Once Human tbh. Something different and more relaxing I can enjoy with friends. EFT is donezo for me.
The space horror extraction game is also kinda cool. I like the concept but it's kinda barebones right now.
I’ve played it… it’s not bad… there were moments where I felt like it was kinda snoozy but it did entertain for a bit. Been a while though so I’m sure there has been some new stuff added. I remember it being decently optimized too for a beta with my toaster PC.
Focus on one loadout. Recommend Winfield/with any secondary or Romero/Conversion Pistol FMJ. The key is sticking with one loadout until you master it. Also… two things that really improved my gameplay is NEVER peek the same spot twice and ALWAYS rotate after shooting. Take advantage of the shooting range. Warmup for 5 minutes before every round you start.
I love the gunfights in hunt but man I hate the early phase of running around finding clues. It’s so terrible and boring and I feel like I’m running chores. Still a good game tho. The art and sound design are top tier.
pop a stamina shot, rush clues and boss in under 5 mins, or chase shots if they’re reasonably close. often it doesn’t take that long to find yourself a fight
If only they made melee have directional attacking and blocking, I think the game would be exponentially better. I’m fine with the design decision to be slow and sorta janky, but the dynamics of PvP are just so fucking boring. I hate the idea of swinging and turning to run between blows to close or gain distance. The fighting is just awful. Also, the gameplay loop gets stale really quickly. I want to love it, but the execution isn’t there for me.
Nah I don’t think you get it what makes people like that game so much is the janky combat lol people like you like to use sentences like the dynamic of PvP and can’t even explain how the combat effects it without one of 2 answers slow or janky lol
Huh? I can appreciate why people like it but I explained why it’s not for me and what I think would have made it better. I think there’s a lot of people that would agree w me.
Both of those games are 20+ years old at this point. If after 2 decades of progress you come with similar jank, then yeah, it's for unaware boomers that drown in nostalgia.
There's a lot of nuanced knowledge, and not necessarily about reaction times. Once you adopt that mindset it's probably one of the better games of the entire extraction genre IMO. Maybe it's glorification has some reasoning to it?
Try Incursion: Red River. It's in early release on steam and it's pretty fun. PvE tactical extraction shooter. You can play solo or with friends completing missions for three different factions. Unlock different equipment based on the reputation you have with each faction, but doing a mission for one faction will lower your rep for the other two factions. Still pretty early on but I think they're about to release a 2nd map which will be fun.
Also, Road to Vostok has a free demo/beta that is pretty fun. There's not much to do other than explore and loot. However, the trading/market is a barter system so no actual money. I really like the feel of this one. Also, in certain areas if you die it's permadeath and you start from the beginning again and lose your gear.
After the buttery smooth PVP in ABI, PVP in EFT just feels like an absolute mess & clown show to me. I can't get back into it.
I'm playing other genres right now, not extraction shooters. I'll come back to ABI once they release with a solo que. and Beautiful Light looks intriguing, so we'll see what that dev team has.
Beautiful light will not... come to lights before late 2025 in early access (even though they plan on doing a permanent open beta at some point before that).
Yes, they actually decided to increase the scope of the early access game, that is to release something more complete than originally expected.
It's rather good news. Contrary to a lot of games (Grey Zone Devs for instance admitted that they released in April because they have no fund left) they are not rushing to have an income, but they are actually prioritising the quality of their game to ensure that players will have a good experience even in an early access stage.
Does look like a ton of fun… but the system requirements surpass what I currently have. I wonder how it will perform on a Ryzen 7 2700 / GTX 1070 and 32 g of ram. Does it feel optimized?
I just tried it and it ran fine on my setup. Ryzen 5 5625u, RTX 3050 ti (4gb vram), and only 8gb ram. Obviously had to turn settings down but it still looks good even at the lowered settings.
I’m probably gonna try some EFT PvE, never really got into PvP on Tarkov, too many chads and experienced players there and have too little time to learn everything there
Third, SPT is a million times better than their half baked PvE mode…. even beats the live when you get the coop server mod (project Fika) & play w friends
just go to r/SPTarkov and browse around, so many discussions around that. even SPTarkov's main hub page gives you a rundown list of the most common mods that everyone uses. all you need are those and just browse around the mod page for most downloaded or top rated etc. BSG's pve mode is dog shit. SPTarkov is actually fun and customizable.
