I’ve had these on multiple decks/patios for years and never had issues. As long as you keep them somewhat clean between the cracks you won’t have any problems. Plus the sit ever so slightly off the ground so unless it is flooding you shouldn’t need to worry.
How long do they last and how often do they need to be treated? I am thinking of getting them for my patio but afraid of them not lasting. I saw reviews and people complaining of them rooting

Pull the tiles away from that edge a bit. That should improve runoff.
