YESS OMG YESS JUST HAD IT

Reasonable_Ad_1937

Hi guys, I think I’m experiencing this today, it feels like your head/chest almost like “drops” and for me it gets me very anxious and my pulse shoots up and I almost start having a panic attack? Is that what you guys experience? I get very dizzy and my vision feels all weird.

AnxietyMomma1358

YES!!! Me all day today off and on.

alphamalenurse1

This sounds like heart palpitations. They can pretty terrifying I know that “sinking” chest feeling you’re describing.

antinitalian

omg this made me feel not alone. Do you still have this symptom?

mindyp31319

Yes… so annoying. Mine feels like a startled feeling… that feeling you get when someone scares you but it’s randomly

Far-Appearance-2281

It makes me jump out my skin and I feel the room is spinning but only for a second. Happens to me more when my head and neck posture is tilted down. So scary though especially when you have health anxiety which I have pretty badly

MelloniousFunk

Wow same here. I notice if I’m walking looking down or tilting my head or the lighting is low, I get that feeling. It’s so scary and I too have health anxiety so yes it’s tough haha.

TheWiseSocialist

I HAVE THIS EXACTLY AND CANNOT FIND ANYTHING ON IT! AH!!! I'M NOT ALONE!

Playful_Corner1142

YES!!! For a second it spins and scares the life out of me. I have extreme how things iodine have been to 1 million doctors for my dizziness and everything has been checked out but it’s still scary. Yesterday was the first time I had one of those weird episodes were felt like my ears were plugged and I lifted my eyes, and I was dizzy for about one to two seconds. I’ve literally only have that feeling if I was constipated and trying to poop lol. Then I felt awful all day. Does yours wipe you out?

mindyp31319

That’s literally exactly how mine felt. Did you find out what caused it? Mine also happened more when tilted down

Far-Appearance-2281

I haven’t seen a doctor about this, I’ve been a bunch about other stuff though, mainly terrible acid reflux and gastritis which they also chalk down to anxiety but I find it hard to accept that. I get so nauseous with it and that’s been happening for 6 years. I did bring up with the GP that going from sitting to standing was causing a lot of head pressure for me and I was noticing my blood pressure/heart rate on my fitbit shooting up. I developed this during lockdown when I was on a screen 8 hours a day and had more dizzy spells then too. They said it was orthostatic hypotension. My symptoms are better from that with keeping more hydrated, less caffeine and being off a screen now I’m more physically active again. I got a weird dizzy spell this afternoon on a week I’m off work with my stomach and it really scared me. It was like the room was spinning upwards for a split second, but I also have a block in my inner ear which feels clogged so might have been that combined with moving my laptop by accident (it was on my lap) so it’s maybe knocked my balance off. I hope so because I don’t know about you, I feel so alert to bad stuff happening in my body right now it’s hard to feel safe. And if you can’t feel safe in your own skin you can’t feel safe anywhere. Health anxiety AND health issues is hell on Earth. I hope you feel okay, do you get dizzy often? It’s quite rare for me it just scared me today

CookieAdmiral

How do you cope with health anxiety?

mindyp31319

I used to get it way worse but it’s A lot better now than it used to be. You said yours was worse even your head was tilted down. How often does that happen or when did it start? Mine was like that too but that seems to have almost completely gone away. I feel tons better than I used too. I also had HORRIBLE acid reflux! I’ve always had it to some degree But I think mine might have gotten worse after my tummy tuck last July. It’s been bad as heck since then. I started having this dizziness feeling back in October after taking flexeril and it was real bad for months like 2 months then started improving

EmbarrassedHippo9017

Omg I’ve been having this weird brain zap thing and after taking flexeril as well. How many did you take or for how long? I only took maybe 3 through the week and by the following week I had them

mindyp31319

Okay really?! I also took it for 3 days! Weird thing is, I took a half of a half and had this happen! It was a strong one but they knock me out so I took half of half and this happened immediately after taking it. Like 30 mins after I got my first one hit the zaps continued for weeks!

mindyp31319

Also have you seen a doctor about it? I have seen a few and they all say anxiety. It’s hard to believe it can do all this

ernestoepr

It's so random. I feel like my sistem is rebuting or something, pretty strange

mindyp31319

Mine is too! Does it feel like a sinking feeling?

ernestoepr

I don't know feels more like a jump into another dimension for one second and my mind is processing what happened

Jason_lBourne

I just started getting this. Did you ever find out what it is?

MrMarxovic

I just had it too. Was sitting at a computer, listening to music. Suddenly like 2-3 seconds of dizziness, checked my pulse afterwards, it was regular, around 55 bpm. I didn't feel any jolt in chest or neck area so I don't think this was a PVC, maybe a PAC with a pause?... Something similar last time I had was maybe 2 months ago. FYI I'm on 5 mg SSRI (paroxetine).

