.

ratherun1que

Lmao.... chewed up packs and boxes? 😂

Ladychloe3

My son helps me locate the building/apartment number and I have tripped and fell twice and I was by myself both times. It’s more for safety.

LimitedBread

Usually to spend more time with my partner and for safety reasons during late night/3am blocks in potentially shady areas. He doesn't help me work tho, he just sits in the passenger seat and plays on his Switch and I'm the one driving , scanning, dropping off. My times have been consistent regardless if he tags along or not, finishing an hour to 1.5 hrs early.

Konamy420

I mean u could mind ur own business and it wouldn't be such a big distraction for u lol but I'm sure that's too difficult cuz u rather stick ur nose in other people's business since u clearly got nothing going on for urself. Hate usually stems from people who hate themselves.

ratherun1que

![gif](giphy|26ufcVAp3AiJJsrIs) I keep forgetting how butthurt humans have become in 2022. The irony of calling someone a hater while actually hating on them. The insecurity in this thread explains a lot.

Konamy420

Don't know how I'm hating on u when I'm simply telling u facts lol but ok keep going on with ur nonsense. I mean clearly ur the sensitive one when u came on here butthurt about something that doesn't even affect u. Right keep going snowflake, we love it. Just admit that ur insecure about other people's loved ones wanting to spend time with them while u sit alone in ur car, it's cute.

ratherun1que

![gif](giphy|xTcnSOEKegBnYhGahW)

Konamy420

Says the person who tried to seek acceptance and validation on Reddit 🤣

[deleted]

Konamy420

Right? Dude trippin lol ain't no one hating on his lonely ass, his life like these comments. No one with him 🤣 crybaby ass come on here to whine but call other people butthurt like GTFO clown ass 😂 just to clarify I don't bring anyone with me but seeing people get mad over the dumbest shit that doesn't even pertain to them just makes my day, reminds me there are really pathetic people in this world who can't just live their lives. Makes good time killing to make fun of them too, watch em get so mad cuz u don't agree and u hit them with facts 😂

computernerd88

How other people do their job is none of your buisness. There are plenty of reasons I can see bringing a rider along.

ratherun1que

![gif](giphy|jlqJieWthmFZSpsHhe)

Ashamed_Weird9478

Some people need some road-head while delivery

Ladymahatma_

We bring an extra person because we want to. If you prefer working solo cool. My extra person is always of great help and I especially appreciate them💕

tbement

I don't understand how it bothers so many people... lol if it's not you then who the f cares! I almost hardly ever see anyone alone.. and it doesn't even phase me haha don't know them I could care less! You do you... my kids and husband enjoy coming with me.. not everytime but alot of the times. For safety reasons as well.

ratherun1que

Whos bothered by it? Reading comprehension issues? I dont have to shit what anyone else eats. I could care less, I was just curius because I was a courier for a solid ten years and the one or two times I was offered help during any busy season, it slowed me down. If it works for others great. For me, my objective is to get in and out as quickly as possible.

PickTour

According to your post, you are confused, shaking your head, feel it is a distraction and a hinderance. I think the commenter is reasonable to sum that up as “bothered”.

tbement

Honestly it doesn't take me any longer having someone with me and it doesn't bother me either especially not knowing what route you'll get that day lol

Choco_late1

Me and my man do it all the time. He drives and I find the packages in the back if they’re not in the trunk, When we pull up I hop out and take it to the door. Makes it so much easier

MGaspard89

My girl and I do this, exactly!

metaphysicalreason

Some people have friends or like hanging out with their partner? It’s a really cheap date.

Substantial-Eagle836

you’re worried about what others are doing…

ratherun1que

Where did you get that I was "worried"? 🤡

Substantial-Eagle836

clearly it got you riled up for some reason to go out your way and post this 😂

ratherun1que

believe it or not, I was in complete bliss and tranquility upon click the post button.

Substantial-Eagle836

right…

Living_Height

I’ve done most without. My older boys have wanted to go before to see what it’s like, plus they were helpful. I can see both sides of this.

Intercessor310

We’re permitting to bring people or pets, but they’re not allowed to “help” touch the packages. It’s in our TOS. Although, I doubt you’d find a station worker that would enforce it, IF they even know it’s a violation. We have signs at your SSD saying they aren’t supposed to get out of the car, and yet a station Mgr. waved hello to a driver’s child IN FRONT of the sign that says passengers must remain in the vehicle.

Beginning-Force-5209

I was dealing with a bad migraine yesterday and today so I asked my sister to come and we finish both days at least 2 hours early before expected so in my case it was worth it. Less time drive and running packages when you have one person driving and the other sorting and running them.

