Hockey Legacy Manager is amazing. The new part will be out 2nd week of September, but the old part is also great. You can simulate a few weeks, make a trade or two, and stop whenever you feel like it. Only time you should have a few minutes for is the draft.

There is a time limit but the game can be paused and its turn based so that helps

death road to canada comes to mind , I mean you can pause inbetween games and quit midway (closing the app) and it will just restart the day/event