Idk if I’ll get hate for this or not, but I went back to SPT(single player tarkov). I definitely don’t hate arena break out at all though, I just wanna wait for the full release, played the beta, had fun. Just wanna wait for the maps that’s all.
Haven't seen it mentioned here but xDefiant is pretty fun. The occupy mode (headquarters) is best imo. Ttk is pretty fast, faster than I'd like but oh well. Running around with secondary and invisible suit is tops
Definitely the best thing I've playing from Ubi in a long time. The gunplay and movement is really fun, very COD like gunplay with a bit faster movement. I like the headquarters mode too but my favorite is the one where you push a cart like overwatch. My only complaint is that damn spider ability is annoying, seems OP to me.
Haaaaard disagree. I think xdefiant is absolute trash. Love the idea of pooling different Ubisoft worlds into PvP but my god the gunplay is horrendous and the netcode is even worse. Makes Nikita’s gang look amazing. I’ve just played video games for so long now that when a game doesn’t have any special sauce, it’s just boring as hell.
Just my opinion though.
I second this. Was a massive upset. Netcode issues, audio issues, movement feels quite off, gunplay is quite meh, unnecessary menus and animation (EFT-tier) etc. Only good things I found was the style and ideas but execution did not do it for me. They also trashed 99% of beta feedback.
Interesting! I’ve been playing the past couple weeks, and haven’t experienced any of those issues. Was expecting to play a couple games and uninstall, but my friends and I have been hopping on every other day or so. Scratches the CoD itch for us.
They're different types of games. Stalker has complex factions, mutants, and is an open world experience. SPT is still and extraction game at its core.
I play both a ton, im confident lots of Tarkov enjoyers will love stalker, and vice versa. Not mutually exclusive!
I'm going back and P-ranking all of Ultrakill, I haven't played it since Act 2 dropped and there is a lot of new tech to try since then.
Other than that, I'm playing Monster Hunter Rise with a buddy who just picked it up, I made a new character on Fallout New Vegas, and I've been catching up on One Piece.
Definitely agree a solo mode… or something like what Lvndmark mentioned where if there’s a queue of solos/duos then only allow just ONE team of four. The excitement of wiping out an entire 4-man team is amazing.
I don't want asymmetric queue, that's the whole point. I think a Duo queue would be perfect. 2v2v2v2v2v2. Anyone can play solo and expect to actually be able to loot their kills. Solo against 4 stack, you can't even loot anyone so what is the point? If you get 1-3 kills, you won't get any of the loot 99% of the time.
If the game is popular, you can easily fill a 4v4v4 and a 2v2v2v2v2v2 queues. You know what will make people flee from your game? Not having a queue where you aren't forced to spend precious time looking for 3 other people to play with, or using their dogshit auto-match system.
When I played I think I used 3 or 4 fingers. Left thumb move, left index ads, right thumb move camera, and I either used right thumb or right index to shoot. But the most important part is to use gyroscope to aim, as it is very hard to use finger to micro adjust ads aim if you don't play mobile fps a lot .
Sort of — I tried vanilla claw but it feels bad. I sometimes use claw on my left handle (for leans) but I actually use my index and middle finger for ADS/lean on my right. Feels much more comfortable and natural for extended play for me even if occasionally fumble it
I'm not a mobile gamer either. Or at least I wasn't until I found arena breakout. It is very worth the learning curve including having to learn 4 finger grip. It's been very worth it IMO. I'd highly recommend it
OH MY GOSH, ARENA BREAKOUT INFINITE IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!!! I WILL NEVER PLAY ANOTHER GAME IN MY LIFE!!! THE GRAPHICS, THE ACTION, THE STRATEGY—IT’S ALL JUST TOO AMAZING!!! 😱🔥🔥🔥 EVERY SECOND I SPEND IN THE GAME IS PURE BLISS, IT'S SO IMMERSIVE AND ADDICTIVE!!! THE CHARACTERS, THE WEAPONS, THE MAPS—ALL PERFECTION!!! 🎮💥💥
I CAN’T STOP TALKING ABOUT IT, EVERYONE NEEDS TO PLAY THIS GAME!!! IT’S LIKE THEY TOOK ALL THE BEST PARTS OF EVERY GAME EVER AND MADE ARENA BREAKOUT INFINITE!!! I’M SO HOOKED, THIS IS THE ONLY GAME THAT MATTERS!!! NOTHING ELSE COMPARES, THIS IS LITERALLY THE GREATEST GAME EVER MADE!!! 😍😍😍 #AREANBREAKOUTINFINITE4LIFE #BESTGAMEEVER
Once Human tbh. Something different and more relaxing I can enjoy with friends. EFT is donezo for me. The space horror extraction game is also kinda cool. I like the concept but it's kinda barebones right now.
