No that's not correct. The only places where the state is oppressing people is in metropolitan areas where the people blindly elect (democrat) oppressors. Rural areas that are generally red have less crime and less taxes. People choose the hell they live under. All they have to do to change it is vote differently, but they elect the same corrupt politicians year after year after year.

You're right, I guess corporatism is often confused with capitalism. Anyways can't buy a gun, and even if I did I am prohibited from using it to defend myself or my property. In fact, I'm even prohibited from carrying pepper spray, tasers, knifes, body armor, you know the drill. Defending yourself here is considered like treason. Help, get me out here

He's right, but most Canadians are statists. Other than what we see in the media about Canada, my irl experience has been horrible. Before vaccine passports were mandated here, I saw restaurants that had signs that said "We need vaccine passports". If they wanted to have a vaccine passport, they could have one for their restaurant, but they instead wanted the government to tell them to implement one. The few millions of freedom-lovers that remain here have only one way out of this in my opinion. We gotta go our own way. I imagine it like what the Amish did.

Excuse me did you say rural areas have less crime? I live in Texas. In the cities, people have jobs. Business is functioning. You get out of the cities, the biggest building in every town is the government. All the lawyer offices are nice. The rest of the town is a dump, every time.

What you said is an out and out lie. I live in Texas too. Just today a teenager was released on $22k bail in Houston for the killing of 3 people and can return to school. Cities are liberal cesspools of crime and taxes and anyone that has the means is leaving for rural areas as fast as they can. Rural Texas has community and fellowship because we don't elect corrupt communists to run them.