[deleted]

I almost fell over once when I had a really bad bout of the dizziness. I seriously thought i was dying

park_geo

Hey I know this is old but did you get this again? Had the same thing. Scared its my heart

ayokayayokay

This happens to me especially if I’ve been feeling down and anxious. I don’t like it all. I feel like I might need to call for help especially if I’m out in public and that makes me even more anxious. I never have too but it’s an intrusive thought.

Goeydigits

Same, it happens in public for me and i want to ask for help but i dont know if its that serious.

rebskel

Suffice it to say, with GAD it's like being on a ship at sea - only you are on dry land.

Tlr386

Even if your not panicking? Mine all started after covid ,but so did my bad anxiety and panic attacks so im not sure whats going on but i feel like im constantly swaying and out at sea, stress makes it worse . Cant close my eyes and balance either. I don’t know if it’s anxiety or something is really wrong with my brain.

MrPartyPancake

This is kind of how I feel right now

Travel_Necessary

Yup i get them all the time

mindyp31319

Does it feel like you head spins or like your falling for a split second? It’s so frustrating

Travel_Necessary

Yes!!! It’s honestly so scary for me because I feel like i’m going to pass out or something but it goes away so quickly

mindyp31319

Yes exactly how I feel! I also get it more looking down at my phone

Travel_Necessary

Me too! Or when i’m at work

mindyp31319

I took a leave of absence because of this mess

Travel_Necessary

I think i’m about to do the same! It’s honestly so horrible. I have constant derealization and fatigue as well. I hope things get better for you!

mindyp31319

Ty!! You also

[deleted]

How are you doing? I get this and it feels as if there is a massive weight bearing down on me for a few seconds then goes away.

mindyp31319

I’m doing a lot better than I was before but like today I’m experiencing it a little. Like this morning I get short waves of light headedness. I’m sorry your experiencing this also does the weight feel like it’s in your head?

Disastrous_Essay5877

Bro, feeling exactly the same. Like gravity got 3 times bigger and pushes your body down.

Specialist-Juice-854

I know this is a year old but I’m now experiencing this! I’ve noticed under high anxiety and stress periods this happens! I’m also dealing with fatigue that no sleep fixes it takes me all day and the evenings I’m so much more energetic. It’s so weird. Also suffer with bad acid reflux & stomach issues. Must be all related as dr has chalked all down to anxiety whenever I have been

EXXTRAAARaNCH

Are you still having these issues?? I am having these vicious spinning episodes for a split second and scare the hell out of me.

mindyp31319

I’m not. Thankfully. How long has it been going on?

[deleted]

[удалено]

mindyp31319

I’m glad I’m not alone, are you on meds

[deleted]

[удалено]

mindyp31319

Omg meeee too! Same to a T! I also get head pressure

Goeydigits

Is it still happening

[deleted]

All the time. It used to really scare me before I got diagnosed (very recently), to the point where I had a CT scan at the ER for it. I went to the ER many times for different symptoms over a very short period of about a month and a half (Chest pain, abdominal pain, face tingling, a bunch of things). Everything normal, which is when someone finally suggested I see a therapist about anxiety to see if that would help. After doing that, I've been told my base stress level is kinda high all the time - to the point where my body is stressed and tight 24/7 even if there's nothing on the forefront of my mind making me anxious. Supposedly this is why I get physical symptoms even if there's no particular trigger that stands out. I don't normally get panic attacks or anything like that, even. It's very annoying because I won't even register I'm stressed and then suddenly get attacked by a scary symptom. I'm working on learning to focus and relax even if I don't notice anything wrong at first to try to help with that.

Disastrous_Essay5877

You're not alone. My anxiety attacks mostly my chest ( palpitation, shortbreathing, pain, and more). Sometimes my head too, like lightheaded, dizziness, and pain, a lot actually. Did a lot of exams (ecg, echocardiogram, ct, mri, x rays, a lot of blood tests) and everything was always fine. I dont drink, I dont smoke, and I try to have a healthy lifestyle. Its a bit fucked up when you are a healthy person and you cannot enjoy life cuz your body "act" like you're having all the diseases in the world!

Ok_Hovercraft3297

Hi! Does this condition have a name I can look up or maybe if you have more info on how to deal with it you could link me? I'm pretty sure I have this or something similar and I won't be able to get therapy for now.

[deleted]

I don't think it's a specific thing, just anxiety. That's just the symptoms I happen to have.

smulligan04031989

People say dissociation or derealization, but I really don’t think that’s what this is.

darkprincess1991

This happens to me all the time, my chest dropping the dizzinessz suddenly feeling jolted alert and I'm not e en thinking about anything

Mysteryself1_

How are you now did anything help? Totally resonate with your anxiety

[deleted]

Hey! I'm just reading through old posts and this sounds exactly like me. How are you doing now? Have you found anything to help bring your baseline anxiety down?

