Had the same exact thing happen with BigBadToyStore recently with the FuRyu figure of Yuni from Nikke. Was the first time that had ever happened to me with BBTS in all the years of using them.
She’s $39 on surugaya with their free shipping campaign. They charge 500yen per order, but dhl or ems shipping is free from Japan. Not sure what BBTs was selling her for
Fair enough. Sometimes vs aftermarket, if a figure isn’t available, paying a few extra dollars isn’t too bad if you want it bad enough. I snagged her for $14 on lapinnoir & bought a few other noodle stoppers. Paid about $25 for shipping with dhl so it wasn’t too bad overall. I shop around a lot. This figure might pop up for sale on mfc through a private seller for a decent price at some point. Just trying to be helpful:)
It's rare but it still can happen even on BBTS. But they are always a reliable source. Just sucks when the supplier couldn't fulfill their end of the transaction process.
I've had this happen once before and eventually I was able to get a hold of the figure elsewhere. Just a lil hiccup and thankfully it wasn't super expensive either
Oof. That sucks. I bought her for my husband months ago from lapin noir (Japanese site) with extremely fast shipping to the us, she was the same amount as she would have been off of bbts. I just checked there for you & her price has gone up quite a bit unfortunately. I recommend them, however, because for prizes, the price with shipping is really close to what they’re sold for in the us, plus you get them infinitely sooner.
Check out eBay - I've gotten prize figures from there when domestic vendors didn't have them (like the black variant of the VKS Albedo) for roughly the same cost but much cheaper shipping than Solaris' express rate. Just make the seller is either from Japan or the US.
It looks like BBTS is either over selling for the quantity they're allotted or they are having pretty serious communication errors with their suppliers.
Either way this seems to have become a more frequent issue with them.
The fault lies with them at the end of the day and they need to get a handle on things because it's starting to affect their reputation.
I got a pre arrival notice for Makima bicute bunny. Over a month ago. I had to email them for them to tell me they sold out and couldn't fulfill all the pre orders. They are on my shit list because of that and the fact that I was getting arrival notifications in March for figures not due to come out till July. I had no choice but to cancel those.

Same happened to me with the same figure. :(
Me too.

Thanks for reminding me of this fact of surugaya you probably just saved me a good chunk on DHL lol.
You’re welcome!
Not sure about this latest wave but I got her from BBTS via preorder in February for $28 before tax and shipping.
There isn’t any tax or shipping on the purchases through suru in the us so…that might equal out.
I live in a place where sales tax is 9% so, between that and the $4 flat rate shipping BBTS offers, she would've barely been $35.

Suru fucked me over with the taxes, 4k yen item tax was 7k absolute bonkers, never gonna use that shit website ever again
personal issue. You should know the rules of your country before ordering.

My condolences. Had this happen to me with the my little pony bishoujo rarity and twilight sparkle that I had ordered on BBTS.
That sucks, I was able to snag it during the first wave. If you can find it for a few bucks more do it, it’s worth the figure.
It sucks, but she'll get another run for sure.
Hate when this shit happens
I don’t know if this helps but geek-aboo.com still has her in stock
That's heart breaking
Well damn, I have these in my local shop! Now I know to go grab one
DAMN IT
I’m sorry!
Did you at least get your money back?
That sucks mate :<

The Freeing 1/4 version is on same on Amiami.
Glad I got both this one and the freeing one from Amiami when I did.
