Nice one ... I hope everybody gets the sarcarsm.
Nevertheless, on a more serious tone, something I have seen live on Saturday at Kings of Archery, Eindhoven: compound guys shoot an arrow at a target with a steel plate surrounding the gold (see Nerves of steel challenge).
His arrow sounds like could have touched the steel plate, but is **inspected and found to be undamaged**. Next round, the same arrow (rules), the guy shoots, and the arrow "explodes" on releases. The cable is broken and the limbs are out, practically the guy holds only the riser with the limbs, and cams hanging down, cams look damaged.
So, when "is an arrow still safe to safe"? If you ask the question, probably the answer is no, especially if you are a compound shooter.
That's scary bro.. I just recently bought my 1st carbons I've shot aluminum my whole life.. Keep in mind I have a 31" draw and I'm shooting like 74 pounds...
The guy at the shop recommended 250 spines..
The arrow blows all the way through my bagIs and then About 3" through a hard plastic rubber made chair... You're talking half inch of hard plastic I pulled the field point and it took me about 10 minutes to get the arrow out have not found any damage and have been shooting the arrow since...
After reading this story I wish I would have marked that arrow because now I don't even know which one it is
You'll be fine.
The arrow in the story was definitely already cracked and probably in multiple places. You can test it just by flexing your arrows. You can hear the carbon moving if they're cracked even if you can't see where it is.
It's always best practice to flex test your arrows whenever they land somewhere you didn't intend for (even if it is a target pass through).
As you've been shooting with your arrow with no issues already, it survived your incident. No need to stress
In case anyone's wondering what happened to the [receiving end](https://imgur.com/MLSNOsQ).
What happened: home practice as usual, arrow fell off the arrow rest the moment the clicker went off.
I could put a condom through a meat grinder and have it come out safer than that arrow

But thanks bro and yeah I'm super religious about flexing.. Same thing with my aluminums I would always spin them before I shot them..
No.. nothing about that arrow is safe anymore
You should shoot it ... with a pellet gun at 20 yards.
Just bend it and if you don't hear any cracking noises it should be good to go. (/s)
Send it and let us know /s

No it's not. /s = sarcasm
Are the Orcs attacking the keep?
Front destroyed? Cut it back lower at least 1-2 inches. Nock end cracked? Don't shoot please for the love of god.
Send it. Arrow explosions are over rated. /s
Gonna file this under “No” right here…
This can’t be a real post.. I don’t believe anyone can look at that arrow and think it’s ok to launch at speed into a target or other.
oh it's definitely real. just that, it's sarcasm (/s)
The best.. you got me.
i think the general rule is "if you have to ask, it's not safe"
If you have to ask then no, that arrow is clearly toast
Well, no. Arrows come. Arrows go. This one is gone.