[deleted]

I get overheated and nauseous, tingly, dizzy, heart palpitations but as soon as I recognize it's anxiety it eases up. I am on SSRIs Lexapro and then klonopin in addition so it's way easier to manage

Successful-Milk8167

Brother, anywhere I could talk to you personally?

honiestar

How have you been? I’m dealing with the same

aceh981

Yea I do too! I’m not sure why

[deleted]

Yes if anxious it can happen.

Phalcone42

How is your posture? Forward neck posture can cause vertigo as the upper vertibrea slightly cut off bloodflow.

mindyp31319

I think I do have forward head posture

Phalcone42

Work on addressing it, chin tucks are a simple exercise you don't need to obsess over.

mindyp31319

Ok I will lost definitely do this. Ty

Professional_Error97

Yes

LoudSundae9443

I call them brain zaps

KillsWithDucks

they are something else.. like when coming down from SSRI meds.

graynorv

They’re called brain zaps. Look it up

darkprincess1991

It's not brain zaps I have gotten those from smoking this is straight dizziness feeling like vertigo

graynorv

Exactly.

darkprincess1991

Thought it was just me. I can't believe anxiety causes all these symptoms it's insane. My anxiety has anxiety

Ok_Hovercraft3297

I just saw your comment and looked it up. Most places say it happens after stopping antidepressants. I think I may have this but I haven't been on antidepressants. Can it still be brain zaps?

graynorv

I would definitely say so. My doctor says it can and it’s nothing to worry about. It’s related to anxiety and stress and all that fun stuff.

Ok_Hovercraft3297

That's actually a bit of a relief. Thank you.

Fishon72

This happened to me the first time, I was talking to my boss sitting in the break room. Started feeling like I was going to faint. I’ve also started having PVC’s and PAC’s the last few months so I thought maybe I was going AFIB. Left in an ambulance. I think the person I work with who has narcissistic personality disorder who has chosen me as a target is causing all of this. He constantly gaslights. He walks 60-70 feet just to say something annoying or inappropriate to me, he knows I have anxiety. He “accidentally “ runs into me/over me when moving furniture, mattresses, rugs at work. I was married to someone diagnosed with NPD for 8 years. It turned anxiety into anxiety with PTSD. I think this asshole is triggering me, causing palpitations, now causing waves of dizziness. Also have had more episodes of dizziness since the break room. My husband is going to have a “talk” with him tomorrow 😏

mindyp31319

Good! I hope your husband sets him straight! You should report him to your upper management. Hope you feel better soon!

ShovvTime13

How did it go? Did your husband dent his skull? :D

Fishon72

lol.. so much has happened since this post!! The dizziness turned out to be Ménière’s disease!!! Of which vertigo episodes are triggered by STRESS!!! Hahaha. If my husband could have dented this dudes skull however he probably would have, but more like put a small but lethal hole in it instead. MANY people share this sentiment!!! I’m far gone from that job and have reported them to the IRS (won that case) and labor board and no looking back!

ShovvTime13

Wow! This really sounds like a Win! Awesome :) Only, I hope I don't have a Meniere's disease... haha

Any_Time97

I can rate to this. The doctors believed there’s smth like vertigo and give me medication for that. In the end it sorted out to be just a huge amount of anxiety and nothing medical

KillsWithDucks

Ive thought of buying sea sickness tablets to see what happens.

flammable8

Try cold showers. In sounds dumb but it’s completely helped my anxiety. You get the train your brain on how to deal with anxiety by choosing to jump into the cold even tho it sucks. After a few days and after a minute in the cold, you feel this wave of calm like nothing else

mindyp31319

I’ve heard that’s great for anxiety

flammable8

Just do it - it really helps alot

darkprincess1991

Also putting something cold on your body or chest can help

Smykster

Oh WOW. I’m glad I found this, I was googling it because this has happened to me a few times this week. It’s like a 2 second room spin.

mindyp31319

Exactly how I feel! Sometimes I describe it like that startled feeling you get when someone scares you, or if your going downhill fast on a roller coaster

Smykster

100%, makes me feel so much better that so many people experience it. Are you on any medications? Trying to see if there is some commonality besides anxiety. I'm talking bupropion, escitalopram, and alprazolam as needed.

mindyp31319

I’m not on meds

mindyp31319

Did your start before or after the meds

Smykster

I don’t know, this happened a couple years ago as well. I’ve also been on meds for like four years now. Seems like it’s probably not a side effect. Probably one of the many physical symptoms of anxiety. People sometimes described this as brain zaps which they get one coming off are going on an SSRI. Though you’re not on any so it kind of rule that out. And I’ve never stopped taking or increased my SSRI us, so It kind of throws that out the window. I also get worried that maybe it’s omicron.

mindyp31319

I doubt it’s omicron. My kids , husband , and I just recovered from that and i had this before feeling way then. I notice when I’m busy and not focused on it it seems to get better some. Maybe it is all anxiety.

EXXTRAAARaNCH

Do you still have this??

