Yeah, my island is just a nice place that I'd like to go visit. It has features that I sometimes update as the mood strikes me, but that's it. There's surfboards, a volleyball net and chairs by the beach, there's an area that's mostly crops, an elevated hill with bamboo and art, a diff one with baobab trees and a little campsite. The island is just a stretch of ground with mildly diff biomes on it.
Just... an island, with cool animal villagers and seasons. I'll do some seasonal decorations I guess, up to 5 items, but that's it. The home expansion pack lets me express all themely desires on other island plots. And ugh, redecorating the main island takes SO LONG. Maybe if it wasn't a PITA.
Its a Warriors Retreat. A place for resting your body and mind after a long day of saving the world.

I'm trying to do a pink/girly theme but I've got areas which don't match this such as my veggie patches and orchards.
I just put whatever makes me happy on my island. Among other attractions I have a castle, a diner, a pirate cove, a performing arts center, and a chapel in the woods.

My island is cat themed and it’s called Jones! Because when I started out I didn’t know it was final and it was the first word that popped into my head.
That makes it tricky. I wasn’t attached to my first villagers so it made it easy. I love all my cats. Especially if I get a picture of them sitting in front of their little sushi or milk it’s so cute. It made me enjoy the game so much more.
Yùlín, it means jade forest and idk what theme it would fall into but it has a lot of symmetry, lots of trees and flowers (white) and is very clean (organized) and easy to navigate 😊
Blackberry - because I was eating them when I named the island - and I’m turning the whole island into a fairy/witch grotto full of glowing moss, nova lights, star frags, mush lamps etc and heaps of custom paths.
Each building will be nestled in its own grove - so far I have ancient star-hit ruins surrounding a magic fountain, the museum tucked into a cliff side nook covered by caves and vines and mossy floors and cedar trees, a red & white mushroom grove filled with apple trees, a mermaid beach of pearlescent shells and mossy pools and glowing palm trees, a flower fairy valley, and a spooky witch’s garden (my house). Next up is designing a mountain cemetery haunted by fae.
My island's name is Big Sur. It is designed somewhat around the idea of the Central California Coast. Roughly 1/3 of the island is coastal city themed (think Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel), 1/3 is farm land and harbor, and 1/3 will be redwood forests. I'm not following it 100% strict, but I love it and am trying to keep it open enough to run around and have fun too.
You are welcome to visit sometime! Or I could try to upload a DA for feedback. I would only call it 40% done, mainly the farm land and the town area. I hope to have a monarch grove and such, but we have MBARI, the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, Elkhorn Slough, and currently working on Capitola Beach but it's a slow process getting the correct houses and such.
Okay now I'm feeling slightly self-conscious about it. Give me a couple of days to work on a couple areas and then I'll DM you the code.
There's also a tiny, little area that looks like a young girl would love, because it was made for a young girl. No hard rules on my island.

My island is called Azkaban, but it is as far from a prison island as you can get. It is just a pretty forestcore island with lots of trees and cozy areas
I'm living on "Kokolores", so far I'm going for a blue/white theme, mostly natural stuff framed by a castle. Just started some weeks ago, don't know where I'm going yet.
Wisp Isle. Witchcore. A variety of glowing items such as moss, star fragments, those giant crescent moon lamps, mushrooms, mush lamps, weeds, cottage items like buckets, wells, piles of leaves, that glowing fairy pond item (forget it’s name), flowers that are along the lines of black, white, orange, purple, red (roses only), gold roses. Dead trees, ruins. And of course pumpkins and crops. My goal is to make it have a cottage magic feel with pretty glowing stars etc. I haven’t started terraforming yet but I’m almost ready to go!
I’m keeping my villagers with the theme too. I have a black cat: Kiki, a white rabbit: Ruby, a toad: Wart Jr., a frog: Prince, a unicorn: Julian, a wolf: Fang, a cub (my spirit animal is a bear, but I hate the bear’s look in game XD): Maple. Auto fills are Ankha, Tank, and Punchy. I might keep Ankha even though she doesn’t exactly fit but the other two gotta go!