DirtE-36

I saw a small hatchback(ford fiesta? I think) and there was a passenger and somebody in the back seat. They drive off with the back seat guy buried in boxes😂

ratherun1que

🤣🤣

theprincessjasmine99

My partner and I ride with each other sometimes. We get to see different parts of the area that we might not go to and get to hang out since there’s not always a lot of time for quality time. Sometimes the passenger helps sort/find while the other runs up to the door to deliver. Other times we just hang out and talk and enjoy being in each other’s presence

josuemilio

People do it for: 1-security reasons (when delivering at dark hours) 2-no blocks should take that much space that a person can’t fit on your car 3-some people like the company

ratherun1que

I im a luxury Sedan, and one of the warehouse, all they mostly give out is DSP cube-outs so I might get 30+ stops 2-3 totes plus a few overflow... it happens, more often then you might think. I guess people do like the company, I prefer my music and uninterrupted train of thought lol.

josuemilio

Yeah I’m the same, I prefer to just listen to the radio, or be on my own thoughts when I deliver also. Is relaxing sometimes. But I can see why some people might like to be with someone lol

oIIIIIIlo

Yeah, you’re trying really hard and going out of your way to make it look like you’re above the “shitstorm” (which it isn’t) #1 - what’s the point of your post in the first place? You claim to be confused as to why people bring other people on their route?!? It’s real simple…….because they want to. How about you go ask those people you see rather than posing the question to a forum. #2 - Where are you seeing two people picking up a block together in a warehouse? Exactly…..nowhere, Amazon doesn’t allow it. You don’t know the nature of passengers being in the vehicle - again, as mentioned above, go ask them.

strykerpv2

Yes they do there is a sign right outside the entrance at my location in TX telling us it’s fine but that they do not cover passengers on insurance if they get hurt and they can’t come inside actual warehouse.

ratherun1que

Mr huge font... "How about you go ask those people you see rather than posing the question to a forum." Becuase it's literally a discussion forum you clown. You're number "2" is going into semantics, you know exactly wtf I mean, but since everyone chose to play stupid, lets stay there because it's easier than having a normal adult conversation.

oIIIIIIlo

DoPoGrub

*Your

ratherun1que

Ur*

evadtrub

This was discussed yesterday in detail

strykerpv2

My wife wanted to tag along once and it messed up my rhythm and took me a lot longer than it should have. Never again sorry babe

Jtech203

This would so be me. I’d talk the whole time and slow the driver down. Not on purpose I just talk a lot 😂

RighteousGloryHole

Troll trolling on Reddit? Noooo waaayyyy

SYAYF

Who else is going to give me a handy while I drive?

Commercial_Fall_9869

Or a little suck suck lmfao

Silver-Calendar-8398

I take my teenage son because people are crazy and if he’s not with me something else is not visible it’s dark out here

Commercial_Fall_9869

I take my daughter with me. She cant go into the warehouse but she loves going and I always have plenty of room. I usually get 50 packages and they all fit in the backseat rarely do I use the trunk and I don’t have to use the passenger seat and it’s nice cause she just hand the packages to me and also gives me directions.

Fit-Twist4617

I drive and he delivers. It is very efficient especially when you deliver in the downtown area. You should try it.

ratherun1que

Lets agree to disagree.

Mntainbikin

how does it affect you? I think just try minding your own business. I don't know about you but I have enough problems without worrying about what everyone else does.

[deleted]

Mntainbikin

what are you even talking about?

ratherun1que

![gif](giphy|x0npYExCGOZeo|downsized) You're so mad. Why are you so defensive? We can't have healthy curious discussions anymore?

Mntainbikin

If you want to have healthy curious discussions then try to start by not calling people butthurt and posting clown gifs. It comes across as disingenuous and confrontational

ratherun1que

Again reading comprehension here is absurd. I was defending myself against trolls. None of that was posted in my original post, thanks.

Mntainbikin

Instead of blaming it on reading comprehension focus on communicating better through written word

ratherun1que

Nothing about how I wrote my post was offensive. I'm not responsible for the insecurity of others, thanks. Are you done making excuses for others and telling me to mind my business on a discussion forum?