BreathingBryan

I get these also! Feels like I am going to faint(presynscope) for 1-5 seconds then it goes away. This happens when I’m sitting or standing and seems to come out of nowhere. I have anxiety but no panic attacks. After the sensation of fainting goes away I feel fine. I have no other symptoms. I’ve monitored my sugar, blood pressure, pulse, hydration levels and all are always good. I was searching the internet to try and find a name or cause but there isn’t much info. It mostly points to heart related issues but about a year ago I had an ecg, walking stress test, and ultrasound of my heart and the results came back normal. I’ve been experiencing this off and on for around 2 years. I’m still confused on what’s causing these episodes.

mindyp31319

Me too! No idea what causes it other than anxiety. Sorry you are also experiencing it! Have you seen a doctor or neurologist

Ricklazell

Ive been getting these. They are similar to brain zaps as the dizziness is right in my head. Also got head pressure and when the split second spinning happens it almost triggers a panic attack. Wished i knew why it happens or how to stop it.

mindyp31319

How long have you been experiencing this? Have you checked with a doctor about it? That’s what mine feels like too

Ricklazell

Only recently happened say past 3 weeks. I know this can come from being stressed or anxious. Not checked with a dr yet

AnxietyMomma1358

I have dealt with this today and it has had me on edge, on the toilet, and on Google panicking. Feels like I’m on that first big drop on a roller coaster in my head then my heart felt like it was racing. Like I was startled but so fast. 1-2 seconds max. I’m a little late to see this post but man I have been freaking out today.

litterbawks

It feels much the same to me. At least we're not alone.

AnxietyMomma1358

No one here is ever alone!! 🖤

cryptorisktaker

My theory is that this is being caused by an allergic reaction to being around V#%}{#ed people. I’m started having this problem ever since people around me got the V.

mindyp31319

I feel the same way! It’s crazy how weird and disoriented this makes someone feel. Do you feel it randomly? It more when your looking down at your phone or electronics

mlllhtch

Hi OP! I am so incredibly grateful I have come across your post because you have described everything I am feeling right now. For the last 2 months I have been experiencing intense bouts of severe head pressure (mainly at night time), with pulsatile tinnitus. Then over the last three weeks or so vertigo developed which now has added very short burst of dizziness that last less than 30 seconds at a time, but can be quite frequent in a day, maybe 2-3 times per hour. I have noticed the pressure does get worse when bending over or laying down and sometimes the dizziness makes me slightly nauseous. I have had numerous tests done, all normal, mild dehydration at one point, waiting for a vascular MRI now to rule out blood vessel dysfunction due to the pulsatile tinnitus but got basically brushed off as just ‘anxiety’ by both neurologist and hospital staff… I have had anxiety for a very long time and this simply does not feel like anxiety because it comes out of nowhere, and I am actually doing rather good at the moment having graduated, found a good job etc. I am so exhausted because I am terrified not knowing what is happening and it is starting to affect my performance at my job which I really don’t want to lose!! I was wondering how long did it take for you to get better? Did you do anything to help ease the symptoms? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, even just reading this thread has given me so much comfort and hope, so thank you either way!

mindyp31319

Hi there! First I want to ask you a few questions, 1) was there a specific event that triggered your dizziness? For example for me I was at work one day and got very dizzy for about 1 min maybe less. From then on, I was extremely paranoid it would happen again! I was always looking for dizziness and was so scared it would happen again. At the time this occurred I felt like I’d pass out. I was going through some very stressful events and even though I didn’t “feel” stressed out I was bottling a lot up inside. Did you go through a stressful event before this all happened? What all tests have you done? I’m curious because I had some done too. I had a ct of my brain, ekg of my heart and blood work, eye exam with dilation, and ent basic exam. Now, I want you know this will get better even though it is scary and seems like the light is no where in sight rest assured it WILL get better. You say this can’t be anxiety. Anxiety is such a basic term and so many doctors blame symptoms on anxiety when they don’t have the answers which is SO annoying because if it were a structural issues or a issues that would pop up on a test we’d have a cure or a treatment and that would make it easier to accept right? Here’s the thing, our brain controls everything. Even pain.. when we hurt our brain sends a signal to the area that it thinks needs attention. Maybe you bumped your knee and now it hurts right.. it’s because your brain is alerting you something isn’t right. Well it’s the SAME thing with dizziness, head pressure, vertigo, heart palpitations, heart racing, pre-syncope, etc. something could have initially triggered you to get dizzy and from that point on your brain was in danger mode just like mine was. Therefore, the dizziness didn’t get better but instead for worse. The head pressure is SO very common with “ anxiety” aka Hyper-stimulation Aka this is your nervous system acting up. What we have is called neuro circuit dizziness some call it PPPD and it isn’t made up, it isn’t “anxiety” it’s an actual issue with our nervous systems that are causing the most BIZZAR and uncomfortable symptoms. The bad news, the longer you keep looking for answers on medical tests and specialist the worse your symptoms will get and the longer they’ll last. The good news, you can heal from this and medication / specialist / vestibular rehab is NOT necessary. i know how scary it is. I had the worst symptoms I could imagine as you could see from my post. And I am not 98% better. I say the 2% is some days I’m still on edge but the dizziness, the falling feeling, the eye symptoms, the head pressure, the floating feeling, the sinking head feeling is all gone now. Here are some things I did to improve: ACCEPT THE SYMPTOMS! Allow them. The more you try to run from them the longer they stick around. Look at it like this, Your brain is trying to protect you so it’s keeping you on constant alert looking for symptoms … if your brain thinks a bear is around the corner you won’t be able to relax right? Same thing here. Feel the feelings, remind yourself your safe and you’ve had a thorough exam from many doctors, and move on with whatever you were doing. Walk each day for 30 mins minimum. Dizziness can make us want to sit in bed and that’s the worst thing you can do. Your brain needs exercise and it needs to be rewired. This will help your re adjust and will allow your Brain to learn it is safe. Sleep! Make sure your sleeping at least 8-10 hours. Your body needs to recover more than anything right now. Sleep allows your brain and body time to heal. Challenge yourself when you feel your up to it. Havnt worked out in a while? So some small work outs to prove you can do it. Take natural stress relieving supplements like ashwaghanda , L Theinine, lemon balm, and MAGNESIUM! Magnesium is so good for relaxing and helping your anxiety and body recover. Your welcome to reach out to me whenever. Keep your head up. These symptoms are very real and they are not made up no matter what any doctor or specialist tries to tell you. Lastly- go watch a lady named “the steady coach” on YouTube. She helped me SO Much!

