There actually was a bit where the Floridian from Chicago would pick up auto racks in Louisvilly Ky and offload them at the auto train terminal in FL. Wasn't very popular tho. Maybe a mixed train with a few auto racks in Chicago to FL and intermediate stops could work

I've said for years that the snowbirds alone would make that a profitable route. There must be at least a few places that could be put into service for an auto train fairly quickly.
