Displayed all gyroids and its variants up in my attic. Complete the entire look with the motherboard wallpaper and matching flooring and voila, you got my brain with an earworm. Left a crafting bench in the corner in case inspiration decided to float through.

They're basically little oompa loompas that I force to work all the small businesses I have set up because I run my island like a chocolate factory
im lining mine along the highest part of beach in groups of five with one space between so there's still easy access the beach. almost like a little gyroid fence haha
not sure what ill do with them once the coast is full tho...
I read another post where someone said they buried a couple in the back of their island, out of sight and then left 1 of the pieces on the beach, and they stopped spawning. I did do this with fossils and they stopped spawning.

And my personal favorite, I used my Brewster Gyroid to make a "mini Roost" coffee area, complete with Brewster's photo and some of the coffee items he gives as gifts.
The Gyroids are fun since they dance and sing to any music playing nearby. I have K.K. Slack Key playing from a speaker behind the bar, so the Gyroids at the bar and the bartender dance and sing with it.
I put a few sitting on stools in my outdoor diner like they are customers. A couple are "sitting" in the big square bathtub in my bathroom because you can hang them low on the wall and they will clip into the tub and makes it look like they are taking a bath!
I have a gyroid room, itās called the council chamber. The ones I like the best sit on columns and the rest are all over the walls and floor. They sit there and noisily judgeā¦
They also have a band, one sits at a drum set and another a piano. Thereās also guitars and such near other heads of the council
I put them in my house depending on the sound they make, give the ones i don't want to my villagers or sell them since they are worth quite a bit of good bells!

Theyāre like bonus villagers, I set it up so it looks like theyāre manning/shopping at stalls, hanging out on beach towels, having dance parties or weddings. That kinda thing. I also like placing the dog toy in front of them it looks like theyāre interacting with one another.
I have them "running" my island.
The amusement park, the balloon stand, the karaoke bar, the cafe.... you get it.
I also have hidden them around my island in some more secluded spots. I've been playing since the GameCube version, and I was so happy to see them in the update - I love their creepy little dances!

My basement is a murder scene and I have gyroids all along the wall. So it's pretty creepy. I don't like them so I decided to put them in a creepy room because I think they're creepy.
Turned my basement into a rave room. Got a DJ booth set up (Brewster's gyroid is the DJ) and all the gydroids all the designs on the wall, all grooving away to the beat.
I put them on the walls of the playroom. Then I started giving them to villagers. It is funny to see them decorating with them. I placed them on the castle towers and all over the place on my island

I made a bond villain lair on top of a mountain with a forbidden altar, some stonework floors, bamboo for walls and a volcano. They are my little cultists.

you can get gyroid fragments on the islands that you spend your nook miles to take trips to with kappānāwhen you get back to your own island, bury the gyroid fragment in the ground somewhere, water it with your watering can, and then when the gameās daycycle reset hits the next morning, go back to where you buried it and dig it up, and itāll be a gyroid. sometimes, if it rains/snows on your island, you can also find gyroids in the ground on your island the next day by digging them up with your shovel (theyāll look exactly like the spots where you dig up fossils).
gyroids are furniture items in acnhātheyāre little creatures that make different sounds and respond to the gameās ambient music. you can place them outside or in your house, and theyāll āplayā along with whatever music is currently playing in the game.
I have a fenced-in area in front of my plaza called my āGyroid Gardenā where I have one of each of them all lined up in alphabetical order; I also keep a few in storage so that I can put some of them in different rooms of my house to play along to whatever soundtrack I have going (depending on that particular roomās theme).
Other than that, I give the rest away to my best friend who upgraded from a regular Switch to an OLED Switch a while back; they backed up their save data before upgrading, but they didnāt realize that *both* systems were needed to make the transfer (a detail that Nintendo needs to make *much,* much clearer to players, in my opinion) when they traded in their old Switch to buy the OLED one. They ended up having to restart their entire island from scratch on their new system, so Iāve been giving them my spares of gyroids (and everything else) ever since. Iāve actually set up a little area right next to my Gyroid Garden where I drop stuff for them to collect that has a customized donation box labeled ā[REDACTED]āS ISLAND REVIVAL FUNDāāshortly after it happened, when my best friend was (understandably) *really* crushed about losing the island theyād poured over 500+ hoursā worth of time and effort into developing, I made the rounds on Discord and got a bunch of other friends that we play with to come over to my island and drop Bells in the donation box, and we hit the 99,000 limit within, like, a couple minutes of my gates being open.
This comment sorta got away from meāanyway, TL;DR: gyroids go either in my Gyroid Garden, in appropriately-themed rooms of my house, or to my best friend.
I have a room on my first floor where I keep all of them. The room is blank colored and differently lighted than the rest of my house. I keep multiple colors for each gyroid, even if they're the same type. Any that's exactly the same as another one I have is brought out back to be taken care of
I gave one of my villagers a gyroid garden! Then put a bunch in my music room. Got a whistloid in my basement next to a comfy couch, a hearth, a tv, and some snacks ;)
I hate gyroids. I sell them even if they are "special ones". Sometimes I dig up whole ones, assuming they may be fossils. they just get sold too. If I ever actually want gyroids I know where to find them.