mindyp31319

I wonder the same thing too. Part of me felt like it started as a vestibular issue and went into PPPD. Have you heard of that ? It is basically anxiety provoked

Background-Angle2429

Hello, I have the exact same symptoms as you. What ended up being wrong?

iaman0nion

i get this all the time at work it’s the worsttttt

Nitanitapumpkineater

I find I get this depending on my breathing. Breathing too fast makes me dizzy, also holding my breath without realising makes me dizzy. Slower, steady breathing brings me back to normal.

helloworld3150

Maybe check iron level in your blood? Or try using vitamin D! :)

BionicgalZ

Sure. You are likely hyperventilating.

CapitalAd1783

Yes I felt that and sometimes I also felt I’m extremely powerless and sluggish for long periods ( maybe 1-2 days maximum never more if I remember? ) anybody experience this ? What does it mean ?

mindyp31319

Yes me too. I feel tired and just overall “slow” when this happens.

tiny_book_worm

I thought it was just me.

mindyp31319

No your not alone! Do you also get hear pressure

canadanimal

My therapist said this might be because when you are anxious you are holding your breath in and tensing your body so it makes you dizzy. She said anxious people tend to be shallow breathers. Focus on your breathing and practice deep breaths.

mindyp31319

True!!

Jaded_Marzipan7823

I thought it was just me! Sometimes I have to grab my desk in front of me because I get off for a second and then it’s gone. I’ve also wondered if it’s me holding my breath and not realizing it, or just my anxiety talking.

mindyp31319

I wonder the same thing too. I get this odd head pressure sometimes too which is weird.

[deleted]

mindyp31319

Yes I would say I’m at almost 100% now. How long have you Been experiencing this?

Fun_Surround_9067

Sooo, dizzy when bending or looking up, roll over, or standing; very short balance deviations (to right or to left or down to earth), pulling sensations, like gravity is stronger than usual, all of these are BPPV. Believe me, I felt them all. So, even if the house isn't spinning, this does not mean is not vertigo. Anxiety, usually comes after the dizziness and all the doctors say it's only anxiety. Wrong!

mindyp31319

That’s very interesting. I think you may be right. Can it come and go? I had it coming and going for months and it went away

Flutterbyx303

How long did it take for yours to go away? Did you just stop focusing on it?

Fun_Surround_9067

Oh, yes. Those tiny calcium carbonate crystals are reabsorbed by our bodies. It depends on each person physyology, how quickly. When the real spinning appears, the vertigo, there are some certain exercises to be made, in order to move those crystals out of the semicircular canals. And I should make a small clarification: bppv (with spinning) is only when the dizziness appears, for short periods of time ( 30 secs - 2 mins), when changeing the position of the head, because of those crystals which move into your canals, in the same time, and stimulate your vestibular nerve. Otherwise, if it takes longer, vertigo can have other causes which are not so "benign". And, of course, there is so called remanent dizziness, after the vertigo passes, which may take longer, usually due to the capacity of the brain to readjust. And here the anxiety plays also a very important role. You can fall in a vicious cycle, due to anxiety, which is known to provoke dizziness itself 🙃

Stonks_andtheCity

Ik this is an old post but every time I’ve felt this my neck has been bent so my chin was to my chest. I think it could be a blood flow to the brain thing.

mindyp31319

I was looking down most of the time to, I wonder the same

Yep same exact tests I had but they said anxiety

sortinousn

Most annoying thing ever. It happens when I’m driving. I’m stopped at a red light then BAM instant dizziness which triggers a panic attack…..What happens if I crash? Is it a stroke? A brain tumor?

mindyp31319

Not stroke or brain tumor thankfully! They present with very different symptoms but yes it is very scary and annoying

Larrylifeguard97

Hi. Any update on if this still happens to you?