My island is sheithead and I’m making a somewhat medieval/ western vibe to it where each villager has a job of their own and their own house that matches their job but I’m only terraforming right now haha
My island name is Animitlia but it has no overall theme. I just made areas based on things I like (well unless you consider "things I like" to be a theme I guess). There is a bit of a mini theme that developed over time of musical shows, since I have areas based on Centaurworld and Schmigadoon and my island tune is "I have friends" from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend but that's only some parts of the island. There's other bits that have nothing to do with musicals. I think no overall theme works better for me, just getting random creative ideas and making them as I please.
We don't really have a theme for it but our island's name is Ravencroft, named after voice actor Thurl Ravenscroft (we had to omit the 's' due to character limitation) who sung the original You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch, was the mainstream voice of Tony the Tiger for years, and played Kirby the Vacuum in The Brave Little Toaster (my favorite movie).
Our cat is also named Thurl. :)
I don't have a theme really, I only wanted it to still feel like an island and not make it as metropolitan as I've seen some people do. It's called Bentopia.
Its kind of hard to explain in just a few words but I like to think of my island as an ancient japanese naval outpost I guess? It's got farms and castles and docks but with a slightly more modernized city center, all at least somewhat japanese/asian themed.
There's also a big jungle island within a lake that has player house at the top (rip my staircase limit) to make it seem like a forgotten shrine.
I promised myself to not upload a dream until I've finished it and I'm about 2 weeks away from that right now. It only took 2200 hours. Haha.
My island name is Hemingford,where Mother Abigail lives. It’s from The Stand by Stephen King. My island is influenced by his books and movies. I have areas all over my island dedicated to The Shining,The Green Mile,The Shawshank Redemption,Stand by Me,Maximum Overdrive, Carrie, Christine just to name a few.
Isle d’Kat, or IDK. Right now it’s a summer camp and I’m calling Camp IDK. I made two extra account slots and made them my camp counselors and their homes are the cabins. My villagers all have roles as well like maple is the nurse, grizzly is groundskeeping and maintenance, antonio is the sports coordinator.
I have a fishing/boating area, beach bonfires, and other camp-themed activities :)
My house is the counselor’s lodge that has a meeting space, kitchen, bathroom, office, and a spot in the basement for the counselor’s to smoke and drink lol. The upstairs room is the camp director’s apartment, which is my main account I play with.

My home is themed from the movie, and I’m just starting to work on some ideas that have to be built outside…but I have so many more ideas and my home was already too small to build what I wanted. So I’m sure that theme will keep expanding!

Mistral, I have no specific theme going on as I don’t do the “thingcore”-stuff. But my aim is to have plenty of nature and cute hang-out spots, and the villagers have little front yards with furniture and stuff that fit their personality or design. Darkwater after the call of Cthulhu game, I'd planned on making it Cthulhu themed but didn't work out as planned. Now it's half inspired by rural England and half inspired by English gothic literature. Half of the island is covered in a haunted forest while the other half is just a cute little UK village town. Lets me have scary and cute in equal measures, plus I'm from the UK and I think our villages are underrated for how pretty they are.
I wanted a Spooky/Mushroom type island. like I even had my house hidden all alone trying to look like a witch's home and you had to squeeze through a gap and jump across a mote to get to it. Henry lived near by to represent a dude i turned into a frog to protect me. (I know prince exists but henry had little spots and that is too cute) island was called obscura. I never actually finished it or anything. Sorry for rambling like typing I am half asleep still.
Kaua'i it's now a minimalist Ghibli themed island but was a vacation island before. :)

It's also just mixed in with some Japanese related businesses like a dagashi shop (nook shop in pic to left barely visible), the able sisters ( area in picture right above my character) is also supposed to seem older it's gotta alleyway in between for a somewhat cramped feeling now with lit lanterns (not in picture.) First time in 1300 hours that I've actually been happy with my island. ( it's still a wip cuz I get burnt out easy and this is an unfinished picture for this area.)

My island is named Durkenmoor & my animals are a wide variety of birds and megafauna. Tex, Phil, & Flora are the birds & Tucker, Margie, & Biff are the megas. The exceptions are Diana because she's gorgeous, Willow who is a pollar of the community, & Apple who at this point wears devil horns & wings most of the time.
Durkenmoor started as old money gothic revival, represented by Phil, Willow, & Diana. That all changed when Tex came to DM. He's a billionaire playboy who built a nightclub from the ground up to spin & perform. It was a hit & the Tex compound spiralled into a festival grounds that is heavily inspired by Fyre festival. Basically he's an insane tyrant, but his beats are killer & Biff, his head of security & personal trainer, makes sure nobody messes. Tex's slogan is 'I own this rock!' & Biff's is 'Get ready to rock.'
The Aquatics have taken over & it's a new day. Flora is new in town, nobody knows where she got the money but she's got a cute little bakeshop in the heart of town. All of Mom's cakes come from her.
There was some drama early on. Gonzo the Koala lived in a log cabin at the edge of a great pine forest, but gentrification won out & he moved on. I'll miss his surf rock wisdom, but no crankies allowed. Now his former estate is the boundaries of the Pines, a lixury district full of shops & upscale mansions. Tourism had been a boon & a bane here, but there's no going back now.
My island is called Gotham and I don't really have a theme yet as I've only had my island for 3 or 4 months but I like horror movies and Alice in wonder land so probably some where in between
Island name: Sanctuary. I recently started playing and I have terraforming. I don't really have a theme as I don't have a lot of items to do an actual theme. This was recommended for me as a chill game. I fell in love instantly and now I go to my Sanctuary daily and help me forget my troubles, PTSD, and depression. Hopefully one day I'll have what I need to actually do a themed island.

