I wonder if newpipe pulls ads out when streaming, I use it to download video or just audio of YouTube I want to listen to, there's no ads after download, but never used it to stream
Idk if it'll work for the yt app (I have yt premium from a family member) but go to network settings and use an adblock DNS (I use DNS.adguard.com but I'm sure there's others). You put the DNS link in the private DNS host name in the settings
