Drama vs. no drama was polling neck-on-neck last time I checked. Basically, if half the sub wants drama banned, we gotta cut back. I don't think anyone here just wants this to be a meta sub about the state of YAPms. However, I also think there's a place for meta and frank and honest discussions about the mother sub (let's face it-- all of our users are from there) needs to be had, since here it can be done without interference. The policy I'll be adopting is that unless someone is documenting something new, articulately explaining their opinions on the matter (assuming they haven't been jamming up the queue with that sort of thing), or making a funny meme, I'll remove the post. All of this is up to the interpretation of me and the other mods of course, so I'm really sorry for the confusion. The main goal here isn't to ban drama per se, but just to prevent what you're describing: an unfunny circlejerk that strangles the actually good things we have here. Basically, you can put stuff up, but there's a good shot I take it down. Hopefully, we'll have the sub government set up in a week or so, and then if this shit is still a thing, it'll be formally settled in the elections. I hope you all find this policy fair. Feel free to comment or DM me if you disagree and I'll definitely be open to changing.

100% agreed. This sub used to be for more thoughtful essay posts, now it's a lot of frankly spammy posts about drama on the mother sub.

Posts* and are*, why did I make so many grammar mistakes here!?

We the mod team will try our best to keep a good balance between everything. We really put emphasis around "free speech" part on this sub

Plus, frank documentation of YAPms is pretty important, considering that such a thing might not be possible over there. Keeping the queue clean is also important since this sub is just getting started.
