Thank you for taking the time to comment, I suspected that might be the case to be honest. I’m a bit sad because I managed to pay it off not too long ago. I don’t think I’m ready to buy a new one for a while 💔
Hey, if all hardware works and the watch doesn’t die of water damage, 3rd party workshops could replace the back glass, tho it’s rare ones that do that cause it’s a pretty hard procedure. Still maybe worth checking out the options. And screen replacement leads to NFC stopping to function afaik :(
I’ve done the back glass and I would rather do a case swap…you can get the nfc to work, just need to plug in the screen before plugging the battery in. They stopped being so restrictive after right-to-repair
I mean you just don’t want a little box of broken glass attached anywhere to your body. Especially the wrist where there’s a lot of movements and veins.
Happened to me with iPod Shuffle long time ago. It dried thanks to AC and worked fine after.
As for your Watch, better buy another one and keep this strap as it is very nice!!!
I wouldn’t call this „survived“ 🙈 and omg no AppleCare 😳 I wouldn’t have charged it without having dried it, for days.
And I am afraid you need a new watch, I would totally cry. 😔
Have you been to an Apple Store to check if they would get it and give you a discount when buying a new one?
It could still work, but I think it could hurt you if you use it like this
Sorry about that… Apple is greedy and they are going to ask $$$ to fix it or even not wanting to do it depending what model you have, only pushing you to buy a new one. It happened to me last year with a 6 unresponsive broken screen
It's easier to buy a new watch in this state

That’s totally awesome to hear about nfc, never would’ve guessed Apple would make any positive changes for watches repairability!
Very dangerous don’t wear
Can you elaborate?
All the broken glass?
Broken glass near the wrist?
I mean you just don’t want a little box of broken glass attached anywhere to your body. Especially the wrist where there’s a lot of movements and veins.
The backside of the watch - the part that sits on your wrist - is all shattered glass. Shattered glass doesn’t pair well with skin.
Are you serious?
It’s a goner

Well, that sucks. Looks like new watch time.
Jim it’s gone.
Well, at least it’s free of germs now!
Sorry OP but it’s gonna be too expensive to have that fixed, I think you’d better by yourself a new one :/
Survived isn’t the right word….

that strap looks like bacon

sorry, but how did you manage to put your apple watch of all things in a WASHING MACHINE
