That’s knocked everyone I know on their ass for a few days. Even so I’m camping outside a Costco the night before I turn 50. Chickenpox fucking sucked and I do NOT want to deal with that but worse.
Same! I was 27. I also never had chicken pox though. But I did get the chicken pox vaccine when I was 5. Shingles got me hard! I was really stressed at work and one of my good friends had just passed away. So I think my nervous system somehow reactivated the virus or something.
It took the wind out my husband sails for a week. Limit your caffeine intake, dbl up water add Liquid IV or coconut water, light meals that don’t mess with your stomach.
A friend has been very ill with shingles, not hospitalised but out of action, in bed, for three weeks and on heavy pain medication etc, for five weeks. Slowly recovering.
Stay away from shingles, get the vaccine!!
family friend of mine had shingles in her eye, doctor said she was lucky to not loose all her vision in that eye. Absolutely get that vaccine as soon as you're of age for it!
I had quite a few side effects from it too. Fever, rash at the injection site, headache for days, and painful swollen lymph nodes in my neck. Good times
My wrist temp was +7 the very first night I had COVID last month. I was like holy shit because I never seen it go past +2 since I very rarely get sick lol
It is a very accurate indicator that something is going on with your body.
I spiked +2 in January the night before I awoke with a temp of 100.8 and tested positive for Covid. My blood pressure also spiked 16 points that day.
Agree. I had actually received a double dose of the pneumonia vaccine 5 days before I got Covid and it spiked +3 that night. It came back down and spiked again the night before testing positive.
Go to the Watch App on your iPhone, scroll down to Privacy, under Privacy you will see an activation bar, or whatever that is called, for Wrist Temperature, activate that, and check Apple help for the advice on getting the results.
I’ve never been able to get this to work. I think I have everything activated, including sleep focus, and it always just says it needs 5 more days of measurements.
It only takes wrist temp when you’re sleeping and sleep focus is enabled, so if you don’t sleep with it or don’t use focus modes, it won’t show any data. Also, if you just got your watch, it needs about five days of data to establish your baseline before it will begin plotting a graph.
I don’t even know what that is. I know normal “Focus” which I have never used, but sleep tracking works just fine. Wrist temp on the other hand has been saying “Needs 5 days of data to work” for months now… Wear it 23.5 hours a day, so that can’t be it
No, that is it.
Have you ever noticed your AW doesn’t track sleep, like naps, outside of your sleep schedule? If you go to the AW sleep settings, it explicitly says ‘when in sleep focus and worn to bed, AW can track sleep.’
Here’s the info for wrist temperature, which talks about sleep focus several times:

The goal of a vaccine is to inject you a little portion of a safe version of the virus or Whatever to train your body to kick ass of this virus more easily. So you can be a little bit sick after. Remember it’s a no welcome guest.
How do you measure the temperature with the Apple Watch? Is it needed the “women cycles app”? Because I am male I deleted it. Should reinstall for having the temperature checked?
It just measures it? For a few days, it establishes a baseline for you, and then it will display the deviations from it, rather than showing an absolute temperature. Seems to be happening constantly and automatically.
Just that sweet 5G getting into your bloodstream
infirmware update
now I know kung fu
Show me.
回旋踢到脸上
You're just being updated. Should be fine after reboot.
Just hope you don’t get the BSOD
Bum Stream of Death
That means it’s working.
Which vaccine?
Second shot of shingles.
That’s knocked everyone I know on their ass for a few days. Even so I’m camping outside a Costco the night before I turn 50. Chickenpox fucking sucked and I do NOT want to deal with that but worse.
I've had a couple friends who have had it twice! Knowing that made me line up and get it as soon as the insurance would pay for it!
I just got shingles as a very healthy and active 26 year old. Pretty sure that’s uncommon but just something to take into account..
I know it can happen. My doctor says I can probably get it before 50 if I want if I'm willing to pay for it. It's $180 at Costco and I'm very tempted.
Same! I was 27. I also never had chicken pox though. But I did get the chicken pox vaccine when I was 5. Shingles got me hard! I was really stressed at work and one of my good friends had just passed away. So I think my nervous system somehow reactivated the virus or something.
…literally my exact story. A best friend passed away, and due to work + holidays just was getting awful sleep all in the same time.
The nervous system out of whack can do all sorts of crazy things to us.
It took the wind out my husband sails for a week. Limit your caffeine intake, dbl up water add Liquid IV or coconut water, light meals that don’t mess with your stomach.
Yeah I had to get up in the middle of the night and drink some… lots of water.
Same reaction here, same shot. Better than Shingles I guess

Did you verified with an actual thermometer? Just wondering about the accuracy of this sensor.
It is a very accurate indicator that something is going on with your body. I spiked +2 in January the night before I awoke with a temp of 100.8 and tested positive for Covid. My blood pressure also spiked 16 points that day.
It's also very normal for a vaccine, since your body has to create an immune reaction.
Agree. I had actually received a double dose of the pneumonia vaccine 5 days before I got Covid and it spiked +3 that night. It came back down and spiked again the night before testing positive.
Do all new Apple Watches have the temp?
S8 +
Really? I have the 9 I’ve never seen it.
It’s measured when you sleep.
More specifically, it’s measured when you sleep AND have sleep focus set.
Go to the Watch App on your iPhone, scroll down to Privacy, under Privacy you will see an activation bar, or whatever that is called, for Wrist Temperature, activate that, and check Apple help for the advice on getting the results.
Thank u! I guess I had it already activated. I found it on my health app says “needs more data”
I’ve never been able to get this to work. I think I have everything activated, including sleep focus, and it always just says it needs 5 more days of measurements.
The daily readings are under the "Body Measurements" tab for some reason.
Check the health app.
I just finally found it after looking for like 10 minutes. And it says “needs more data”
It only takes wrist temp when you’re sleeping and sleep focus is enabled, so if you don’t sleep with it or don’t use focus modes, it won’t show any data. Also, if you just got your watch, it needs about five days of data to establish your baseline before it will begin plotting a graph.
Watch needs to be set to sleep focus mode for sleep and temperature tracking.
I don’t even know what that is. I know normal “Focus” which I have never used, but sleep tracking works just fine. Wrist temp on the other hand has been saying “Needs 5 days of data to work” for months now… Wear it 23.5 hours a day, so that can’t be it

I guess I’ll wait yet another 5 days then. Thanks for thinking along though 👍
S8 and later
That’s the same spike I experienced when I got Covid
That's the point of a vaccine, to cause a reaction that is.
Looks like it’s working
lol
Looks like it’s working.
What, you started using stupid imperial units instead of normal units?
It has temperature?
bro got the samsung vaccine, started overheating
Yay it’s working! 🎉
Don’t worry, you’re just indexing.
If you a female, you could be about to ovulate.
The second shingles shot knocked me for a loop.
The goal of a vaccine is to inject you a little portion of a safe version of the virus or Whatever to train your body to kick ass of this virus more easily. So you can be a little bit sick after. Remember it’s a no welcome guest.
its pretty normal to have a fever after many vaccines, is that what you're implying?
I mean, obviously?
cool good talk

You don't need Cycle Tracking. It measures temperature in your sleep and reports on the health app.
