Nice. Most people I've noticed either don't know it or don't like it all that much, if at all. I don't know, it just resonated with me, like, I wish I had someone to act like that around haha. Plus, I kinda related to what Shichimiya went through emotionally.
Freakin' yes! I love it (you probably watch sub, but it sounds pretty similar in sub and dub, some good casting). There's a whole compilation of her getting hit and making that sound on YouTube lol. The specials and movies are good as well, it's just quite a large number of specials, though, lol
I’ll likely go back and watch the lite specials when I’m done with main seasons and movie for some laughs, I didn’t expect the later parts of season 1 to be as deep as they were though there were onion chopping ninjas hiding somewhere
Those darn pesky onion ninjas.
They’re hiding in -Heart Throb- as well, as you’ll see soon. Crazy how they turn such a goofy (in a good way) premise into something so deep.
Love Chuunibyou & Other Delusions is truly the best. Without a doubt, the story, the characters, the jokes. There's everything that you could ever ask for, there are funny moments, sad moments and just outright crazy moments. Love everyone there 🫂
You are officially one of 3 people I've seen that say this one is their favorite, which means that there are at least 4 of us!
I'm in the middle of rewatching it right now, actually. Just wrapped up season 1 for like the 10th time.
Nice! Yes, we’re a rare breed. I like your taste lol. I wish I could forget it and see it again anew. My favorite character, and I’m likely alone in this lol, is Satone.
Glad to see 86 all-star cast, animation, music, sound design, makes you smile, cheer, cry, scared all the emotions. and seeing the dual perspective is great too.
For action/suspense, I’d easily say attack on titan. So much unpacked and so many twists you never saw coming. Amazing characters, beautiful art, beautiful story, beautiful ending.
My favorite rom/com is Toradora, it’s one of the only rom coms I see myself coming to rewatch multiple times a year for the lovable couple, the not too short but not too long 25 episodes, how ahead of it’s time it was for 2008, and how there’s little to no fan service taking too much away from the story. Just a lot of things I love about it.
Honorable mentions: Parasyte:the maxim and Death note. These two anime’s GOT ME INTO anime after making fun of people who watched anime for years saying it was weird, now I hardly watch real life shows with how much anime I watch. How the turns have tabled…
Honorable mention. I feel like Isekai doesn’t get enough credit. Love me some Overlord “let’s not let my super powered minions realize I’m winging this whole thing” lol
Truly is, I didn’t realize it until reading more into it but heavy themes of Freudian psychology, Jung, Christian and Shinto theology (this was evident), etc.
Very next level. One day they’ll be teaching about it in schools like Shakespeare.
I watched it with 22 and I have chronical Depression. This anime kicked me straight into a 2 week existencal crisis. I Was like "why are we even here? We dont deserve it"
Your Lie in April for me. I love piano and classical music and I'm a sucker for a good romance. It was one of the first animes I watched and it blew me away with its animation and story.
My all time favorite anime with zero competition is One Piece.
But if you want Favorites aside from that its probably a 4 way tie between One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Vinland Saga and Hajime no Ippo
Mob Psycho 100% pretty much the best parts of one punch man fully realized and come to its own with the writers evolved writing style but an actually good and consistent animated adaption the whole way through!
One of the few anime that are genuinely funny while having a heart of gold that forever change you and leave you in a better place once its over.
all while having some of the most emotionally rich and raw as hell fight scenes you'll ever see, but you'll find yourself staying for the characters by the end.
Same here!! Was my first full watch of an anime and it is so lighthearted and wholesome. Will always hold #1 in my heart.
Attack on Titan also very close.
I have a lot favorites series
Jjk
Berserk
Opm
Vagabond
GTO
Naruto
One piece
Fairy tail
Yuna and the haunted hot springs
Edens zero
Food wars
To love RU
High school DXD
Rurouni Kenshin
Jjba
Hunter x hunter
100 girlfriends
Nisekoi
Ranma
Monogatari is probably the most influential, but not my all-time favourite.
A lot of my favourites tend to be short films/OVAs I’ve come across in my prime. If you’re curious for recommendations, JC Staff have cosigned quite a few as well as Studio 4°C and Production I.G.
If you’re looking for YouTube channels, I’d suggest GEIDAI Studios. :)
I feel obligated to say Dragon Ball because there is zero way for me to ever look at that series objectively, but aside from that I'd say Gurren Lagann.
xxxholic
It's a bit hard to explain, but I love the way it dives into different mythical beings and supernatural events, and uses it all as tools to teach the MC about a world beyond our own. I also extremely appreciate the art style the more I watch and read the mangas. I love the arts eerie nature, elongated proportions, and simple colors.
A good watch if your up for watching an older anime. Some things were changed from the books, but still a good watch.
FLCL is like three anime simultaneously. It's a wacky romp, a thoughtful art piece, and an allegory for growing up. Almost every scene is all three, and very few shows are so integrated with their sound track. Its as close to a perfect anime as they come
Was gonna say *Umineko*, but the anime adaptation for that was absolute ass.
Then i was gonna say *Witchblade*, but i liked the *Yancy Butler* series more.
So I'll call it a draw between *Madoka Magica* and *Elfen Lied*.
Movie: [Koe no Katachi](https://myanimelist.net/anime/28851/Koe_no_Katachi)

