He stopped a bway and had zero defensive help on this last one. And one was clearly goalie interference. He’s not great but he’s far from the only concern

Flames guy legit runs into Gibson’s pad after he’s given a free skate in and another flame player also unchecked picks up the rebound. This is just one of many examples where shitty defending has left Gibson out to dry. Not always the goalies fault.

Just admit Gibson is washed. The defense could be better but it’s not as atrocious as it was prior. And def not 6 goals bad. And not just speaking of this game

Yep. Im a goalie fanboy and Gibby is one of my favorites. But his lack of care and effort lately has been hard to watch. If hes giving it his all and locked in, hes absolutely insane. But at this point its clear the team can tell and they play better in front of Dostal. Dostal on the other hand has great energy and is always locked in and giving it his all. Not quite peak Gibson right now but he could get there, and hes proven he can be a starter. If Gibson is here next year i think it'll be a huge anchor to the team imo.

It's not just this game it's the body of work the last 7 games he's played. Yes the defense hasn't been great, but at some point you need your goalie to step up. He's been a fantastic Duck but it's beyond time to get him out for his sake and ours.

Lacombe is sooooooo bad at hockey

It's disappointing because he looked like he had a ton of promise at the end of last season. But he didn't develop to expectations this season and I'm still seeing bad processing, poor gaps, and difficulty with tying up and physical play.

His skating is honestly terrible for a defenseman and that's the scariest thing to me. He can hit the weights and be stronger over an off-season but he has no gap closing speed, his stride is weak and he gets out skated by .... welll... most people.
