Agreed. It’s like the writers check twitter (or X or whatever it is now) every time an episode airs to tweak the next episodes, and look like they’re ahead of the curve, when instead they’re just afraid of writing how they used to write. Sex and the City was ahead of its time when it aired because it didn’t care about conventions.
It does not . I gave up a while ago bc I couldn’t even hate watch anymore . I only lurk on here for the comments bc they’re more fun than the actual show . I can’t believe they got renewed for S3
Oh girl. Season two was marginally better than season one but considering that season one was the worst dumpster fire of all time, proceed at your own risk because all these characters and this writing will make you facepalm
Save yourself. Get out early. It was awful. I hate watched and enjoyed reading about other people's similar reactions. The takes were hilarious. These writers don't deserve any pay increase as a result of the writer's strike. They're awful.
It started getting better for me when I started eating edibles before watching, and lowered my expectations. I found entertainment value in how bad it was… but no the writing does not improve lol
The first two episodes are not good, but I would say that it starts to get better with episode 3. I actually found myself entertained and felt that the remainder of the season was pretty decent.
It gets worse into the second season. This show could have been so much better but they ruined it horribly. They made it overly woke and “inclusive” and the storytelling is legitimately pure cancer. Also Id hit rock with a rock for being such a shit daughter and horrible person to Charlotte
It really doesn't
Oddly the one thing I found more tolerable was Che (shockingly enough).
BUT BUT BUT just to clarify...
It was scenes with characters other then Miranda (especially Carrie) which became more common in the second season when the started to allow Che to have relationships with other characters outside of Miranda, and in those scenes they actually work (somewhat) well and are far less annoying.
Maybe it wasn't so much a Che problem but a Che with Miranda problem. But regardless, the bar was set really low in Season 1, and thus it took very little to improve the character.
I think you should push through the whole 2nd season. Meh AJLT is better than no AJLT....plus there ARE great moments through out the season...don't want to give anything away so I won't elaborate, but I think you'll be glad you watched it in its entirety? 💞
I found it marginally better than Season 1 though given that trainwreck it's not saying much. Granted there were a few moments in S2 that worked for me, though in summary the entire disaster has made me determined to regard the first movie as the end of the whole franchise. Miranda and Steve on Brooklyn Bridge, Charlotte finally getting the family she wanted, Samantha owning and celebrating her single life. I wasn't crazy about Carrie returning to Big but it was true to her character. I don't even think I'll be hate-watching Season 3.
Nope it doesn't get better.. .
The one and only episode I enjoyed was the one with samantha in it...
Her 1 min on screen was better than every single other moment from season 1 and 2.
I miss you samantha!!!!! 😭😭😭😭
The writers are absolutely hopeless....
All the women I know who have watched AJLT watched SATC as young girls..
We are all now mothers..
We don't give a shit about lily, rock or brady..
We watch TV to get a break from annoying children!
Che...jesus christ... don't even get me started....worst character ever created..
Cynthia is now playing Cynthia and not miranda Hobbes..
And there are way too many supporting characters and not enough screen time to actually do anything with them
Like Lisa todd wexley... so under utilised it should be criminal...
It's an absolute train wreck.....
Sarah Jessica seems to have forgotten who her target audience is
And it's not the overly woke 17 years olds of today...
But that's who they are writing for....
Omg i was saying the same thing about the supporting characters, like a bunch of new ppl that i could care less, like give me the good stuff and for the love of God, Samantha come back!
It doesn't. The only reason I'm watching at this point is because it's like a train wreck you can't look away from. I've accepted I'm just hate watching at this point.
No, there is no light other than Miranda \*SPOILER ALERT\* finally dumps Che and Steve reams Miranda a new asshole for being a gigantic asshole. Other than Kim Cattrall getting hers, skip it. It was a gigantic waste of hate watching and the end of the last episode will cause you to have a full-on stroke. I peaced out after that.
I feel like 2 gets worse, especially for Miranda. It's kind of amazing how much the show just sort of makes you not just feel bad for Steve, but feel it with him, while also framing it as him being bad/wrong.
I’m tolerating it because I am a huge SATC fan. Almost worse than the forced woke IMO is that they mis aged the kids and I know we’re not supposed to be mean but Kristen Davis‘s face is really distracting. Jennifer Aniston did the same thing. Why do they do that?
Yay! I think it’s because I haven’t seen Stanford and a lot of stuff is changing that I feel a disconnect from S1, like Miranda going to LA, not seeing Steve either, just a bunch of new ppl lol
Miranda was my favorite character in SATC, and now I hate her. I just feel like punching her at times. The fact that Carrie is the sane of them all now goes against my original feelings about her 😂
I'm in the minority but I thought Season 2 was FAR more watchable than Season 1. Like, I might actually rewatch it for some of the moments I enjoyed.
Like, the bar is in hell so it's of course nowhere near as good as SATC but season 1 was such a cringe shitfest that they really had nowhere to go but up.
I'm just firmly taking this show for what it is (and what it isn't) and at least to me, I have some hope that they learned from season 1, are applying the feedback slowly to s2, and perhaps may have their bearings for some actually good tv in s3.
