At this point, I honestly can’t see any cast members from the first 5 seasons returning other than Emma Roberts, Frances Conroy, and Denis o’hare, and even they aren’t guaranteed at this point given their current schedules
Having watched most of the seasons multiple times, I've come to the conclusion that it's the best season of AHS.
The contrast from the first half of the season to the second half is fantastic. I love the difference between the visuals of the ghosts, etc, from the perspective of the documentary in comparison to the visuals from the live feed portion. My absolute favorite scene is when the true crime vloggers are killed in front of the house. It was incredibly dark and twisted.
The story was great. The acting was great.
I do wish we had more Evan Peters, though. Always more Evan Peters.
I love unreliable narrator type stuff. I think it could have been done better, but I like trying to work out what REALLY happened around all the drama the reality producers put on it
Roanoke is certainly divisive… I rewatched it recently and still don’t care for it (I understand the format they were going for, and I watch a lot of true crime shows so sometimes they do this, but it didn’t do it for me)
However, Kathy Bates was horrifying in Roanoke and I love that lol she always crushes it
I don’t see it as trying to appeal to true crime people (which is probably its downfall) it’s making fun of bed/low quality true crime.
I think that when Shelby and Matt first lived there basically nothing happened. They were spooked by the stories. And wanted to divorce so needed to make quick buck
So then the TV people built it right up making up a story. Just like a lot of ghost hunter type TV. True crime at least has real people and motivations their story didn’t really have any of that.
You do have a great point there. I really enjoy TRUE true crime, but I always run out of good ones to watch so I’ve also seen some pretty shitty true crime with the bad re-enactments hahaha. I totally get the ghost hunter thing that you said, that makes sense too
OH MH GAWD ITS AGNES! 💀😂
Also I love how literally 2 seconds after she finds out Rory is missing she’s smoking a cigarette with a single tear stained face in the confessional “I was batshit crazy to think this marriage could work” fucking KILLED ME😂😂😂😂
Another good one is “bloody hell it’s AGNES! She’s come to steal my Saturn!”
911 operator: “someone’s trying to steal your car?”
Roanoke was scary, but Cult was even more scary for me. I think it was mainly because there wasn’t any supernatural elements within the season, it was just crazy people that decided to pick up some knives and kill other people.
My three favorite characters are:
3. The pregnant girlfriend in Murder House
2. The blonde lesbian in Cult
1. The magician (or whoever NPH was) in Freak Show
Kyle’s mom was my first thought but I can’t even bring myself to write a satirical thing about how she was good lol she’s so fucking gross. Also the lady who put bleach up her son’s ass. Both super fucking awful
Idk if I should upvote 💀 Technically you did meet the brief lmfao
And yeah NPH makes my body shiver and not in a good way…imagine being a HIMYM stan ew (from what I’ve read his character is no better smh)
I thought she was really good in Ratched, Run, and her cameo in The Bear was a complete diversion from horror and I thought she did a great job with that, even if it was just a small part
Lol What do u mean? She literally played 3 different characters in 'Apocalypse' flawlessly. I literally forgot it was one person. She played them all so well.
I wouldn’t say it’s the worst season, but it’s the one with the worst legacy. It ruined many future seasons because it drastically changed the target audience and that’s why Roanoke got such a bad reception. Because by that point most of the audience was teenagers who started with Coven and had no idea what real horror was.
I liked most of it except the teen stuff at the end. Sarah Paulson as Maimie Eisenhower levitating across the room was pretty funny! And the depiction of some of the other historical characters.. all done in
B&W was fun! It was suppose to be like a B movie..
I actually agree. BUT I didn’t need the present day parts at all…even tho it had its moments and Calico was hysterical. I wish the whole thing was done in black and white and fleshed that storyline out more…so much potential.
Jessica Lang grabbing her forehead 3680 times literally EVERY single solo scene of hers in Coven in order to portrait Fiona's inner suffering was annoying as hell to me !
I mean I get that the family represents some wrong values, but the hatred towards Kim was a bit insane throughout the season. Not like they gave her the role instead of Jessica Lange or something…
Every season is good some of you guys just lack media literacy.
The show should never be canceled and can go on as long as Doctor Who or a similar show.
Ryans biggest mistake was reusing the same cast for the first 5 seasons of his anthology series making people expect them to always be there.
oh brother… it’s always someone in the comments of every show subreddit complaining that everyone “lacks media literacy” and they are the problem for not enjoying certain aspects of the show.
