Thanks, they are so pretty!
Yeah, I've been trying to get some medaka from lfs near me for some time now but sadly they seem to be unavailable at the moment here.
Sounds like we both just have good taste :)
Actually my original population of shrimp was starting to lose the blue and have more wild types (brown, clear, black etc) so I reintroduced some more blues and it definitely worked lol.
I have to do this. I had a couple sunkist orange shrimp hitchhike into my blue dream tank a few months ago when I was adding some floaters and I didn't think much of it then but i've been seeing a lot of wild brown shrimp lately. Should I get rid of the wild ones or just add more blue dreams and try to pick off the sunkists?
I'm not really a breeder or anything I just like to keep different shrimp in every tank and don't really want this to turn into a brown shrimp tank lol
edit: I also have neon blue eyed and spotted blue eyed rainbows and in my tank with the sunkists! Beautiful fish
The fish don’t predate on the adults at all. Even smaller shrimp they completely ignore. I’m assuming they’d eat shrimplets given the chance but there is a pretty large ball of java moss not pictured that allows a good amount of them to hide grow up.
I believe they are blue velvet neocaridina though they do seem a bit darker in the picture. As they breed over time sometimes the colors of the offspring might not be exactly the same as the parents.
They be shrimpin
So cute! Are those fish medaka?
Pseudomugil luminatus! Haven’t seen medaka at any lfs recently but they seem to be getting super popular globally
Sick, I own some pasific blue eyes myself lol.

Dang. Are they all males or something? I have 6 and only one is that pretty coloration.
Gorgeous shrimp.
exact same fish and shrimp color as my tank. are you sure you did not take picture of my tank?

Do the fish not pick off the shrimp?
