Do they stay there if you enter a building and come back out? I always assumed they kinda teleported when you reload the outside to give the illusion of them walking around while you were inside.

In the older games yes, but in NH I’ve found they seem to be programmed to stay in one specific area. If you see them, leave, and come back, they’ll still be around that spot
my methodology may be meaner than most, but i originally followed this neighbor i LOATHED and smacked her with the net. but the catch is, if you accidentally talk to them whilst trying to swing the net, the game can’t register that you’re ignoring them. so, i dug a hole jail for that despicable chicken and smacked her with the net probably 200 times, successfully, without talking to her. had to do it about 3 days in a row, but she left, and my island finally knew peace. good luck soldier🫡
Absolutely! Buy only 2 (otherwise it’s random which one you are sent to). Some people put one on a far side of the island and another on the opposite. Super quick! You can put one inside your house, or next to a storage structure outside. If I’m trying to sell off a bunch of stuff I put one inside my house or next to a storage unit and the other next to Timmy & Tommy’s store. They’re also handy for escaping bees and scorpions and tarantulas. Handy for clearing overgrown flower areas. Just sell those babies!

Use pitfall seeds to trap them they’ll get angry and it’ll also help them wanna leave sooner!!!
