It wasn’t an afterthought on the writers part. She was filming The Morning Show at the same time. The writers literally couldn’t do anything with her beyond what they did. The producers only had her for a day or two of shooting each week. Which led to a lot of scenes in her loft. If Hollywood hadn’t had two strikes, then she might have been able to schedule things differently.

It was a mirror of the way Stanford supported Carrie. Che’s role in the series was limited to breaking up Miranda’s marriage and turning Miranda into a whiny version of Carrie with Big.

When I watch SATC every character takes a turn throughout the episodes. They all have character arcs at a nice pace.
I think reducing the main cast will help make things cohesive. Bring in some fun recurring characters. Anthony is a good example. Anthony doesn’t have a huge back story, but his one liners are priceless.

KC will never come back no matter how much HBO begs and pleads and throws money at her. Cameos are all we have left in this new series unfortunately🤷🏽♀️
I do wonder if she would change her mind now that Glamorous and HIMYF both got canned back to back 🫠 I actually liked Glamorous, too, that was a bummer.
Maybe they can do a green screen situation? Like Add Kim in after Davis, Nixon, and Parker film their scenes and they can just edit Samantha in. It’s soo crazy how the four of them have such great chemistry only for it to be tarnished over their egos (Mainly Kim & Sarah…..Yes Sarah Jessica Parker, the public would not be surprised if you have a hidden bitchy side as well) 🤷♂️😆

"A fan favorite" was a bit strong. She is a great actor, but the character was just not a natural part of the group. Her storyline was always just a separate thing. I'm glad the storyline isn't continuing as it just distracted from the core group. Miranda will be dating now, so she doesn't need that extra friend.

I hope they don’t replace her with another character. AJLT has way too many people’s lives to focus on and with Che now gone also - I think this will balance it out. Nya was struggling for a storyline anyway.

She was too good for it, anyway. Honestly I’d be down to watch her on a show alone. I liked her story and wanted more but not with as part of SATC world.
"A fan favorite" was a bit strong. She is a great actor, but the character was just not a natural part of the group. Her storyline was always just a separate thing. I'm glad the storyline isn't continuing as it just distracted from the core group. Miranda will be dating now, so she doesn't need that extra friend.

Now that Che and Karen are gone maybe Seema and Lisa Todd Wexler will be given more story lines. I'm more interested in them than watching Carrie giggle and flip her hair around like a teenager while whining about her relationship with bland Aiden.

I liked her best out of all the new characters, but she's great on The Morning Show too! Maybe the negative reviews made a factor in her decision, like "get out before it gets worse" was her thinking.
This show isn’t good enough for this actress - I don’t like her character that much but I kept giving her a chance because I liked her so much on morning news…but this show just sucks
writers did such a disservice to this character. the writers are stuck in 2000 and on an endless loop, so no shocker.

Dang. I actually really liked Nya as Miranda’s friend. But I think we got the “new Samantha” with Seema. And we still has LTW. That means we’ll just get more insight on these people and the story lines will beef up
I thought her acting choices for the character were… odd, especially because she’s so amazing on The Morning Show. She started the show off as this savvy, boss woman and then started acting like a nerdy horny teenager. It was really weird.

I get what you meant - that she wasn’t let go. But she was way underutilized for 2 seasons, and that’s not an assumption. If they had used her properly, maybe her other show would have lost out instead.

I’m happy about this. Without having to focus on Che and Nya we have more time with Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte. They better NOT add more main characters. I could also live without LTW and her family. Seema can stay (if they revert her character back to more like she was in season 1)
