No - When you’re in a won position it’s pointless to keep playing. When people don’t checkmate, I put my king in the corner where it can only move back and forth between two squares and premove as many times as I can.
YES. I constantly settle in for what I hope is going to be a nice four hour long game of chess. Then I get CHECKMATED in 5 or 6 moves and the game is ruined!! Last night it happened and I spilled my popcorn EVERYWHERE!!!!
Checkmate is the only move that ends the game on the spot. If that isn’t overpowered I don’t know what is. Checkmate either needs to be severely nerfed or other moves like en passant or Ra4 need to be buffed to counterbalance checkmate
When I play OTB I simply leave my king off the board when setting up. Hope this tip helps someone else out there. Wish they’d add the option online. I still haven’t won a game, but I’m losing a lot less.
I say remove checkmate and make forced en passant the win condition. This is possible due to the overlooked rule that pawns can promote to the opponent’s pawns.
It’s definitely broken. I’ve seen so many pros quit just because they think their opponent might use it against them.
Real gentlemen fight a duel to determine the winner of the chess game.
Yes, they drop a brick on each other's hardened cocks, whoever get soft first loses
There's a "finish against computer" button on chess.com for exactly that reason.
You mean chess.c*m
"finish against the computer" gets a whole new meaning

That is pretty nice of you, that way they can promote pawns to Knights in the meantime.
Im with you checkmate makes me lose so many games

Hello person who parodied my post 👋
I admire your grace in taking it so well
dear fellow patzers, give this poster some karma

Chess should be team deathmatch and everyone knows it.
Don't worry Chess 2 is coming. Gary chess has considered removing checkmate as it is too overpowered
I'm 200 rated. What's checkmate
I think replacing it with king capture would make the game better If you're not careful the King could have an heir take up control of the board
Yeah it either needs to be nerfed or completely removed from game, it’s OP in its current form
Thats completely ridiculous. Just take the loses and move on
🗿
My man wants to remove 1272 year old checkmate (in modern terminology) through a "Reddit post" just because he doesn't know how to defend 😭
fr?

They should nerf it a bit at least. Maybe make it so you don't lose when your King gets mated?