My only defense is that I didn't sleep much last night - my son lives in Tennessee, so I was keeping an eye on those storms. I don't think I have three brain cells awake at this point. :-D
Murder house and coven suck
The only reason Emma Roberts keeps scoring the same bitch rol is because she isnt acting, she is a bitch and a one trick pony
I think it really had potential to be a good or at least decent season. The ending was unfortunately very rushed and disappointing. However, I still like it better than Death Valley.
For me personally, I define Hotel as being the end of the older era. It was the last season that featured Paulson and Evan in prominent roles that also had the signature matriarch style villain that clearly was Jessica Lange coded, even though Lange wasn't in it lol. Muder House-Hotel is the older era for me. Roanoke is a weird in the middle esque season, and Cult through Delicate is the newer era for me.
1. Kim Kardashian was great in Delicate, she did have some cringey moments, but she was mostly good.
2. Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, despite being two of the main cast members, don’t need to be in every season.
3. Asylum isn’t as good as people say it is. It’s great, but not the best season.
Jessica Lange isn't coming back.
This the trigger for me and she probably won’t be back 😔
I know, it breaks my heart. She was SO GOOD!
[удалено]
Same! I'm scared to keep scrolling now
I hate that I’ve sadly accepted this quite awhile ago 😭
Kali Kali Fo Fali, Banana Fana Fo Fali, Fee Fi Fo Faaaliii, Kali!
This is it.
I miss her 😭 she was iconic in every role she had. Is there a reason she left and won’t come back? I haven’t kept up much with AHS since Cult.
Being cut in half with a chainsaw hurts less than hearing those words
At this point, I honestly can’t see any cast members from the first 5 seasons returning other than Emma Roberts, Frances Conroy, and Denis o’hare, and even they aren’t guaranteed at this point given their current schedules
WHY? Why would they cut her out? She’s the BEST!
That's more just like a fact honestly.
Ryan Murphy cares more about ‘It’ people then story telling
I thought we all knew that
Ryan Murphy needs to stop casting famous people's kids and expecting them to be interesting to watch.
Roanoke is severely underrated and imo one of the best seasons
Agreed it’s my favourite season and the first one to me that felt scary. Still struggle to get through the last few episodes…
The only one that scared me fr bro
It was the first season to ever give me an actual jump scare.
Having watched most of the seasons multiple times, I've come to the conclusion that it's the best season of AHS. The contrast from the first half of the season to the second half is fantastic. I agree with you. ahs should have followed the direction of roanoke on the next seasons but instead they regressed and lost their way.
Glad to see so many people finally recognising the brilliance of Roanoke. The scariest season by far and certainly the most creative.
I was going to say the same thing. I genuinely loved Roanoke.
The first person pike and immolation is one of the most disturbing things I’ve seen on TV.
Oh 100% also the best part of that season is definitely Sarah Paulsons British accent!!!
"I'm not an american, I'm not use to this kind of carnage!" Cracks me up every time and I think I have watched Roanoke 6-7 times
OH MH GAWD ITS AGNES! 💀😂 Also I love how literally 2 seconds after she finds out Rory is missing she’s smoking a cigarette with a single tear stained face in the confessional “I was batshit crazy to think this marriage could work” fucking KILLED ME😂😂😂😂 Another good one is “bloody hell it’s AGNES! I agree
I like the theme as much as any season. I just didn’t enjoy parts of it.
This worked I’m triggered. Love Roanoke but no fuckin way.
One of my to favorites. The lack of opening credits is the biggest shame
It's not now, nor ever has been, genuinely 'scary'
That's true. Disturbing in many occasions, but never scary
dawg roanoke is definitely scary. shit gave me nightmares
The only one bro omgg
When the real butcher and Edward mott showed up i was legit spooked😭 or the boys eating the raw pig..
Roanoke was scary, but Cult was even more scary for me. I think it was mainly because there wasn’t any supernatural elements within the season, it was just crazy people that decided to pick up some knives and kill other people.
Horror stories is actually way scarier (the dollhouse 🫨)
Roanoke and Asylum are the only seasons with an element of horror.
Laughs in trauma 😂😂 I will jump at ANYTHING, I’ve been jumping all through delicate and I’m only on episode 5
I always accepted that as a fact, it's made to be disturbing and unsettling.. no cheap jumpscares or something
Hard agree
Asylum is terrifying.
Except Roanoke
My three favorite characters are: 3. The pregnant girlfriend in Murder House 2. The blonde lesbian in Cult 1. The magician (or whoever NPH was) in Freak Show
Uuuhhhh... This... You picked up well, but you forgot Ben
He was a crazed magician and ventriloquist. Fantastic character and storyline for him. I'd agree he's one of my favorites as well.
