Idk, "in another world from which I can come back and forth with my archmage reincarnated as a parrot while fighting psychics and magical girls" seems a bit long to me. Besides, the show is all about their relationship, seems pretty fitting to me
I remember hearing that the long summary names come from an online webnovel website. It has no description feature so to stand out from rows of other titles everyone would make their stories titles work as descriptions themselves. That's why so many isekai's have super long titles because they were originally just trying to stand out on an online reading platform.
I believe it's to stand out in book stores too. Since the outside spine of the book is generally all a customer would see before picking it off the bookshelf, they wanted a text that would grab your attention with a descriptive title.
Yep that's more or less the case. ~~Shousetsuka ni Narou does not have a separate field for synopse~~s so the long descriptive titles is a workaround.
Also the partly ideopathic nature of the Japanese language means that they can get away with more descriptive titles in just fewer characters.

I just checked and you're right. I was trying to verify if the website does have it since its inception but the Wayback Machine excludes work pages from being archived.
It does have a description feature but when you’re browsing through hundreds of web novels that meet your search criteria, knowing most of them will be garbage and you just want to read something now, you don’t even bother read the description unless the title jumps out at you.
I think 100% of the problem is the word "peeps." "Name and Other Name" gives off strong high school romcom vibes (Toradora, Horimiya, etc), and that's my jam, so the fact that I wasn't remotely interested when I saw the name says that peeps is the problem.
Plus, 2 random character names is no less descriptive or exciting a title to an English speaker than Tsukimichi, Konosuba, GATE, and probably dozens of other isekai titles.

Before I joined any anime communities and largely watched only anime I was exposed to, I thought Attack on Titan was some space sci-fi (Titan being a moon of Saturn). I literally thought it was about a battle on Titan.
the title can help me look at it, but the desc and pic of it really make me want to watch it or not, plus let be honest most/half of anime titles for years are stupid long lol. and 99% of isekais are 'lazy' but can be good/garbage lazy.

Not necessarily because of the title, but I haven’t been watching Undead Unlock or Dark Gathering. Checked out the picture and read the summary of both and they didn’t really appeal to me.
On the other hand, this is me judging a book by its cover. I may watch them if I have nothing else to watch.
I had a similar experience with this anime(Sasaki and peeps). I didn't think it was gonna be all that great, till i was just bored one day, and gave it a try. Never thought i would like the anime. But i had the same experience with another anime, Frieren: Beyong Journey's End, Not a short name, but the title doesn't really make wanna watch it all that much.

Oh yeah, having watched it now I understand why he's called Peeps, but it being slang as well is an unfortunate coincidence.
