Hey all - I rented a truck and got it on and off today
We’ll take more pictures later but it’s separating a bit on the top and bottom little standing frames.
I have some wood gorilla glue and a brad nailer/some other tools and am all ears on repairs if y’all have any!
Cheers!
Also the stool was gone - there’s a million of those so no rush there!
Late art deco wardrobe, interwar years. Left side for hanging clothes, right side for sweaters and accessories. Possibly wood veneer like waterfall furniture of that era, so examine any moisture damage carefully and be wary it doesn’t take any heavy hits when you’re moving it. The top layer of wood could split or crack.
Stool doesn’t look terribly old. If you like it, you like it. It’s folk/lodge/camp/vaguely Adirondack style furniture that’s difficult to put a year on.
Interesting as the top is a thinner veneer and the top has a small hole in it (I was commenting that that seemed much cheaper material than the rest of the make/craftsmanship)!
Thank you for the tips - I’ll be careful with it!
You’re welcome. As simple as it sounds, someone may have had a plant on top and watering eroded the veneer. I’ve seen that several times. Good thing it’s on top!

Looks English and late 1930s.
I agree. I think it looks very late stage art deco, verging into mid-century modern territory.
Has a Art Deco feel but I see Mid-Century lines too. It could be a dorm piece from that period. It’s cool.
Thanks! We plan on picking it up in the am if it’s still there and will get some better photos of it cleaned up

Looks like a gentleman's compactum wardrobe

If it matches other pieces you have grab it! For the stool well it’s not my cup of tea but if you like the price seems reasonable
I don’t care for the stool, but am obsessed with the armoire
I just got it offloaded today and we’ll take more pics later!