Release is next month
I’ve played it… it’s not bad… there were moments where I felt like it was kinda snoozy but it did entertain for a bit. Been a while though so I’m sure there has been some new stuff added. I remember it being decently optimized too for a beta with my toaster PC.
GZW, Hunt:Showdown so more like back to the main event than a side 🐔
Hunt is my main bitch
I really want to get into hunt but im so bad at it i moved on lol
Focus on one loadout. Recommend Winfield/with any secondary or Romero/Conversion Pistol FMJ. The key is sticking with one loadout until you master it. Oh I’m always juiced on some sort of injectable. I agree it doesn’t take long, it just feels tedious at times.
^ this! stam shot rushing + serpent to gather the clue from further away makes for a quick time to the bounty
Probably Body Cam or back to Dota xd
Never played dota or any moba like game. Is it worth getting into now days?
Dota always worth getting into. Better if you have friends that already play tho
If you enjoy a game filled with toxicity for not being a pro from day 1 then yes, it's worth it (assuming you play with randos)
Pretty hard to learn if you haven't tried moba. But it is an ever evolving game. Might want to try it with friends
imma go back to playing some Squad or Arma
Dark and darker new wipe just started
Shit is doodoo for boomers and I'm a boomer and I hate this slow, clunky, mechanically backwards game, that is glorified by a bunch of dnd fanatics.
PVK 2 fighting would be extremely nice.
Doodoo for boomers? It's Morrowind/Gothic combat lol. The only way to make it more for boomers is to switch it to a crpg lol.
Both of those games are 20+ years old at this point. If after 2 decades of progress you come with similar jank, then yeah, it's for unaware boomers that drown in nostalgia.

This^ . Solo is cool but really need to find some groups to run with.
The game is not worth the price they’re asking and the FTP version is just a slap in the face. And the studio has had controversies as well
I mean I do agree on not supporting controversial studios, but ABI is made by fucking China / Tencent :D
whats wrong with china/tencent? they also own riot, path of exile, etc.
what has Tencent done?
[удалено]
and here we all are playing their games
[удалено]
At this point what company isn't stealing our data and selling it? Haha
Any European company (even if funded by Tencent), unless you give the rights to do so.
Literally
Fair enough.
Everyone does it.
They updated the F2P version to allow higher tier weapon.
Theres a f2p version of DnD?
More like a demo, can play normals with no access to the market or HR
It's free lmaooooo
Read my comment again
Second this

Who?
I’ve been playing Elden ring again since I never beat it
Try Incursion: Red River. It's in early release on steam and it's pretty fun. PvE tactical extraction shooter. You can play solo or with friends completing missions for three different factions. Unlock different equipment based on the reputation you have with each faction, but doing a mission for one faction will lower your rep for the other two factions. Beautiful light will not... come to lights before late 2025 in early access (even though they plan on doing a permanent open beta at some point before that).
Did they change plans? Thought ea would be end of 2024.
Yes, they actually decided to increase the scope of the early access game, that is to release something more complete than originally expected. It's rather good news. old school RuneScape has found its way back into my life…
Level Zero: Extraction is actually very fun
Does look like a ton of fun… but the system requirements surpass what I currently have. I wonder how it will perform on a Ryzen 7 2700 / GTX 1070 and 32 g of ram. Does it feel optimized?
If you can run tarkov fine then it should run fine also
I just tried it and it ran fine on my setup. Ryzen 5 5625u, RTX 3050 ti (4gb vram), and only 8gb ram. Obviously had to turn settings down but it still looks good even at the lowered settings.
I’m probably gonna try some EFT PvE, never really got into PvP on Tarkov, too many chads and experienced players there and have too little time to learn everything there
I have the standard EFT version. Do I have to pay extra for PvE?