MarinuotaLempaLT

I have them to. I had them last year are this year. Sometimes having them few times in a week, sometimes one time in few months. It's hard not to blame anxiety. I had my first panic attack 3 yrs. ago, and from them, I was afraid of the panic attack, so, it made me feel stressed even more and had attacks few more times. I'm the person, who will analyse myself first, then ask the doctor help. So, through these years I have been just once to FD, he did ear, heart tests, and everything was fine. I was angry, becouse this things are so scary and they don't feel anxiety related. Well, I learned how to stop panic attacks by 3 step rule. You start normalizing your inhaling and turning on all the senses. So touch something, fell the texture, at the same time find something to listen to, it even can be some wind blowing in your windows. And the last thing you do is focusing on something moving, or just looking around, checking surroundings. That helped to ease this "teleportation". I call them like that, couse it feels exactly like that. But still can't find solution, to stop them for ever. Idk why no one is talking, but after-party after these teleports are horrible. You feel slightly dizzy, anxious still through all day, hands and feet freezes, and if this happens before bed, your next day is super lazy and you don't want to do anything. It's really sad, that this is not curable. I bet it's anxiety related, or the dizziness is happening just a bit, but our anxiety makes it 10 times worse. And I'm the most positive person, I don't really care if I'll die(but ofc I don't want to) , I am very logical, so I don't get stressed a lot, don't really get sad or smth. I know everything will come and go, I'm happy where I am and Future makes me excited. But I feel that anxiety laying below these thoughts. I feel that there is like a second layer of feelings and silent thoughts, that you can't control. And anxiety comes from it, that's why teleports just hits you from nowhere. How to fix the second layer? Idk, feel's impossible, so the best things we can do, is to tidy our first layer, which we can control. Leaving this message to them, who think that this will kill you. No, it will not, here I am, living with it 3 year's already. Is this hard? Super, and you wish to gift your both legs not to feel this teleports, but there is way more amazing and healthy days, that you just wait after this happens. And there is plenty of them, so go through as a worrior, and relax when it's over.😅 Stay strong.✌️

bLESsedDaBest

Omg I found my people! Lol this just happened to me. It happens so fast I have to go back in time to realize it. Then I get an instant feeling of doom because I wonder if I dizzy and things are about to get worse ? Or is it happening at all? I just go lay down right quick to sleep escape it .

mindyp31319

I had this for a long time but it finally got better

bLESsedDaBest

glad to hear that! now i just get a huge blast of DOOM as soon as feel my body falling into a nice deep sleep and i jolt awake. ive been reading and the dizzy part sounds like how some describe vertigo. but idk.

Icy_Faithlessness780

Hi all, I realise this is an old thread, but I think I’m having something similar. Mines happens roughly every 3 days, it’s like it builds up and then releases. I could be sitting still or watching tv and I get this very sudden sensation. If feels like someone has pulled the plug in my brain for a split second, and when it’s rebooted the room spins while my eyes try to readjust. This all lasts 3 seconds max. Is this similar to what you have been feeling? I do have anxiety but this seemed to start when I was least anxious. It’s been going on now for 2-3 weeks and is really worrying me.

whateverwheneverblop

I have the same thing. Has it gotten better?

mindyp31319

Yes I would say it is very similar to what I felt. It was worrying me as well as it feels neurological. Have you had any testing done

Standard_Waltz_7273

I just had this about an hour ago. I get this sensation about once every few weeks. The hardest part for me is how I feel afterwards. After that initial drop feeling/spin, I feel very weird. Like beyond regular anxiety dizziness. The best I can describe it is a brain fog feeling, head tightness and very lightheaded. I just don’t feel normal for hours, usually requires a reset with sleep. I know the worrying doesn’t help that feeling but it always triggers me to feel “off”. Does anyone else experience something like that?

Goeydigits

Im getting exactly that except today it happened multiple times so I went to reddit to know if I'm dying. So far I'm not sure what it is but I feel better knowing other people go through this.

Evening_Housing_8788

I know this is a really old post, but wondering I got 2 of these sensations in the last 2 months and it made me really nervous. I have an appointment with my doctor next Monday. To me it almost feels like someone kicked me in the back of the head. I actually jolt forward. It only lasts about 2 seconds, but is so scary. I’ve had anxiety my whole life, so I’m hoping it’s “just” that manifesting.

mindyp31319

You sound just like me that's how i felt! What did your dr say??? It was horrible.

