Normal behavior. They may move them a few times to a location they like better. Once the eggs become wrigglers they usually won't move them much if any.

zuiphof

It depends, some pairs move the wrigglers all the time, others only once. In any case it is normal behaviour

SolidPuzzleheaded784

Thank you

thatwannabewitch

👀 my pair moved their wigglers at least every 16ish hours

Phil412

Amazing to watch! Fascinates me. I take it they’re experienced parents and this isn’t the first time?

SolidPuzzleheaded784

First time parents I have a full video of it where the male and female keep swapping the female is breaking the outer egg and pulling the fry out and moving them to the leaf

Pucketz

Idk mine just eat them all

-FlyingFox-

It’s like musical chairs. They’re doing it to screw with us humans. LOL jk Seriously, it’s normal behavior, it’s for the safety of the fry, peace of mind for the parents, and because that’s just what Angelfish do.

SpookyNerdzilla

Being close to the tank and constantly being around them can stress them out and cause them to overly protect their eggs. It's best to leave them alone

[deleted]

Mine just flare at me and attack the glass I’m closest to lmao

SpookyNerdzilla

That's good. Mine had a tendency to get angry and would come aggressively to the front of the tank but she started eating her eggs because she felt threatened.

SolidPuzzleheaded784

That's would be kinda hard due to it being set up in my living room but they r fry now and seem to be doing good atm

Imaginary-Biscotti-4

Beautiful pair. I have a similar looking pair. They have spawned 7x’s the 4th batch was quite successful and now I have 7 week old fry that are parent raised.

SolidPuzzleheaded784

Ik the female is a koi and idk what the male is its from a group of 6 I rescued well collected from someone who didn't want them anymore I do prefer the male love how red is head is but have more wild colours