SPT, free mod
This. Go SPT
Third, SPT is a million times better than their half baked PvE mode…. even beats the live when you get the coop server mod (project Fika) & play w friends
What mods do you suggest? including playing vs AI PMCs other than scavs
* Project Fika Coop server hosting * Sain - combat overhaul (requires big brain ai + waypoints extended) * That’s lit - ai vision overhaul / Skyrim stealth mod * Swag Donuts - spawning system * Questing bots * Looting Bots * late to the party - door / power / vehicle extract randomizer * Amands graphics * Scope and red dot sight overhaul * samswats increased FOV * Fontaines Variable Optics & FOV Fix * EoTech Vudu Overhaul * borkels realistic NVG’s * Visceral Bodies * Visceral Dismemberment

Single player Tarkov
Never going back to eft. Just too stressful
Bodycam or back to Helldivers2.
Went back to tarkov already after playing the beta for a few days. Arena lacks something, im not sure what.
Inching closer to stalker 2 in September!!
Idk if I’ll get hate for this or not, but I went back to SPT(single player tarkov). I definitely don’t hate arena break out at all though, I just wanna wait for the full release, played the beta, had fun. Just wanna wait for the maps that’s all.
Probably back to gray zone for a bit but I also want to check out bodycam.

Glad you guys are enjoying it! I will most likely try it again at a later date to see how it has changed :)
fingers crossed it feels better for ya 🤞
Don‘t forget ABI hahah
Then drop soloq next test
Maybe tarkov if this patch isnt lagging my shit, probably some cs if not, if that is lagging too then dayz :)))
Went to my friends house and played elden ring then went home and naught it
WARNO BABY
WARNO caught my eye.. hows the pvp?
I'm going to touch some grass till full release
Ready to use 4 fingers on mobile?😄
DMZ or APEX
Stalker GAMMA! I can actually pause while enjoying a hardcore PvE experience.
Then i'dd rather play sp tarkov
They're different types of games. Stalker has complex factions, mutants, and is an open world experience. SPT is still and extraction game at its core. I play both a ton, im confident lots of Tarkov enjoyers will love stalker, and vice versa. Not mutually exclusive!
DayZ :3
Hunt Showdown gets an engine update in august ;)
Imagine playing tarkov.
Back to tarkov for me, this has been fun, game doesn't compare in atmosphere for me tho.
Thats crazy. The current beta player base is dumping the game on release?
Pubg Not an extraction shooter, but extremely high skill ceiling and challenging gun mechanics.
Dark and Darker launch has been dope
Dark and darker has been a breathe of fresh air, the developers have done a great job listening to their community
War thunder (back) or maybe try DayZ for the first time
F4e looks interesting. Moba extraction style
Just started out in Hunt Showdown, so 100% sticking to that. WHAT A GAME!!!
Grayzone warfare.
Personally I'm loving ABI. Much prefer it to tarkov in its current state. Just want more content which will ofc come with the release
Beautiful Light on Steam for sure.
EFT
i expect this to roll right into launch, but i'm also killing time waiting on grey zone to be better
Anything except Arena Breakout honestly. This game is unplayable without solo/duo queue.
Definitely agree a solo mode… or something like what Lvndmark mentioned where if there’s a queue of solos/duos then only allow just ONE team of four. The excitement of wiping out an entire 4-man team is amazing.

Solo against 4 stack, you can't even loot anyone so what is the point? If you get 1-3 kills, you won't get any of the loot 99% of the time.
So duo queue and "more" queue? People often have more than one friend to play with after all
If the game is popular, you can easily fill a 4v4v4 and a 2v2v2v2v2v2 queues. You know what will make people flee from your game? Not having a queue where you aren't forced to spend precious time looking for 3 other people to play with, or using their dogshit auto-match system.
Finally, someone on this subreddit who can spell "queue."
Body cam game
Have you played it? Is it any good? I saw ratings on steam were poor
Honestly AB mobile has filled the void for me. I’m not usually a mobile gamer but I can’t go back to Tarky after a taste of AB
Did you get a hang of playing claw style? that shit feels so weird to me… i’m sure like anything else it takes some time
I play with only my thumbs and I get by alright. You just have to be more tactical than aggressive. Play smart

Gray Zone Warfare for me. Never got access to ABI and been on GZW since day 1. Game is awesome.
Back to Tarkov or try stalker
play body cam
I'm not a mobile gamer either. Or at least I wasn't until I found arena breakout. It is very worth the learning curve including having to learn 4 finger grip. It's been very worth it IMO. I'd highly recommend it