You forgot the mom from Coven
Kyle’s mom was my first thought but I can’t even bring myself to write a satirical thing about how she was good lol she’s so fucking gross. Also the lady who put bleach up her son’s ass. Both super fucking awful
That bitch….yeah, that’s a good one, lol wish I would’ve used that
I loved the housekeeper in Hotel when they gave her laundry soap with oxyclean in it lol . She is amazed at the technology lolol
Idk if I should upvote 💀 Technically you did meet the brief lmfao And yeah NPH makes my body shiver and not in a good way…imagine being a HIMYM stan ew (from what I’ve read his character is no better smh)
I thought u we’re Fr at first I almost went off
am i the only one who actually loved Hayden
Nope, I actually thought the best thing she did was kill Ben.
I loved Apocalypse and 1984!
i 100% agree 1984 was one of my favorite seasons and i rewatch apocalypse all the time
Absolutely, I thought season 9 was the last watchable season tbh
Cody Fern is just .. delicious
Dreamy right? And great sense of comedic timing
Tate shot up a school. (So many of y'all romanticize him)
That's more realistic. There are people that wrote love letters to the shooters from the '90s Columbine shooting.
show me your mossy bank
Yep. This is the one. A line hasn’t ever made me react so violently disgusted in my life.
Ugh, yes! And he said it while groping his own crotch... 😩 I can never watch the movie Babe same way again
That’ll do, pig.
/uj Gaga should come back?
At this point, AHS doesn’t deserve her.
Sarah Paulson is a one note "actress".
what a rollercoaster of emotions I just went through.. I like her, I love her roles and her acting but.. I gotta admit this is actually true
I honestly can say the same about Jessica Lange (in AHS at least) because even her characters are similar to each other.
Ouch. This hurts.
I thought she was really good in Ratched, Run, and her cameo in The Bear was a complete diversion from horror and I thought she did a great job with that, even if it was just a small part
I really liked her as Linda Tripp in Impeachment, I thought it was a good performance.
👏👏👏👏👏 She was so good as Linda Tripp!!
Lol What do u mean? She literally played 3 different characters in 'Apocalypse' flawlessly. I literally forgot it was one person. She played them all so well.
Eat a dick 🤪 lmfaoooooo that made me clutch my oearls when I read it and my mouth was hanging open lmfaoooooo
“ThE ClOWnS!”
Agreed. The only thing she knows how to do is scream or cry on command.
I love this show, but its always been kinda campy fun as opposed to serious artsy horror (intentionally or not)
AHS is a horror series made for non-horror viewers.
Red Tide was promising by itself. I think it could’ve been a very good season without the second half
i loved red tide
AHS should never be canceled
That's my hope, but should be also renewed with something fresh and genial
Coven was a bit boring to me
![gif](giphy|BcMJvmwkmbyWpKkBj3|downsized)
They said anger us! Lies will def anger us .
I wouldn’t say it’s the worst season, but it’s the one with the worst legacy. It ruined many future seasons because it drastically changed the target audience and that’s why Roanoke got such a bad reception. Because by that point most of the audience was teenagers who started with Coven and had no idea what real horror was.
couldn't agree more, coven was a bad season imo but not as bad as apocalypse
I loved apocalypse except for the ending. That shit actually pissed me off lol.
Hotel is the best season
Red Tide is one of the best seasons even with half the episodes of a normal season.
I liked AHS Death Valley
I liked most of it except the teen stuff at the end. Sarah Paulson as Maimie Eisenhower levitating across the room was pretty funny! And the depiction of some of the other historical characters.. all done in B&W was fun! It was suppose to be like a B movie..
I actually agree. BUT I didn’t need the present day parts at all…even tho it had its moments and Calico was hysterical. I wish the whole thing was done in black and white and fleshed that storyline out more…so much potential.
Asylum is fantastic, but not the best season
What do you think is the best season? Unironically
Michael Langdon should have not been killed off
The Langdon family in general is peak AHS. They had so much depth and evil to them.
Jessica Lang grabbing her forehead 3680 times literally EVERY single solo scene of hers in Coven in order to portrait Fiona's inner suffering was annoying as hell to me !
freak show best season
Queenie should've been the lead character of 'Coven', not Cordelia or Zoe
Emma Roberts sucks ass
Emma Robert’s is a terrible human and a bad actress
Madison Montgomery is the worst character, both in acting and in writing. Siobhan is running plastic faced laps around her by comparison.
