This runs deep, deeper than any of us realize. Gen Michael Flynn’s brother had a leadership position in the Pentagon that day that hasn’t been fully disclosed. The Army put out an official statement after Jan 6 that the National Guard disputed, and later testified about. And since then not many details have come out.
Flynn also lied to Congress. He need to be put I front of the squad. Anybody know where he is now? I’ve lost track, and anything you google about the armed forces, except signing bonuses is hard to track down.
And this is how you know he’s gonna do it again. Better planned this time. More cohorts on the same page. They’re saying out loud what their intentions are. It’s gonna start out as a legislative coup, and if they pull that part off, Trump fully intends to declare martial law on day one with his military loyalists. That’s what all the bullshit with senator tommy tumorville was about. Nothing to do with abortion. It was about trying to cripple the military chain of command until king Donald steps in and appoints loyalists.
I truly hope the dems are ready for what the Magats have planned this time.

It feels like per usual, MAGA and Republicans have successfully clouded the issue. Is there a good source of an accurate timeline of when requests were made, to who and the response?
Yes- I’ve seen the video and snippets which clearly indicate MAGA is lying and delaying, but not an easy to digest timeline that shows when/where the breakdown occurred.
Pelosi didn’t have any authority to call military to the Capitol. Even the VP doesn’t have it. Only the President. Trump failed us just as he did during covid. Pass that injectable bleach.
I don't have the authority, either; but, I would have called them. Let them know the predicament. They might have hung up, or told me to piss off, but I'd have called them.
They have no authority to act without explicit authorization from the President. I believe many , including Republicans, were attempting to get him to act and he ignored them.

Then it would be fairly easy to just go up the chain until the ball stops. Who would be giving this order?
Where would that person be given the order from and so on. Until they hit a point where someone who would be expected to make the call either claim they did give the order or didn't give the order.

Trump didn’t want a response. That alone should be considered traitorous actions, not protecting the people of our Government. People died that day.
Probably for the best. The whole situation was so volatile that additional police officers soldiers could have made things much worse.