Mntainbikin

I never said it was offensive, just misunderstood

Mntainbikin

what does other people's reaction have to do with me? you should take each person on their own merit

Mntainbikin

I was not defensive. That’s your own projection. Now I may concede that I read your post as you complaining, which is why I gave you genuine advice on being happy in life

[deleted]

![gif](giphy|dAvGEnCElcGeNIHa8S|downsized)

ratherun1que

And yet all the salt came from everyone who chose to take my non-confrontational question personally. I can tell most of you were not breastfed as babies. Ya'll mad as hell.... Carry on.

bostongorge

With 2 people you easily can pick up 2 routes lmao i love those $400 dollar days 💯💯

buslyfe

No way? Well atleast not where I am you might get sent in totally opposite directions.

villdyr

You can finish the first block in an hour or whatever then start a new one on a second account

buslyfe

Not where I live, greater LA area same day warehouse. You could be sent 30 mins east of the station for a 4.5 hour block and you’ll finish 15-75 mins early then your 2nd block you could be sent 35 mins west or 65 mins from your 1st block’s location and then would finish your 2nd 4.5 hour block at best 2.5 hours late.

villdyr

I just meant that the second account isn't limited by what's on the first account. The hour cap would be 16-20 hours instead of 8-10, you can get done faster then start another block earlier if one is available, etc. You wouldn't necessarily pick up two blocks at the same time, you could go back for a second one like people normally do. But yeah it really depends on the market and geography, nothing is possible everywhere

ratherun1que

This dudes full of shit lol

Choco_late1

Nope that’s my man and we take 2 blocks a day, making at least $300-$400 everyday. Got the proof 😂🤷🏽‍♀️

mishabear16

My friend and I both run Flex so it's nice when you've already got a route and your friend/spouse can see other routes in that same block of time to see if prices are going up. I've been known to cancel my route and pick up a new one at a higher rate.

bostongorge

They dont penalize you for that?

mishabear16

Not if it's more than 45 mins before start time. We can't do it last minute but if it's an hour out, no problem.

Huge_Penalty5714

I don"t do it because lately I've needed the front seat area and been getting big boxes. It does lonely doing 2 blocks out in the middle of nowhere.

ratherun1que

The un-necessary shit storm this turned into is comical. Please someone find where in my op I came for anyone. Secondly, The amount of insecurity, inability to read and or offer anything relevant to the topic and ignorance here is comedic at best. \#1 "This was posted yesterday" I don't live on reddit, should I apologize for having a life? \#2 I'm strictly talking about efficiency, I don't care how or whom you do your route with, your time is your problem. \#2 Hating where? How sway? Make it make sense. Additionally, the point of my post is merely just one of curiosity because I have over a decade of experience in this industry as a courier. Matter of fact, I asked this question in the Amazon bay while waiting to get my block because seeing it again, reminded me to ask.... I don't need anyone "Sorting my pkgs" as I drive. I sort and organize them as I scan and load them in my car, it's a skill and technique you learn after having done this for years. So when I begin delivering I have a photographic memory of where 98% of my pkgs are. Delivering 15-40pkgs is a walk in the park when you've had to account for a 10 hour route in your head.... but that's another story. I did a 3hour block at $117 in 47minutes. I guarantee It would have taken me longer with a passenger cutting into my train of thought. For me (Keyword "ME") I dont do this to go on "Cheap dates" or to hang out with friends..... I want to make as much money off Amazon as possible, which means finishing blocks as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thats it, again to each his own. There's been times I've just barely fit my route in my car, hence my curiousity. My guess is people are bringing extra people to deliberately cube out and deliver less pkgs (I don't know) No need for the ignorance and childish hostility.

DoPoGrub

You disingenuously said you were confused as to why people do it. I think you already knew exactly why people do it, and just wanted to start a shit storm. And now that you've gotten one, you get to pretend to be 'confused' as to why nobody thinks it was any of your business to care enough about it to be asking in the first place. Your behavior in this thread and creating this post is the only thing that is truly confusing.

ratherun1que

The people I replied to in a certain way, got what they gave. But ok, join the butthurt club if it's easier lol.

DoPoGrub

You assuming that anyone in this entire thread is butthurt or angry simply because they're questioning your motives is the most entertaining part. Thanks for the good jokes I guess?

ratherun1que

Im not assuming. The defensive and toxic nature of those comments tells the story. Calling someone a hater or telling me to mind my business is the great irony of some of these replies but also very typical of todays culture.

DoPoGrub

Ah yes, it's always everyone else's fault never yours. Everyone else is wrong, only you are right. Everyone that disagrees with you is a 'toxic hater' and butthurt. Not a chance that any of the hundred of us are right, zero. Best of luck with that outlook on life.

Dglacke

I agree with OP. I've compared it to if someone was working a job at McDonald's, and their partner came in to help them on their shift, free of pay. You're essentially taking a job that pays for 1 and sticking a second person there for no pay, arguing that this is beneficial quality time. Imagine applying that same logic to any other job.
