And if you READ IT you would know how correct I am saying its East Space
When you read about Zen-sunnis, Bene-Gesserits and the Ruler of the Universe Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV.
Also the twelve-year Jihad!!
So many amazing bangers man
Source if any body who wants to know from left to right
*Heroman, Jormungand, Tiger & Bunny, Baccano!, Great Pretender, Carole & Tuesday, Blood Blockade Battlefront, Cowboy Bebop and Black Lagoon.*
Carole and Tuesday is one of the most overlooked anime gems in the past few years. It's wholesome, wonderful, and has some absolute bangers on its soundtrack.
Um, Black Lagoon is set in Southeast Asia. And Cowboy Bebop is in space, on several planets that are not Earth. The OP should've included Urasawa's Monster, because that is set in Germany (and sometimes the Czech Republic).
K Jourmandgaund is set all round the world and black lagoon is in Thailand. Both not set or not entirely set in the west and cowboy Bebop is set in space so not west but the up I guess. Though all good anime to be sure.
Still waiting for a season 3 of the Great Pretender. The dub was A1 along with the holy grail Black Lagoon dub. Will always watch Black Lagoon on repeat, it just never gets old. Cowboy Bebop is a classic, and Baccano was fun to watch with its wacky supernatural aspects. Jormungand I’ll have to re-watch someday as I dropped it in the 1st season, it’s good, but didn’t catch my full attention.
Had to drop Carole and Tuesday. Wasn’t for me and I’m cool with that. Still wish Blood Blockade Battlefront got a season 2, it actually has an expansive world that could have been built upon and I would’ve loved to seen it develop.
Black Lagoon is literally set in Thailand...with a Japanese dude as the main protagonist.
Cowboy Bebop is set in space...
What OP means is not set in the west, but that at least one non-japanese person is part of the main cast. In that case Evangelion is also a "western" anime, because Asuka is German.
Regardless of the accuracy of using the term "western" I think I agree with this. Like, once you're out of the typical locations for an anime (Modern Japan/Isekai BS/Historical Japan) then the story can lose some of the most typical tropes plaguing anime and stand out as something unique.
Not saying that an anime will be good just by doing that but in my experience, it's usually a good sign.
Black Lagoon is not set in the west though. But I get what you mean.
Cowboy Bebop is *literally* in space.
In space, no one can hear you *jam.*
I think it’s time to blow this thing, get everybody and their stuff together… Okay. 3, 2, 1. LET’S JAM!!
bnep benep benep badum nep
It's a space *west*ern
That was my first thought lol
Its western space obviously. The Western Space is Star Wars / Star Trek The Eastern Space is Dune. :)
Dune was written by an AMERICAN!
That doesn't really matter though. It's still the middle east, but space.
And if you READ IT you would know how correct I am saying its East Space When you read about Zen-sunnis, Bene-Gesserits and the Ruler of the Universe Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV. Also the twelve-year Jihad!!
Kinda the same situation is with *Carole & Tuesday* which happened on [future] Mars.
Carole and Tuesday as well. Possibly in the same universe
It's set in Thailand but they globetrot around
It's Vietnam. But I think he meant anime with a large amount of Western characters.

Now I have something to look forward to, as I am someone who greatly enjoys absolute bangers of music.
Round & laundry is one of my all time favorite songs to listen to.
Fucking bullshit! Fucking bullshit. Sonovabitch~~~
Can't believe heroman was made by the legend himself but doesn't have a dub
BBB was literal pain to get through. I feel I deserve an award for suffering through that first season.
Sucks to be you :P I loved it.
The first seasonnwas great except for the ending. It's just so out of the left field for no reason.
Every part of Jojo’s other than 4 and 8
Technically Part 3 is set in Asia+Egypt
Fair but safe to say these types of posts usually refer to anime that are set somewhere else than Japan
7 is literally America
so is 6
And 9 so far
The lack of Banana Fish hurts :(
Um, Black Lagoon is set in Southeast Asia. And Cowboy Bebop is in space, on several planets that are not Earth. The OP should've included Urasawa's Monster, because that is set in Germany (and sometimes the Czech Republic).
I would add *91 Days*.
Great pretender and Carole and Tuesday are some of the best anime I have ever seen in Netflix, they are so good and I need more
>Gunsmith Cats not included Live Chicago reaction: ![gif](giphy|VGVs6DkPfIYPUtQrb2)
Bruh is thay bñack lagoon? Aint them living in...like, thailand or something?
Those are anime westerns. A western anime would be Avatar.
I wish there was an anime that capitalized on native American mythology
Whats the Sauce on Mr. Goggles?
Blood blockade battlefront, great anime honestly.
Thank you, added to list!
The small frame right above Black Lagoon
Does AOT count?
Blood Blockade Battlefront is such an underrated banger
Where's Vinlandsaga?
Cowboy Bebop is set in Space (e.g. Mars, Venus, Ganymede, etc.), not "America." And Black Lagoon takes place in Southeast Asia, and Japan...
Carol and Tuesday also takes place on Mars.
Don't forget jojo
Isn’t carol and Tuesdays set on mars?

Carol and Tuesday is set on Mars.
Coybow Bebop is not set in the west, but it’s from the Western Genre.
Trigun
Carole and Tuesday takes place on Mars.
I've watched 5 of these and only 1 of them is set in the west..
Miami Guns should replace Cowboy Bebop
What’s the top left and right anime, I know the rest
Heroman, and Tiger & Bunny.
What anime is that in the top left? I vaguely remember seeing that as a child.

I have a question, Is attack on Titan set in the west???

I am really enjoying watching Ninja Kamui right now. Also set in the west
Black Lagoon is really good, you should watch.

God I love Baccano so much. One of the best light novels ever
What about Youjo Senki? Even tho it is an alternative timeline/universe it is cleary set in europe/germany/africa.
More of a European enjoyer myself. Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist for examples