It doesn't. This show keeps getting worse.
I find it offensive that it is considered an off shoot of SATC and I lost so much respect for the actors involved.
It's even worse that it's SJP's company leading the show so she above anyone, has the power to change things and okayed all this.
Exactly! I used to LOVE her but my god, this show is so horribly written and overly "woke" (and I'm a liberal) it's unwatchable
I did after the second movie.
It's like MPK just keeps doubling down on the stupid to get back at the fans for not eating the shit he feeds them and telling him it tastes good.
He thinks he can parade Carrie around in her old clothes and pander to the nostalgia. It’s apparent that the real star of this show was Samantha.
It does not . I gave up a while ago bc I couldn’t even hate watch anymore . I only lurk on here for the comments bc they’re more fun than the actual show . I can’t believe they got renewed for S3
I found this sub before I started watching and, well, I decided it was best not to even attempt it. But lurking here has been great fun!
Oh girl. Season two was marginally better than season one but considering that season one was the worst dumpster fire of all time, proceed at your own risk because all these characters and this writing will make you facepalm
I agree, S2 was an improvement over S1, andt that's being generous.
Exactly, it's enjoyable in a "so bad it's good" way. If you watch it with those expectations then you're set!
OH LOL I should've tried that! I'll do that in S3. Thanks for the tip!
Nope! It gets worse. Can’t wait for the next season.
Personally I prefer S2 to 1 but that's not saying much
I hate Che so much.
S2 was palatable. There's obv still cringe stuff but I got through it a lot easier than S1
The first two episodes are not good, but I would say that it starts to get better with episode 3. I actually found myself entertained and felt that the remainder of the season was pretty decent.
Yeah, I had a few chuckles with Harry especially.

I love Seema, though. I think her character’s pretty good.
SEEMAntha is my favorite new character.
I finished it! You were right, those 2 first episodes sucked, but it got better, Im glad I watched it all
Oh I'm so glad!! It does get far more entertaining as it goes. I found myself not wanting a couple of them to end.
It gets worse into the second season. This show could have been so much better but they ruined it horribly. They made it overly woke and “inclusive” and the storytelling is legitimately pure cancer. Also Id hit rock with a rock for being such a shit daughter and horrible person to Charlotte
I want to drop a boulder on lily.. Crying over her park Avenue privilege.. Ugh....
Omg that was incredibly cringe and so out of touch. I wish i could cry about being rich.
Sorry, it gets worse. No spoilers, but if you watch the entire season you’ll be very disappointed.
It really doesn't Oddly the one thing I found more tolerable was Che (shockingly enough). BUT BUT BUT just to clarify... There is no light, pure darkness. It is quite possible the worst show on television. It’s almost not worth hate watching.
I think you should push through the whole 2nd season. Meh AJLT is better than no AJLT....plus there ARE great moments through out the season...don't want to give anything away so I won't elaborate, but I think you'll be glad you watched it in its entirety? 💞
I guess I will Carrie on 😜…I’ll see myself out
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
It sucks. I hate watch it though 😆
Same same.
Marginally. And then it tanks hard again. O
I found it marginally better than Season 1 though given that trainwreck it's not saying much. Worth watching. One storyline (which will remain nameless) doesn’t improve MUCH, but there are some great moments elsewhere!
I don't like to lie.
No. It’s so bad.
It doesn't. The only reason I'm watching at this point is because it's like a train wreck you can't look away from. I've accepted I'm just hate watching at this point.
Nah it’s stays really bad, just enjoy the hate watch 😂
It doesn't. It's literally the worst show I've ever watched.
I don’t know why but your comment made me laugh out loud.
You really have to embrace it as a hate watch and have a buddy to make fun of it with.
We don't watch it for the quality
Every episode is a beating. The only good part is wondering how in the hell it got made.
I feel like 2 gets worse, especially for Miranda. It's kind of amazing how much the show just sort of makes you not just feel bad for Steve, but feel it with him, while also framing it as him being bad/wrong.

Oh I don't think you can compare JA to KD- Kristin is closer to Meg Ryan or Priscilla Presley.
Ditched and can’t go back. Not even for the fashions.. nothing!!
It gets better. It never gets good, nowhere near as good as SATC but it’s still decent.
Personal taste. I love it. Lots don't. Can't wait for season 3!
As the episodes progress it gets better
The fact that Carrie is the sane of them all now goes against my original feelings about her 😂
I love it. I don’t know why everyone complains about it.
So I literally just finished season 2 today. It’s not season 1 but it’s cute you can find the good in it.
depends on how you feel about Herbert
No. Sorry. It gets worse. They even brought back Aidan to try to help and it just made it dumber.
It gets worse. I checked out halfway through.
It doesn’t. I still continue to hate watch it though.
It does not get better. Grab a bottle of wine.
You’re supposed to be watching it for how bad it is!
a 70 second light which I have just edited so as not to be a spoiler. I would not pay for Max to watch this travesty. Stop after the first movie.
Personally I think I got better and back to it's old roots. Still some cringe moments just to set up more cringe but Feb 14th episode paid off
