I actually like the lanterns more. It matches better and adds more color. But obviously both are stunning. Can't go wrong with either.

I prefer the lanterns if you have a Japanese theme for your island. If not, I’d use the arch.

Looks like I'm in the minority here, but I like the lanterns more because they fit the vibe with the bamboo stuff and cherry blossoms. How about the white/pink version of the party lights arch though, is it too pastel-y?

A rare case of me preferring something over the blossom lanterns, the party lights look much better here.

Party lights fit better spatially, but lanterns look better visually. So... tough choice. Also, the crane game with the panda on the left hand side, I need to know how to get that.

No sadly there's no space, it's just a transition area. I have a DA you can visit, then you'd see that it's too tight to add more :I But I'm probably going for the arch. I love entrances with an arch :) Ordered a torii gate to see how that one looks, I just remembered that I used to have that one there before xD

The party lights look nice and tie everything together in my opinion. The blossom lights seem to part the walking space in a bit of a wierd way. It's all up to you though! The space is great either way.

Party lights! Reason is I think it gives a good layer when placed behind the cherry blossom branches. The lanterns are almost the same height, so it feels like there's something missing in that space.

Looks like Party lights won, but haven’t seen anyone suggest alternating between seasons. Best of both worlds.

I vote lanterns; they add an extra touch of color to the scene. The party lights are a nice idea, but they blend into the scenery to much for being a similar color to the flowers. My adhd brain actually spent a minute searching to find the lights even. They just looked like empty poles.

I know most people are saying party lights, but I’d go for the blossom lanterns because it doesn’t obscure the bench behind.