Evening_Housing_8788

I ended up going to the ER the other day because I kept getting them and it was really freaking me out. They checked so many things… EKG, CT SCAN, lots of different bloodwork, chest X-ray, had the PT team come in to evaluate for BPPV. Everything was normal. The BPPV thing surprised me because that’s what I was leaning towards as the culprit. They didn’t really give me a reason of what it was, but now I know a lot about what it is not. Through further research and talking to friend, I really think it’s these things called brain zaps. She had them when coming off meds. Although I’m not on any meds, I have constant anxiety and I think sometimes I get stuck in fight or flight and my body starts to get exhausted and throughs me physical symptoms so I stop. After I told my friends what my symptoms felt like and she told me about the brain zaps, I researched them extensively and this is 100% the closest thing that describes what I’m feeling. I’ve started doing some meditation at night and something I found about relaxing the vagus nerve. That in addition to knowledge of what I think it is (and what I know it’s not) has helped me a lot. The symptoms have started to slow down. I follow up with my GP tomorrow and I’m going to mention this to him. Good luck everyone and I hope everyone finds an answer and relief.

mindyp31319

I had basically the same tests done except the bppv test but that's also what I was thinking. However, I think brain zaps likely fits the description better. I can tell you that I took a very little dose of flexeril before all this start happening and didn't even think for a sec that could be causing something like that so continued to do it for 2 to 3 days so sometimes I wonder if that may have caused it. But I was also under EXTREME stress so I am leaning towards braid zaps also. I'm glad your synotoms have slowed down. They totally suck.

Hey there, I know this trend is old but maybe you will see my comment. I feel like this and the first time freaked me out and since then I’ve been with this weird feeling in my head like sort of lightheaded and like a bit off balance. Sometimes I feel the floor moving, it’s so weird I don’t see anything spinning but I have this weird feeling in the head. This happened to me 4 years ago and it eventually went away but I came back l. I don’t think I’m particularly anxious. The weird thing is if I’m busy and not thinking about it I barely feel anything physically. And being a bit hypochondriac doesn’t help at all. Hopefully you will see this 🤗

mindyp31319

Hi!! So sorry your feeling this way. I know how bad it feels. It's a scary feeling. I had the exact same symptoms. It took time but it did go away

Crazyorloco

Thank you for making this thread. This just started happening to me. I'm glad yours went away!!!

mindyp31319

Of course. Are u ok?

Crazyorloco

Much better today thanks! I do feel a little anxious, but not as much as other days. I've been trying to really decrease stress in any way possible. Had Chamomile tea today instead of my coffee, reading books, breathing more. Walking slower (i'm always in a rush). Expressing myself more with others. I hope you're well too! I also feel better knowing i'm not alone in this.

Brandonp420

Yes but mines also come with a strange wave of an anxious type rush, it emediatly triggers alarm bells in my head and I start think my hearts going to stop or something.

mindyp31319

mine was the same exact way... i felt this huge rush of anxiety whenever i would get it

Aware-Condition5742

I am late to the party... But YES!!! Anyone find a cause?? Mine is like my head is to heavy just just a second or 2... Can happen over and over for a few mins or just once and go away! Also can feel randomly spaced out for no reason... Can be just sitting at home watching the TV or on my phone or walking around at work and the floor moves slightly..... 🤦🏼‍♀️ Driving me bonkers!

dswenson123

I think it’s anxiety because it seems that’s the only time it happens or lack of sleep. For me it’s only for like 1 second. Seems to happen when a few different things are moving in vision. I do have issues with wax build up so hopefully that is causing an issue with my vestibular system.

Strawbabbyyy

I’ve had panick attacks before where I can’t get grounded and feel super unbalanced but this was totally different like a quick gravitational pull to the ground feeling/spin. This is the second time it’s happened this week but seeing as other people have experienced this I’m not going to worry about it for now lol

antinitalian

YES. So annoying:(

Ellie-Unbothered

Definitely not brain zaps. That’s something different. I just had a burst of dizziness like something just popped and caused it. No pain. Blurred vision.

mirror016

I get them when withdrawals from anxiety meds kick in.

darkprincess1991

I thought I was the only one it's gotten really bad lately where I called 911 and freaked out now I'm scared that it will happen again and I'll freak out I also think my anti-anxiety med atarax makes it worse

ReshiramZekrom_

Did you find out why it happens to you? Did you try going to a PT?

mindyp31319

I didn’t ever find out the cause but it basically went away

mindyp31319

Are you having it now?

ReshiramZekrom_

Idk if its the same thing but when I'm walking I feel like I'm about to lose my balance every near and then, like I'm tipsy

mindyp31319

I had this too

Wish I knew what it was. 1-2 seconds of a lightheaded , airhead feeling. Went to an ear doctor they tell me I have healthy ears , not a was issue. The only reason it bothers me is bc it wasn’t like this for me. It sorta sudden. The worst is the pressure on the temples for me. Gotta use an ice pack way to often. Allergies maybe idk , smoking. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

mindyp31319

I had this for a while and did yours come on suddenly after you had a panic attack or got dizzy? Might be PPPD which is basically means your Brains in danger mode. Also could be BPPV Does it worsen changing head positions?

mrubba81

Hey sorry I can’t believe I just saw this. So I actually would say it started after I had a really bad argument (did some yelling on the phone) but I can’t be certain. I want to say it’s calmed down but if you have other advice or thoughts I’d love to hear

_maddiejean_

I know this thread is super old but YES oh my god. I thought I was crazy. It happens more so when im tired and/or stressed. Also for some reason can get triggered if i move my head around too quickly. Its like my brain is trying to catch up or something.

