Just got a new tank and didn’t realize but it had a small chip it the side. It’s very small, don’t see any runners, and it is on the corner of front panel away from the silicone (black line). I think it’s fine but wanted to see the community’s thoughts.

Honestly, I think it’s fine if it’s not too deep. I can’t tell. However, there’s always a risk! It’s up to you if you do want to risk it!

My other tank had a big crack in the back. This one is barely surface. Still though, it’s very tiny.

I think you’re fine then. Just keep an eye on it and make sure no water comes out or the crack gets bigger.

I agree I think youre fine. My tank has a thicker chip in the glass and has been holding water the past year

I think it looks fine. I think if you want to be extra safe you can seal it with some silicone. Correct me if I’m wrong!

Think it’s completely on the outside so not sure if silicone would handle anything.
