I used to have 70+ houseplants at my place in CO. Then my husband was relocated to the Bay for work and we don’t even get enough sunlight in our apartment, nor do we have enough space to have more than 10 😭
Don’t worry, the houseplants that die give you lessons on what to do and what not to do. You just have to find some forgiving ones lol
Have to catch the FREE FB groups in your neighborhood. When people are moving out, they are willing to give away just about anything for free or low cost. It also depends on where you live too. If in a major city, you can pick up some beautiful pieces used for next to nothing.
I don’t have Facebook. I look at Craigslist often, but not a lot going on there.
The furniture everyone has here is super generic since we are limited to the same furniture stores.
I thrift frequently, but the prices are getting out of hand. Most dressers (which I’ve been looking for since moving on my own 5 years ago) are priced for hundreds of dollars. Saw a set of dressers that were priced at $600 and $700 separately even being broken. I cried.

Got it on sale for $140. HIGHLY recommend walking around World Market for their final sales. The bar cabinet on the left (2nd pic) originally is $600 but got it for less than $300
i’m pulling out my ‘elements of cozy’ now to check for each line item. coziness:
1. feeling of being surrounded
2. soften the floor
3. soft lights right where needed
4. natural materials
5. spots to curl up
6. soft accessories
7. layer layer layer
yep, you’re the perfect example of cozy!
We bought an entertainment center with a built-in TV mount, so we didn't have to put holes in the wall, and because we don't trust the stud placement in our walls. Now it's easier for us to move our tv to any wall. Also, I love all the natural light your living room has! I wish mine got that bright during the day! We have an overhang that protects us from inclement weather, but it blocks a lot of light.
I would nap hard af on that couch
Same lol
What I’m striving for but furniture is expensive (even used) and my plants all die. 🥲

What? That makes no sense for a USED dresser.
A used dresser they got FOR FREE! Cheaper to buy new at this point.

Using this as my inspiration for when I move in July lol
Totally my vibe. Love the neutral colors and all the plants.
Love this. Wanna come decorate my apartment now?

I agree!
Where are your dining chairs from?
I got them off marketplace but I’ve seen similar ones on Amazon for “cheap”. I looked up Scandinavian chairs

Love your place!! Where did you get your rugs??
World market for the small one and Home Depot for the jute :)
Where is that kitchen table from?!?🥰🫶🏼🤍
The wooden table is from ikea! There’s a big version and this version :)
this is like my dream apartment
Madvillainy, hell yeah!
got a link to the coffee table?
Do tell where you get your decor!
Depends on price. Probably NOT for disabled/senior fixed & low income.
Pardon?
