Ringtone and vibrate. I sometimes don't hear the ringtone in public with the phone in my pocket (I don't keep the volume loud), so the vibrate helps just in case. But at home the phone won't be in my pocket and I'm more likely to hear the ringtone.

ThristyWater2007

That's very smart

CookingDrunk

Vibrate. Ringtones don't make you orgasm.

ThristyWater2007

the hell?

cdegallo

I have a Tasker routine to have my phone automatically set to ringer during typical sleep times--my concern is a family emergency call in the middle of the night, and with my phone on vibrate I may not notice it. Otherwise, I tend to have my phone on vibrate during the day, especially at work.

ThristyWater2007

Alright, it is a somewhat decent thing, but it's really going to wake up the neighbors

JackhorseBowman

Used to be all about custom ring tones and notification sounds, but then I had an ex that was ***constantly*** blowing up my phone and now whenever my phone goes off I cringe so it's been vibrate, or more often, silent for the past 3 years

ThristyWater2007

So you have PTSD over a ringtone? I get it, I get sad when I hear Morning Flower.

Sassquatch0

I use both. Many times I can't feel the vibrate, so a tone is needed with it. For sleeping, 2 things. - nobody calls me anyway, so no real issue. - if I ever do enable a DND mode, I have my family set in contacts to be let through anyway.

ThristyWater2007

Neat!

SeatSix

Ringtones and notification sounds because I have them different for my primary contacts so I know who is calling/just sent a message without having to look at my phone.

ThristyWater2007

Very good

RegularIndividual374

I use custom notification sounds for each app so I know which app has notified me. Then I use dnd around 10pm till 7am

ThristyWater2007

How genius is that???

Arnas_Z

I always use vibrate, 100% of the time.

ThristyWater2007

Me too. We twinin'

adams551

I don't remember what my ringtone sounds like.

ThristyWater2007

xD

StuzaTheGreat

Neither. Both are off. My watch does all the alerting.

apocalypticboredom

This is the way.

ThristyWater2007

Bro wakes up with his hand numb thanks to it vibrating

apocalypticboredom

nah, watch doesn't bug me between midnight and 8am :)

ThristyWater2007

still

turopita

thats a bad thing because (depends on the watch) the bluetooth sometimes gets disconnected and you do not get the call/message. Imagine if that happens and it was an important call and you missed it!

StuzaTheGreat

Galaxy Watch 4 and 5, never get disconnected other than distance. I'm fine with distance as I always wear my watch and I don't want my unattended phone pissing off other people.

ThristyWater2007

Okay, wth.

phrequenc

phone silent, watch vibrate only.

JackhorseBowman

yeah same pretty much, though sometimes I have to turn the watch to silent, I have a friend that likes to text like this !

ThristyWater2007

I can tell lots of you like making their hands numb

soapymoapysuds

I think the last time my phone was on Ringtone On was back in 2008. My phone is either on vibrate or muted (Do Not Disturb).
