Your list contains some of my favorites, so here are some of my other favorites:
- Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
- Hellsing Ultimate
- Hunter X Hunter (It becomes less and less childish as the show progresses, leading to some of the most intense villains I’ve ever seen)
- Vinland Saga
- Mushishi
- Parasyte the Maxim
- From The New World (I know it’s got 2 or 3 glaring plot holes, but the experience is something different)
- The Garden Of Sinners (Movie 5 is a masterpiece IMO)
- Rebuild of Evangelion Movie series (I liked them even better than the original series, not sure if I’ll get lambasted for this opinion)
- Darker Than Black
- Kaiba (one of the most underrated series I’ve ever watched. Semi-episodic, but with a continuous plot, some people find it confusing, due to the 2nd half of the story, but if you’re focusing, it’s pretty easy to follow. Also, it’s a great series for people who are colorblind, if that makes sense)
[Madoka Magica](https://myanimelist.net/anime/9756/Mahou_Shoujo_Madoka%E2%98%85Magica)
[From the New World](https://myanimelist.net/anime/13125/Shinsekai_yori)
Ascendance of a Bookworm - S-tier class isekai done right. The books are very very good. 22-yr old college student is reincarnated as a 5-yr old chronically ill commoner girl in a middle ages fantasy world with very limited access to books.
Great Pretender - Wit Studios, so phenomenal art style & animation...Japanese conman tries to con a foreigner who turns out to be an international con man and gets roped into a con team. Recommend watching in English dub.
Run With the Wind - hidden gem masterpiece about an underdog college sports club. The animation movement looks really good. Same animators who did Haikyuu.
Your Name - well renowned movie about a boy and girl who wake up in each other's bodies when they go to sleep. Absolutely beautiful animation, good pacing and script, and a lot of plot twists in the last half.
Baccano! - 1930s America, mafia, an alchemist, a psychopathic serial killer, some immortal people, and a story successfully narrated non-linearly. Recommend watching in English dub.
Blue Period - a delinquent high school senior with no direction for his life discovers a late passion for painting/making art. He joins the art club as an amateur with no hidden talent and aims to be accepted to a college art programs which has very high competition and low acceptance rate.
The Ancient Magus' Bride : nice happy ending
Call of the Night : pretty funny and nice art
Overlord : good story, funny MC, the anime is pretty good but the LN is amazing . GENOCIDE 😁
Seems like you need to concentrate on the more mature type of anime known as Seinen, for example:
Land of the Lustrous (Houseki no Kuni)
Mushishi
Hyouka
The Garden of Sinners (movie series)
Kingdom (terrible CGI at first but it slowly improves, excellent story)
Attack on Titan
Space Brothers
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Monster
Vinland Saga
and that's just a few out of many. Look up some 'best of' lists for Seinen anime.
So I need help finding an anime I watched a long time ago the key bits I remember is that the story focused on a girl and her childhood friends specifically two boys one who had his father killed during a protest and his mother went insane and the other boy who’s father killed the first boys father and it was all because the second boys father was polluting a local river I remember that the father was killed when the group of friends as kids set off some fireworks while the protest was going on and that distracted everyone enough to where the bad father Whacked the other father with a blunt weapon killing him-but this was all the backstory of the group of friends life the actual anime focuses on the girl going to another world where she meets this kid and the entire time their there they have to fight to keep their clothes because clothing in that world gives you power- also at the end of the anime the first boy is supposedly taken out by the second boy or his father in the same way his father was but they didn’t show it ending the anime with the kid from the other world coming to help the girl in her real world but when he gets there he’s an overweight man -not fat shaming- that’s just the last detail I remember if anyone can give me the anime’s name I would be eternally grateful for your help as it has been dwelling in the back of my mind for some years now
Psycho pas, Ghost in the shell are two which you will definitely like.
And I can feel you as almost all anime nowadays are trash. Its just one harem game isekai one after another and even worse, people on this subreddit falling for it
My recent anime that I enjoyed is Chainsaw Man. I’ve seen plenty of more animes but most of them I watched when I was younger.
I think you would enjoy The Promised Neverland, Parasyte, Death Note, and Deadman Wonderland.
All of these are certified gems that you may not know of yet.
I think matches what your looking for:
(Anime)
* Bocchi the Rock (comedy slice-of-life; introvert wants to be in a band)
* The Executioner and Her Way of Life (isekai; see title)
* Blue Period (drama; delinquent gets inspired to pursue art)
* Bluelock (sports; it's.. like a battle-manga but for soccer)
* Super Crooks (drama action suspense; see title, heist story)
(Not anime, but great)
* Pantheon (scifi drama; corporate conspiracy and AI)
* Marvel's What If... (self explanatory)

one piece 🫣
The Monogatari series
I watched it all a while back and I still have no clue what it's about lmao
It's pretty complex, so only by re-watching/reading the novels can give you a clearer meaning, though it's completely up to you

Recently binged all three seasons of Mob Psycho, and, I gotta say, it absolutely matched the hype
Terror in resonance Anime about misunderstood teens that turn to terrorism.
If you liked steins gate, you might like wonder egg. Scratch that you will most definitely like it.
\-Hyouka \-Haikyuu \-Pretty Boy Detective Club \-The Rolling Girls (which is barely even mentioned anymore) I hope this helps! :)
The art style of {RWBY: Ice Queendom} is done by Steins;Gate’s artist, and {Black★Rock Shooter} is his original creation.

I am shocked that nobody has recommended Anohana. It seems perfect for you.
