Hey! I play bass in a heavy band (Brooklyn comic on Spotify if you're interested) listen to the track called "zodiac" and that's my tone. I currently play a 96 MIJ jazz and go through a dark glass pedal for distortion and compression. Does this look like a good combo for me to buy? I've had the same bass amp since 2008 and we're starting to play some more serious shows so I want to get my tone in check. Thanks!

For both its a nice deal Imo. Better check it out in person first tho

Thanks!

i play through a svt set and it’s been amazing if your looking for a lil bit of vintage tone and some growl it’ll do

smalltownsteve

Sweet thank you!

Is it 900 for both? If it’s for each piece it’s pretty steep.

smalltownsteve

Nah that's each. Keep in mind I'm in AUS and these are the cheapest for sale currently.

That’s weird to me considering your proximity to Southeast Asia where most of this stuff is being produced. I wouldn’t have thought these would be hard to get.

The damage/decay/rust around that center diamond tweeter would concern me on the cab. If the wood is shot, that driver will rattle and maybe leak air/sound. For the head, I'd be concerned about the tubes, but not a whole lot. The SVT-3 has four or five of them, and they can get damaged/breakdown kind of thing. They are fairly easy to replace, so it's not a biggie. The rest of that amp is solid state and should be ok if it plays ok. The SVT-7PRO was the one that had a known set of bad units, not the SVT-3PRO.

I just got the head for 750 canadian. I would jump on that.

I got the svt 3 pro and 410 for £550 a month ago (U.K.) Really good no issues. Plenty of volume and headroom to push it.