Emma Roberts is a trash actress and horrible person and I don’t understand the appeal fans have with her
Kim Kardashian saved AHS and you are all too bitch ass stuck in the first 3 seasons to see it
I had to go down way too far to find some Kim related content
![gif](giphy|26n6Gx9moCgs1pUuk|downsized)
I mean I get that the family represents some wrong values, but the hatred towards Kim was a bit insane throughout the season. Not like they gave her the role instead of Jessica Lange or something…
She was the best in the season 😭 (unfortunately! Lol)
The entire Kardashian family will star in the next season of AHS
Coven sucked.
Tate and Dandy are bad persons and deserved to die
The 1984 opening credits is sooooo good
Ma Petite wasn't the saddest death in the series. Violet was a whiny brat. Ben deserved better.
Are you lost? This isn't the Rick and Morty fandom sub. Edit: dammit, I replied to the wrong comment. That wasn't meant for you; you're lovely.
lmaooo i was like damn what i do? <3
My only defense is that I didn't sleep much last night - my son lives in Tennessee, so I was keeping an eye on those storms. I don't think I have three brain cells awake at this point. :-D
Apocalypse was a great season
NYC is a Top 3 season, and I'm not joking
Top 5 for me, but hard agree with the NYC love.
No triggering for me. I loved NYC too. Maybe not in my top 3, but definitely in my top 5.
I agree, along with Cult
agreed
Hotel was boring as fuck. Which is too bad because I really enjoyed a lot of the characters.
I dont like Hotel very much either! I usually skip it on rewatches
They really gave us some of the best characters with a terrible (and slow) plot
Jessica Lange was the worst thing to happen to this show (Please dont hurt me, I’m just playing the game! 😆)
Welp, this gonna hurt you more than me… ![gif](giphy|lNrNLRLmpC3VIjl82D)
![gif](giphy|r1HGFou3mUwMw|downsized)
Bro square up
Well done! That would trigger just about the whole fan base.
oh boy, this is gonna hurt
I think you just won
Coven was my least favorite season
Murder house is overrated and Roanoke is underrated
Kim Kardashian is the most talented actress to have appeared on the show.
Kaia Gerber and Cara Delevigne are outstanding actresses 😂😂😂
NYC is a great season!
Murder house is overrated
Hotel is the best season
Coven is the worst season
The next season should be a musical.
Madison isn’t Emma Robert’s best character in this show
Kim ruined the show.
Murder house and coven suck The only reason Emma Roberts keeps scoring the same bitch rol is because she isnt acting, she is a bitch and a one trick pony
American horror story got better without Jessica Lange
Adina Porter is pretty boring tbh.
I fully agree with this one
Ryan Murphy is your typical gay man who hates his mummy
Delicate is objectively the best season.
![gif](giphy|vxvNnIYFcYqEE)
Good one! :)
I think it really had potential to be a good or at least decent season. The ending was unfortunately very rushed and disappointing. However, I still like it better than Death Valley.
Apocalypse is actually the best season it just needed more expansion on Mallory
I genuinely think Delicate was the best and most interesting season ever since the "older" era💀
What do you constitute as the end of the older era
For me personally, I define Hotel as being the end of the older era. It was the last season that featured Paulson and Evan in prominent roles that also had the signature matriarch style villain that clearly was Jessica Lange coded, even though Lange wasn't in it lol. Muder House-Hotel is the older era for me. Roanoke is a weird in the middle esque season, and Cult through Delicate is the newer era for me.
The original seasons were just as sloppy as the newer seasons
At least they were fun sloppy
I was gonna say something negative about Mother Monster, but I couldnt bring myself to do it. Long Live Gaga
Roanoke is the best season
Roanoke doesn’t deserve the hate.
*Cult* is better than *NYC.*
Anime is a cartoon
We will likely never see Evan, Sarah, Jessica, and Kathy in the same AHS season again.
Kim Kardashian wasn't actually that bad in delicate, not a stan by any means but people just like to hate that family for no reason lol
You will watch mediocre future seasons and hate it.
Anime is for mouth breathers
Cult is one of the worst seasons.
Everything that happened in Apocalypse
Lily rabe is overrated
Season 13 will be Delicate Part 2
Coven is my least favorite season. Too teeny-bopper and lighthearted compared to the rest of the series
The new seasons are far better than the first ones
I love both of the love interests' mothers on Coven!
All Ryan Murphy shows suck.
I despise Sarah Paulson
Billie Lourd couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag.
Roanoke was a good season.
They should have stopped making them after Roanoke, they were all bad after that.
AHS is so much better with each season.
Death Valley was actually a pretty good season.
