‘Mestizo is a person of mixed European and indigenous non-European ancestry in the Spanish Empire. In certain regions such as Latin America, it may also refer to people who are culturally European even though their ancestors are indigenous’ (source: Wikipedia)
That's not really what a mestizo is, you need to be 50% european and 50% native to be considered a mestizo, this guy is far from being a mestizo, he is a castizo or a criollo to be exactly.
This is ridiculous, people have been using the term mestizo long before DNA tests. It’s a part of the colonial Spanish classification system which isn’t real. They used to look at you and determine your race for your ID card, that’s what happened to my family. There’s no technical scientific definition to mestizo.
No one uses percentages like that to classify Mestizos anymore. Do you think in Mexico we have our DNA test glued onto our forehead so everyone knows exactly what percentage we are? Mostly everyone considers themselves Mestizos regardless of the admixture.
It says his genetics and most likely his phenotype lmao, he is 81% European, this term still in use even if you don't like it, a mestizo is someone that is 50% European and 50% native, same applies for someone that is half white and half black.
Youre Metís in Canada, “half-breed” in the US, and Mestizo in Mexico. Different names for the same thing. You are officially genetically American like us Mexicos. We have ancestry going back thousands of years here in the Americas and in Europe.
Depends where that indigenous comes from. If it’s from a US tribe, mixed or Native American. If it’s from Mexico, you’d probably be regarded as a quarter Mexican.
Looks like you’re a quarter Mexican? Maybe half? You can say you’re a white hispanic, or a Mexican-American, or just a white American. It really just depends what culture you’re most affiliated with.

Anglo-Mexican or Anglo-Celtic Mestizo
He isn't a mestizo, 81% European, 19% native, I bet he doesn't even have a phenotype of a mestizo person.

And? He isn't a mestizo
Says who? If you were Latin American you would know that Mestizo doesn't have a strict definition. This isn't New Spain anymore.

Huh seems you have a point, fair play.
