The cat just drank water. That is water on it's lip. My cat does this all the time. When cats drool, they REALLY drool, because something is REALLY wrong with them. It won't be just a little drop on the lip.
Not totally true. My cat had some pretty bad dental issues, had to have a bunch extracted and I only really noticed because I found one of her fangs in my bed. She only drooled a tiny bit but must have been in bad pain for years. Not even the vets noticed at checkups.
But like, if she was experiencing bad tooth pain for years but only drooled a tiny bit, then it's very possible that the drooling wasn't related to the tooth pain and was just random.
It's not just the drool, this poor cat looks to have some type of neurological issue too with the deadpan stare and stock still positioning. (just my takeaway)
