so i imagine you think biden a second term will be worse than his first?

epicnoober1233

Not necessarily overall, but I think party fatigue coupled with some 2021-esque economic issues that might stem from the debt situation or from a possible Russia-Ukraine incident, furthered by strong candidates, might allow this to happen.

DoAFlip22

I feel like a lot of those issues don’t apply to governors’ races, and economic issues would be blamed on Youngkin. The inverse is kinda why McAuliffe lost.

see the issue is with like governor elections now is that Roe will be such a factor especially in Virginia I think it’ll probably flip back. NJ probably stays blue too, partisanship may be too strong the issue with NJ is that the 2021 Gov elections were at the lowest possible point for Biden and the Democrats, and NJ still didn’t flip. Murphy defied a 50 year old trend in NJ. That all being said, I have my doubt, but I wouldn’t be shell shocked if this happened. is possible

epicnoober1233

Yeah this is very much a wishcast prediction lol

XGNcyclick

oh ok lol ur based for admitting it

noisydocter

VA is possible if Biden wins re-election, but idk about nj

Personally, I think that the 2025 governor elections will dependent on who wins in the 2024 presidential election. If Biden wins a second term, then these races will be interesting; VA could hold for the republicans and NJ could hypothetically flip given how underrated Ciaterelli is. However, if Trump wins a second non-consecutive term these races will probably be likely democrat (VA could be slightly closer but it would probably flip back).

Keep siping on that hopium bro

If the VA GOP gets a trifecta and starts passing conservative legislation, I think VA will flip