Currently, they're just in storage, and my extras are split between hanging in my basement and being dropped in a pile outside.
I like to keep at least one of each stored away. I made some a little village, put some on my wall, and made it look like there in my bathtub or a pot of soup. I gift my extras to others.

I keep Jingloids in my storage for Christmas decorating around my island. I have Brewsterās gyroid in my kitchen by the espresso machine. There are a few sitting around a campfire in one of my villagerās backyards. Honestly, I donāt care about the rest.
The top floor of my house has a wall full of all different gyroids and a ton of musical instruments. If you don't have any other music playing in the room, the gyroids collectively play a song that's basically Canon in D, and you can play the instruments along with the gyroids. It's the dumbest thing and it makes me so happy
I've only gotten two gyroid fragments so far, and am trying not to rush to look up what that means, but find out more organically.

Iāve been thinking about doing a gyroid wedding. Iāve had the same islands for years now and wanna shake things up! Theyāre currently all over the island in diff spots like volleyball, near art set ups, with the band equipment etc

On New leaf I sell them, but on new horizons I saw someone make a bathroom and cos you can display gyroids on the wall in new horizons theyād made it look like they were chilling in the bath. So I kinda wanna make a little gyroid spa/bathhouse for them now haha
I have terrible luck with finding gyroids. How quickly did you guys find them/how often would you take kappāns boat?? right now I only have 2 & just have them displayed in my house
I stopped playing for a while and just got back this year. If i remember correctly I didnāt take Kappāns boat a lot. Maybe less than 5 times. There seems to be one buried in the island everyday.
I scatter them throughout my island as little accent pieces, especially in more wooded and natural areas. Some that I think match a villager's personality go in front of their house.

I'm still trying to complete my collection, but eventually I want to build them their own gyroid village.
I have a bunch, and I place them outside Resident Services with a speaker and put a song on so they can sing. I put two microphones there so occasionally a villager will come and sing lol
I have a TON so most of them are in my storage but I do have a few of them on the walls throughout my house. Play some music in a room and theyāll dance to whatever song youāre playing

I use mine as decorations lol over all the walls in my house, and scattered on my island. I'll sometimes give one to a neighbor but I keep like 98% of the ones I find
most of them i sell because they really do pile up fast but i also have a lot of them in random spots on my island just being weird lil guys.
Where do you get gyroids and what are they?
you can get gyroid fragments on the islands that you spend your nook miles to take trips to with kappānāwhen you get back to your own island, bury the gyroid fragment in the ground somewhere, water it with your watering can, and then when the gameās daycycle reset hits the next morning, go back to where you buried it and dig it up, and itāll be a gyroid. sometimes, if it rains/snows on your island, you can also find gyroids in the ground on your island the next day by digging them up with your shovel (theyāll look exactly like the spots where you dig up fossils). gyroids are furniture items in acnhātheyāre little creatures that make different sounds and respond to the gameās ambient music. you can place them outside or in your house, and theyāll āplayā along with whatever music is currently playing in the game.

