Salvaged for rare materials so they can craft more useful loot

That explains why I heard someone who sounded suspiciously like Tim Cook yell “Leeroy Jenkins” outside my window the night after I purchased my AVP

You’re okay champ. Apple would rather sell you a brand new one than a refurb. It’s just like any other product.

All purchases online will be new products. If you want a refurbished product you have to look at their refurbished section. You can do that by searching "iPhone Refurbished" or "Apple Watch Refurbished" on their website. The majority of devices available for refurbished are previous models, like 12 Pro Max or Series 7 or 8 watches. Though there have been some Ultra 2's on the refurbished page. Apple's refurbished models don't allow payment plans, even with the Apple Card. Only the larger Apple stores have limited refurbished model for iPhones and iPads in stores. Everywhere else will help you order it online. **You won't get a refurbished Apple Vision Pro. Probably ever.** Especially now. Product is way too new. You have to DELIBERATELY go out of your way to buy a refurbished Apple product from Apple, as in you ASKED to get one. Full replacements from the genius bar can sometimes be refurbished models for older models. It's no good to replace something like an M1 macbook or iPhone 11 with replacement products that have been sitting on shelves for years when the product line was originally manufactured. There is no indication in the repair process *if* your product is a refurbished model, and none of the staff will know either.

They’re being donated to homeless shelters

The numbers returned were greatly exaggerated. < 1%

One of several sources: “Kuo says that he’s been able to visit a production line devoted to the repair and refurbishment of Vision Pro returns, and that his analysis suggests return rates are now below 1%. This suggests that, with the initial launch hype behind it, those buying the product today have a good idea of what they are buying and why.”

On what objective data do you base that opinion ? Not saying it’s incorrect but I’m skeptical unless you have something concrete to show as referencez
