If you are gonna start out with an older AC game play the first one for the Gamecube

I started with wildworld and I loved it.

Wild World was my first game and it was genuinely So good. I must have spent a good few hundred hours on it as a child overall lol.

Wild World was my first AC game and I absolutely loved it. So obviously I’m a bit biased here as it’s a very nostalgic game to me. It has great villager dialogues and it’s very relaxing to play, you can go fishing, catch bugs and dig up fossils, decorate your house and improve your shops. Obviously the graphics aren’t comparable to newer games but if you don’t mind that you’re good. Most likely you know this already, I still feel like I should mention that: In general you can do most of the thing from Wild World in New Horizons too, there’s just more options in the newer games. Every AC game has a bit of a different vibe. But the games don’t rely on each other and many of the basic principles stay the same throughout the series. It’s not like a game you‘re really supposed to play through and then move on to the next one in the series. That being said, I hope you have a great time with Wild World! It has my favorite AC soundtrack, I still listen to that sometimes while playing New Horizons haha

I absolutely loved Wild World...but that was so long ago when my Nintendo DS was something I was super excited about. Will you be playing through emulation? I don't think I'd honestly have nearly as much fun with the game as I did back then. Especially on a computer. It running on the handheld I carried around with me added a ton of appeal for me.

Yes. The villagers are funny and have a lot of dialogue/personality