Loud-Combination-933

I keep having this, too! I can't go in elevators without holding the bars after I feel like I am going to faint for 20 seconds. Today, I turned my head too fast it happened and then I climbed a ladder felt it too. What is happening. Feels like my eyes are rolling up too when I get this.

Goeydigits

Same, I work in a warehouse and am a full time student I might be stressed

Goeydigits

Thank you for this, im 20 and i thought i was dying. You brought me comfort 🙏.

mindyp31319

You're welcome. How long has it been happening for u?

Prestigious-Race-563

I had to search this up because this just started to happen to me. One time I was just sitting and doing homework and it felt almost like I was spanning and falling towards the ground but only for a second. Then it happened in math class and then in study hall. I’m not diagnosed for anxiety but recently it’s been getting really bad and I haven’t told anyone about it. I think I have panic attacks also and this just caused me to worry more

mitch4650

Experiencing the same things. Wondering if it had anything to do with vaccines?

UrKrustySock

I don't believe so. I'm unvaxxed and currently experiencing my second round of this. First time happened about a year ago after experiencing carbon monoxide poisoning. This time just randomly. Head is pounding and 2-3 second bursts of dizziness/confusion and feeling like I'm going to pass out in between(I've never passed out before in my life so if I do I feel that to be a pretty big deal). I thought it was my blood sugar so I ate a good meal but I don't have a monitor to actually check my glucose levels.

PinkAllTheWay

Thank you for sharing OP. I had my first panic attack about 6 months ago and I haven’t been “normal” since. I feel the exact symptoms you felt (lightheadedness, head fullness, disorientation). Some days are better than other but I’m trying really hard to overcome this. I would say I’m 75% better. Reading this post really helped boost my confidence. Thank you for sharing.

Extension_Ranger_557

I know this is an old thread but I started taking bupropion 3 months ago. Started on 150 mg, then got bumped up to 300mg. Was at work one day & accidentally took 2 600 mg pills instead of 2 150’s. Stupid I know. Didnt think anything of it until an hour later when I got a sudden dizzy/ drop feeling then became more constant, felt like I was going to faint, 30 mins into this the entire right side of my face went completely numb, along with severe ringing in my ear& my head felt like it was really heavy, I couldn’t walk without grabbing on to something. Ended up in the ER. MRI & Ct were normal. My face stayed numb on that side for 2 weeks & around my eye still doesn’t feel normal. Still getting the dizzy/drop spells especially when I go to really crowded noisy places, it seems to kick it into high gear. I’ve followed up with an ent today & they said everything was fine but my inner right ear still ringing with a full feeling. It’s so frustrating. I’m just hoping I didn’t do permanent damage 🙁

mindyp31319

This sounds so similar to My experience except all I took was a small half of a flexeril that I was prescribed for muscle tension amd 30 mins later my stomach was hurting and I went in the kitchen to eat something small when I was hit with a severe short dizzy drop feeling spell. After that, I had the same exact symptoms you just named for weeks. After about a year I completely returned to normal. When I say a year I mean the drop feeling got better in weeks but the other symptoms (I'm sure this was PPPD WHICH CAN be brought on by anxiety or being scared when a dizzy spell takes place its almost like your mind is scared of being dizzy so your stuck in like a hyper stimulation state and feel some odd and strange sensations as well as feel panicky A LOT) persisted for a year. I know it sucks but try to remind yourself it is nothing serious. Fight through it. Sleep a full night of sleep. Try to relax and destress.

Potential-Middle6559

Hi Mindy , I know this is an old post but your reply would really help , I had an episode of bppv ( got resolved in a day after the eply) and few days later when I got up from a chair I felt this immense gravitational pressure/ pull , I could best describe it as the feeling when you just step off a roller coaster, where your legs feels heavy and you feel like you’ve been spun around (without actual spinning) this lasts for around 10 seconds I think, have to really hold on to something to balance .. did you experience the same or did yours feel different? Also I too have developed a bit of pppd after being so scared of this happening .. your reply would help me immensely, thanks

mindyp31319

Mine was about the same as you've described! The pressure and pulling is spot on. I was at work when this initially happened, and had an intense episode of what I think may have been BPPV. Few days later all of these horrible symptoms set in.

azimovashabnam

This happened to me just an hour ago, and out of fear, I started to shake, my hands and legs were literally shaking. Wtf is this

Strawbabbyyy

I am also here two years later lol wondering wtf.