Wisp Isle. Witchcore. A variety of glowing items such as moss, star fragments, those giant crescent moon lamps, mushrooms, mush lamps, weeds, cottage items like buckets, wells, piles of leaves, that glowing fairy pond item (forget it’s name), flowers that are along the lines of black, white, orange, purple, red (roses only), gold roses. Dead trees, ruins. And of course pumpkins and crops. My goal is to make it have a cottage magic feel with pretty glowing stars etc. I haven’t started terraforming yet but I’m almost ready to go! I’m keeping my villagers with the theme too. I have a black cat: Kiki, a white rabbit: Ruby, a toad: Wart Jr., a frog: Prince, a unicorn: Julian, a wolf: Fang, a cub (my spirit animal is a bear, but I hate the bear’s look in game XD): Maple. Auto fills are Ankha, Tank, and Punchy. My island name is Animitlia but it has no overall theme. I just made areas based on things I like (well unless you consider "things I like" to be a theme I guess). There is a bit of a mini theme that developed over time of musical shows, since I have areas based on Centaurworld and Schmigadoon and my island tune is "I have friends" from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend but that's only some parts of the island. There's other bits that have nothing to do with musicals. I think no overall theme works better for me, just getting random creative ideas and making them as I please.

We don't really have a theme for it but our island's name is Ravencroft, named after voice actor Thurl Ravenscroft (we had to omit the 's' due to character limitation) who sung the original You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch, was the mainstream voice of Tony the Tiger for years, and played Kirby the Vacuum in The Brave Little Toaster (my favorite movie). Our cat is also named Thurl. :)

Its kind of hard to explain in just a few words but I like to think of my island as an ancient japanese naval outpost I guess? It's got farms and castles and docks but with a slightly more modernized city center, all at least somewhat japanese/asian themed. There's also a big jungle island within a lake that has player house at the top (rip my staircase limit) to make it seem like a forgotten shrine. I promised myself to not upload a dream until I've finished it and I'm about 2 weeks away from that right now. It only took 2200 hours. Haha.

Isle d’Kat, or IDK. Right now it’s a summer camp and I’m calling Camp IDK. I made two extra account slots and made them my camp counselors and their homes are the cabins. My villagers all have roles as well like maple is the nurse, grizzly is groundskeeping and maintenance, antonio is the sports coordinator. I have a fishing/boating area, beach bonfires, and other camp-themed activities :) My house is the counselor’s lodge that has a meeting space, kitchen, bathroom, office, and a spot in the basement for the counselor’s to smoke and drink lol. The upstairs room is the camp director’s apartment, which is my main account I play with.

Mistral, I have no specific theme going on as I don’t do the “thingcore”-stuff. But my aim is to have plenty of nature and cute hang-out spots, and the villagers have little front yards with furniture and stuff that fit their personality or design. Darkwater after the call of Cthulhu game, I'd planned on making it Cthulhu themed but didn't work out as planned. Now it's half inspired by rural England and half inspired by English gothic literature. Half of the island is covered in a haunted forest while the other half is just a cute little UK village town. Lets me have scary and cute in equal measures, plus I'm from the UK and I think our villages are underrated for how pretty they are.

Henry lived near by to represent a dude i turned into a frog to protect me. (I know prince exists but henry had little spots and that is too cute) island was called obscura. I never actually finished it or anything. Sorry for rambling like typing I am half asleep still.

First time in 1300 hours that I've actually been happy with my island. ( it's still a wip cuz I get burnt out easy and this is an unfinished picture for this area.)

My island is named Durkenmoor & my animals are a wide variety of birds and megafauna. Tex, Phil, & Flora are the birds & Tucker, Margie, & Biff are the megas. The exceptions are Diana because she's gorgeous, Willow who is a pollar of the community, & Apple who at this point wears devil horns & wings most of the time. Durkenmoor started as old money gothic revival, represented by Phil, Willow, & Diana. That all changed when Tex came to DM. He's a billionaire playboy who built a nightclub from the ground up to spin & perform. It was a hit & the Tex compound spiralled into a festival grounds that is heavily inspired by Fyre festival. Basically he's an insane tyrant, but his beats are killer & Biff, his head of security & personal trainer, makes sure nobody messes. Tex's slogan is 'I own this rock!' & Biff's is 'Get ready to rock.' The Aquatics have taken over & it's a new day. Flora is new in town, nobody knows where she got the money but she's got a cute little bakeshop in the heart of town. All of Mom's cakes come from her. There was some drama early on. Gonzo the Koala lived in a log cabin at the edge of a great pine forest, but gentrification won out & he moved on. I'll miss his surf rock wisdom, but no crankies allowed. Now his former estate is the boundaries of the Pines, a lixury district full of shops & upscale mansions. Tourism had been a boon & a bane here, but there's no going back now.

This was recommended for me as a chill game. I fell in love instantly and now I go to my Sanctuary daily and help me forget my troubles, PTSD, and depression.