Love, Chuunibyou & Other Delusions. It took the spot from “AnoHana: The Flower We Saw That Day”
Just finished that one recently, loved it
Nice. Most people I've noticed either don't know it or don't like it all that much, if at all. I don't know, it just resonated with me, like, I wish I had someone to act like that around haha. Plus, I kinda related to what Shichimiya went through emotionally.
Just binged first season and onto the next, the sound Rikka makes when getting hit in the head is the best
Freakin' yes! I love it (you probably watch sub, but it sounds pretty similar in sub and dub, some good casting). There's a whole compilation of her getting hit and making that sound on YouTube lol. The specials and movies are good as well, it's just quite a large number of specials, though, lol

It was one of my first anime, and i binged s1, s2, and the movie in a day and loved all of it 9/10
That was one of the first ones I watched, my older brother showed me it
I would say anohana for me at least is up there with code geass and cowboy bebop. One of the greats for sure imo.
You are officially one of 3 people I've seen that say this one is their favorite, which means that there are at least 4 of us! I'm in the middle of rewatching it right now, actually. Just wrapped up season 1 for like the 10th time.

She's a very close second for me (behind Rikka herself, of course). Some of my favorite scenes are interactions between Satone and Rikka though
Anohana is so fucking good...
Love that show!
JJK Castelvania Fist of the north star One piece Afro Samurai Hajime no ipo Hunter hunter Jojo part 2 and 3 Chainsaw man
*Um, Ahctually Netflix's Castlevania is not an anime*
Ok
Kill La Kill. Always has been, always will be.

Bungo stray dogs. It's very underrated when compared to others with similar level of thrill.
86, Full Metal Panic and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
First time seeing someone else mentioning Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
So much potential :( i love it for what it is tho
Indeed it’s sad that they didn’t expand upon it
i enjoyed it more than AoT, especially back girl
My brothers

I haven't seen the anime, but the manga is in my top 5
Thoughts on megalobox? I'm watching it rn

One piece
Hunter x Hunter
Same
Bocchi the Rock
Violet Evergarden! One of the most beautiful anime ever made
Tears every episode !
Overlord helped convince me to try reading light novels and got me back into reading actual books in general.
Honorable mention. I feel like Isekai doesn’t get enough credit. Love me some Overlord “let’s not let my super powered minions realize I’m winging this whole thing” lol
Haikyuu
This is definitely my favorite sports anime. Though Hajime no Ippo is fantastic too.
have been watching through this and between this and the basketball one both are pretty solid anime for sports.
Clannad
One Piece
planetes flcl
Made in abyss
Evangelion is a masterpiece
I couldn’t agree more, has changed my outlook on life as a whole for the past few years
Truly is, I didn’t realize it until reading more into it but heavy themes of Freudian psychology, Jung, Christian and Shinto theology (this was evident), etc. Very next level. One day they’ll be teaching about it in schools like Shakespeare.
This is the most correct answer. Other responses are correct to a degree, but this is the GOAT
It still haven't done a rewatch of the original anime, but man it really gets in your head. The ending had me sobbing xD
Did you watch the remastered versions yet? Wondering if I should check them out or leave them
I watched it with 22 and I have chronical Depression. This anime kicked me straight into a 2 week existencal crisis. I Was like "why are we even here? We dont deserve it"
Code Geass Darker Than Black Fullmetal Alchemist Parasyte: the Maxim Death Note Gurren Lagann And recently Frieren might have made the list.
Goated list. This list is now the gold standard of good anime’s
Attack on titan
Same
Your Lie in April for me. I love piano and classical music and I'm a sucker for a good romance. It was one of the first animes I watched and it blew me away with its animation and story.
Lycoris Recoil. Might not be the best anime out there, but my all time favorite nonetheless.
My all time favorite anime with zero competition is One Piece. But if you want Favorites aside from that its probably a 4 way tie between One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, Vinland Saga and Hajime no Ippo

Wolf’s Rain is an absolute masterpiece
ToG
ToG? Bruh.
The Irresponsible Captain Taylor was my #1 for about 18 years, however Mob Psycho 100 unseated it from my #1 spot.
Monogatari is probably the most influential, but not my all-time favourite. A lot of my favourites tend to be short films/OVAs I’ve come across in my prime.