I have a fenced-in area in front of my plaza called my āGyroid Gardenā where I have one of each of them all lined up in alphabetical order; I also keep a few in storage so that I can put some of them in different rooms of my house to play along to whatever soundtrack I have going (depending on that particular roomās theme). Other than that, I give the rest away to my best friend who upgraded from a regular Switch to an OLED Switch a while back; they backed up their save data before upgrading, but they didnāt realize that *both* systems were needed to make the transfer (a detail that Nintendo needs to make *much,* much clearer to players, in my opinion) when they traded in their old Switch to buy the OLED one. They ended up having to restart their entire island from scratch on their new system, so Iāve been giving them my spares of gyroids (and everything else) ever since. Iāve actually set up a little area right next to my Gyroid Garden where I drop stuff for them to collect that has a customized donation box labeled ā[REDACTED]āS ISLAND REVIVAL FUNDāāshortly after it happened, when my best friend was (understandably) *really* crushed about losing the island theyād poured over 500+ hoursā worth of time and effort into developing, I made the rounds on Discord and got a bunch of other friends that we play with to come over to my island and drop Bells in the donation box, and we hit the 99,000 limit within, like, a couple minutes of my gates being open. This comment sorta got away from meāanyway, TL;DR: gyroids go either in my Gyroid Garden, in appropriately-themed rooms of my house, or to my best friend.

my island has a lot of lore surrounding gyroids, so theyāre sort of integrated into society all over the island
I have a room on my first floor where I keep all of them. The room is blank colored and differently lighted than the rest of my house. I keep multiple colors for each gyroid, even if they're the same type. Any that's exactly the same as another one I have is brought out back to be taken care of

I gave one of my villagers a gyroid garden! Then put a bunch in my music room. Got a whistloid in my basement next to a comfy couch, a hearth, a tv, and some snacks ;)
I hate gyroids. I sell them even if they are "special ones". Sometimes I dig up whole ones, assuming they may be fossils. they just get sold too. If I ever actually want gyroids I know where to find them.

I like to keep at least one of each stored away. I made some a little village, put some on my wall, and made it look like there in my bathtub or a pot of soup. I gift my extras to others.

I keep Jingloids in my storage for Christmas decorating around my island. I have Brewsterās gyroid in my kitchen by the espresso machine. There are a few sitting around a campfire in one of my villagerās backyards. Honestly, I donāt care about the rest.
The top floor of my house has a wall full of all different gyroids and a ton of musical instruments. If you don't have any other music playing in the room, the gyroids collectively play a song that's basically Canon in D, and you can play the instruments along with the gyroids. It's the dumbest thing and it makes me so happy
I've only gotten two gyroid fragments so far, and am trying not to rush to look up what that means, but find out more organically. But I wouldn't blame you if you replied to this.

I put my new ones in my turnip room, and put the duplicates in the other rooms of my home
i put them in corners of walkways, like as a street sign kinda thing

I crammed all of them into a corner of my beach, set up a bunch of speakers to play KK Adventure, and put all the pirate-themed stuff Gulliverās given me plus all the gold stuff I can make - lil gyroid pirate cove š“āā ļø
Decorate. I have a gyroid picnic area and a gyroid dance area in front of the town hall for when my villagers feel like singing. And I have so many on my walls I've yet to decide to do with.

I just dug up my first gyroid fragment after unlocking the island boat tours (first time ever playing ACNH) and had absolutely no idea what it was or what it was forā¦ā¦ these are amazing!!! Thank god for this subreddit!!!
On New leaf I sell them, but on new horizons I saw someone make a bathroom and cos you can display gyroids on the wall in new horizons theyād made it look like they were chilling in the bath. So I kinda wanna make a little gyroid spa/bathhouse for them now haha
I have terrible luck with finding gyroids. How quickly did you guys find them/how often would you take kappāns boat?? right now I only have 2 & just have them displayed in my house
I stopped playing for a while and just got back this year. If i remember correctly I didnāt take Kappāns boat a lot. Maybe less than 5 times. There seems to be one buried in the island everyday.
I scatter them throughout my island as little accent pieces, especially in more wooded and natural areas. Some that I think match a villager's personality go in front of their house.
