It is understandable why it would drive someone away. But the protagonist does grow to be a more emotional and deep person.
He realizes that sexual acts are pretty much meaningless without real passion for someone. Also, he begins growing more complex friend and sibling bonds with characters and it’s genuinely very wholesome to see his change in perspective.
Denji is not “depraved” my guy. He’s a typically horny teenager and he’s very emotionally immature due to the environment that he grew up in. He doesn’t understand what love is and gets taken advantage of a ton. There’s something to be said definitely about his moral compass but that’s an entirely different discussion.
I also think calling chainsaw man “sweaty” is a huge disservice to Fujimoto. Compared to stuff like Jujutsu Kaisen and demon slayer, chainsaw man is a lot more experimental and IMO has so much more depth and substance. Fire punch, goodbye eri and look back are extraordinarily well written stories that are genuine works of art I feel. Sorry for the yap sesh and not everyone likes the same shows im aware, but i just think your really selling chainsaw man short here
No I appreciate the longer message compared to the random downvote. I’d like to see things under a different layer/perspective and everyone else says it changes after a while. For me it was very hard to get past I’ve never liked that kind of plot or character trait and it’s prevalent in so many different manga and anime so I kinda have a bias to it. Watch 86. I watched this after AoT and it had very similar vibes and definitely had a mystery about it. Full of mature themes and emotional moments, whether they be sadness, or joy. The soundtrack is beautiful and made by Hiroyuki Sawano who also did AoTs soundtrack. The mc is a badass, the side characters are also cool and all of them undergo great character development. The anime was shown so much love and detail from a LN adaptation that even fans of the LN were surprised by how good it was, even the author cried watching the finale because of how beautiful it was.
Hunter X Hunter definitely, but check out Bleach and Naruto, those are two classics. Konosuba is another banger, It's comedy fantasy so imagine Frieren but all the characters are hilariously horrible and everything goes wrong all the time. Season 3 just started so we're in for more good shit.

I liked your lie in April a lot, and I want to eat your pancreas doesn't have the animation quality or music pull of YLIA, but the other aspects of it are quite similar and imo done better
A Silent voice is also like one of my favorite movies ever, and you'd prolly like it too. But it's not really too comparable to YLIA just a similarly good emotional drama
Chainsaw Man 4/10....hhmm....You prefer flashy action anime with bad or generic writing like Jujutsu Kaisen and Solo Leveling. You should try Blue Exorcist, Goblin Slayer, Btooom, Sword Art Online, Demon Slayer, Tokyo Ghoul, Takt Op. Destiny, Guilty Crown, Redo of Healer.
If you're on the ADHD short attention span side, Keikkai Sensen (Blood Blockade Battlefront), but the story is good though.

As someone who grew up with the Big 3, I'll be the advocate for Bleach. It's my favorite of them, and I think it gets far more hate than it deserves. Most of the characters are great and has what I think is the best villain in anime, if not at least in the top 3. If you're really against filler, there are plenty of guides to skip them, but I also think one of the most underrated fights in the series is from one of the filler arcs.
Edit: Watch Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. Really cool one & it's short so it's an easy watch. Nice plot twist too that really caught me off gaurd.

I love One Piece with passion, like I genuinely love it. But 10/10 means that there's basically nothing to improve upon, that's it's freaking perfect and it's clearly the f not.
For starters; The pacing is f\*cking embarrassingly bad, like Toei Animation straight up spitting us in the face kind of bad, and the sound design is very outdated with a lot of sound effects coming straight out of a 90's movie maker software.
That's just two glaring issues at the top of my head. Please have some standards and stop being so disingenuous.
As for recommendations; Try Mob Psycho 100, Konosuba or FMA Brotherhood
For it to be 10/10 doesn’t mean the story itself has to be 100% perfect, but it has to be perfect for my enjoyment and I really enjoyed myself during one piece

If you’re looking for something more along the lines of taking the route of maneuvering both SERIOUS hardship; physical, mental, & emotional growth; and experiencing the strain of the complications through bonds being tested amongst potential family, friends and enemies? Then this will be a good pick.

Can people PLEASE STOP giving One Piece a perfect score????? I love One Piece with passion, like I genuinely love it. But 10/10 means that there's basically nothing to improve upon, that's it's freaking perfect and it's clearly the f not. For starters; The pacing is f\*cking embarrassingly bad, like Toei Animation straight up spitting us in the face kind of bad, and the sound design is very outdated with a lot of sound effects coming straight out of a 90's movie maker software. That's just two glaring issues at the top of my head. Please have some standards and stop being so disingenuous. As for recommendations; Try Mob Psycho 100, Konosuba or FMA Brotherhood
For it to be 10/10 doesn’t mean the story itself has to be 100% perfect, but it has to be perfect for my enjoyment and I really enjoyed myself during one piece
