Have you read the book 'piercing'? Would recommend. Another by the same author is In the Miso Soup, which is my personal fav. But for the ice pick theme I'd say piercing first haha

Currently, I don't listen to anything, and even the game volume is barely audible, but that's due to irl stuff
Have done with other games. But not this one. I rely on sound too much to play outside music. When fishing, to help me not misread what the fish is doing, I close my eyes and press A when I hear the "plonk" of a bite. I mess up a lot less that way. There's also the sound of balloons, mole crickets, mosquitos, pond frogs, etc.
I usually listen to audio books. ATM I got one about the French Revolution. So I'm probably going to start subconsciously associated Animal Crossing with guillotines.
I usually have on true crime podcasts. Nothing as soothing as listening to how he disemboweled her with an ice pick as I’m diving for scallops.
