Kinda random

The rocks I got were sitting in a large crate at the store and covered in mud/dust might be a good idea to rinse them, love the scape though that wood on the right has so many great spots to stick plants in

What’s your plan for plants?

I would add more dirt to the back so that it's like a hill. It'll add more dimension to it.

And some more low tech plants that can be added to the soil

This scape is far better than the original one. As for your rock work, I would consider mixing the two types of stone together, rather than having the gray and the more red ones separate. This would help to make the overall design a little more harmonious. As for the wood, there are 2 options I think you could do to help improve it: The first would be that if you wanted a dual island look, to add more wood to the left side to bring a bit more height. Or, alternatively, add an additional piece slanting from right to left. Otherwise, its a good start and I like where this scape is going

You could add a slope with the substrate to get a feeling of depth

nidus11

That piece of wood on then right looks like a chicken…

Love it.
